Grub doesn't work Mondays but he called in to cover this route, you'd normally see 1521 here. Anyways, he was severely behind because he broke down early into the route. The mechanic came and fixed him up, but the truck continued to have problems. A few streets after being fixed the arm would freeze at almost every stop. The mechanic came back and tried fixing the problem but it just kept persisting, essentially leaving him at the mercy of the truck's issue. Basically he just had to wait it out until the arm decided it wanted to work again, he was getting stuck 10-15 minutes at almost every stop, I thought they would just send him another truck but Grub said that was a no. Kinda odd since 1521 and 1532 were just sitting in the yard that day. I imagine Grub had help that day to finish this route, although 1717 is now his assigned truck, it seems they put him in a Python when he gets called in. I really felt bad for him that day, oh well, I'm sure drivers get used to break downs on old trucks.

Yeah I felt bad for him, he was talking to his supervisor lots, probably complaining about the truck. Yeah trucks will do this when they get up in age.
Great video Andres! Darn that sure would have driven me nuts if I was the driver. Wow poor driver that had to deal with that all day. Is that a common issue with the python arms? Pretty smooth truck otherwise when it wasn’t breaking, enjoyed the lid flips and the yellow arm kinda looks good with the red body. The shot with the road mechanic truck behind him was neat too. Nice work again bro! Btw we will be in Vegas next week. 👍
Thanks Kevin! I don't really think so, I think it is just cause it's old break downs happen more and more. Oh wow that's awesome, going to the waste expo? Must’ve been a long day for him. I like how smooth the arm is when it actually works haha. I’m assuming drivers at this yard work five days a week even though they have routes Monday-Saturday?
It was a long day for him, the route is big so he had a long day ahead of him. No, they work 4 days a week, four 10 hour shifts. You are right about the Monday - Saturday routes.
How old are the pythons now?

Sorry to burst your bubble but Im sure the yard would rather get new ZRs than send an old truck down there. If you ever go to Henderson NV you will see them.
