All of a sudden green vertical lines appeared on my samsing s20 plus .Visited the service centre . They have said that the screen needs to be replaced on chargeable basis.

Just wanted to update:
Was hearing about Samsung providing free replacement since a couple of weeks. Last time i went 3 weeks back and they quoted 17.5K for screen and battery.
Called up the nearest service center and they do confirmed that the free replacement is indeed going on! So no need to mail Samsung support lodge Consumer Complaint. However the service center said i need to deposit my phone for a few days. They will check my phone condition for dents, water damage etc and if everything is ok will order a free replacement else not.
This is definitely big news. Thanks to all social media influencers and especially Ash for taking the big initiative ❤
Let's see what happens for me. I am scared they may reject saying water damage or other things. Keeping my fingers crossed 🙂

They took time to acknowledge this issue .. for which I waited 6 months for any update so I waited and finally...I heard news ..that we can get the screen replaced for free. I got it replaced in 2 days..Samsung service was good. I appreciate what they have done..but in future if any such kind of issues occurs there should be a open discussion and Samsung should not wait till people post videos ..and get angry...One who are facing this issue..can get their battery and screen replaced for free. Condition is no screen or water damage on phone.

I think it will not work. Because if the phone opend in outside markets then service centers not providing free of cost repair.

Final Update: #3
Got my S20+ Display + Battery replaced free of cost, phone was repaired within 7 days, however they didn't get approval to hand it over to me which took 3 more days = total 10 days. They didn't format or do anything with the phone, unlike they mentioned while submitting for repair. Feels great to get the display fixed and get a new battery at the same time. Only thing which is bothering me is if this problem reappears after 1 year then what happens.

Bhai mai apna phone samsung s20 plus service senter par leke gya . Mujhe Pura din pareshan kiye Pura din baitha ke Bola ki aapka nahi ho payega. Bola ki waterdamege hai . But phone ekdum neat and clean hai. Bas green line aya hai .

Yes. You need to reach out nearest samsung service centre. I also reached samsung support. My S20 + display is replaced free of cost.

@@aniketgautam07 hello brother, I don't know Hindi but I can understand a little as I studied during my schooling. You're asking " my warranty is over what to do?" Correct me if I'm wrong. My phone was also out of warranty. But you need to tell them that the issue was caused due to software update. Ask service centre to create job sheet. Write an email to samsung support. I reached support via phone, email and what's app. After 2 level escalation they agreed to replace it for free and I didn't pay 15500 rs. So you also do the same.
