Smooth as it gets. Thank goodness young folks like these, are keeping acoustic music alive.
True
A beautiful song and performance that resonates. Good country for sure.
Just discovered 'Mandolin Orange'. What a wonderful revelation to have come across something so clarifying. Sweet sound and their playing is 'exemplar'
I had the privilege of seeing Mandolin Orange live a few nights back. They have a strong connection which you can witness on the video. They have wonderful voices and play beautiful songs.
pure love awesome
they blew the doors open on my heart
straight away
let the Lord do that
This is a beautiful comment I don't know if this is a current saying but I'm going to make it mine now. Thank you.
Something so fine about 2 people getting their instruments & voices into beautiful harmonies. Enjoyed your work!
Very nice song. This girl can flat sing harmony.
The chemistry is good with these two. They are perfect together. Beautiful music for the soul.
Stunning talent, beautiful music, beautiful young couple.
Wunderbare Musik und so angenehme Stimmen...Ich liebe Mandolin Orange
Going to see them tonight in Harrisburg!
I love you two so much...thank you for the wonderful writing and playing!
Best duo you will ever hear ...
Know them but I think they're not as good as Mandolin :) my opinion ...
Beautiful song!
constantly filling my life with positive music and love 💙 mandolin orange always
That's so sweet!
Love it!
Quite a few of their tunes have a melancholy lilt to them, and if you're feeling a bit sad, they'll surely provide some comfort. I'm not sad as I listen to a mix of their material here on UA-cam, but their songs comfort me anyway. Today, March 2022, we live in a nation where "I need to hate my neighbor" is a popular thing. It's music like this that gets me through bullshit like that.
Great stuff kids!
You guys are so refreshing!
Best duo of all time! I never get tired of listening to your music.
So beautiful !!!
Perfect, great country music still lives, Mandolin Orange / Watchhouse will keep the tradition alIve
I love every song I've heard by mandolin orange I'll forever be a fan of your timeless music I hope it passes on to your children
I watched the echo vid fifteen times.

This is very addictive :)
What a beauty.... I mean the unbearded one.
Very very nice. Really enjoyed listening....Wishes you a Merry Christmas....Alyre & Lorenzo Old Time Music.
What a majestic sound.
Nothing like a beautiful girl who can sing.
Unbelievable. Found this (and all their performances) recently on UA-cam. This song in particular reminds me of Long Black Veil originally from Johnny Cash, and later redone by others including Dave Matthews Band. Haunting and honest with tragedy. There is nothing like great story telling through song.
Great sound, great foundation, and then add lyrics to link that sound, off to their site to find tickets
Great sound from these two
Saw you guys open for the Steep Canyons. They should have opened for you! Come back to Charlotte soon. Hope to see you at Merlefest.
gorgeous!!!!
LOVE this band
Just beautiful.....
reeking with chemistry par excellence
Im fan of Mandolin Orange, from Brasil. I think it the Emily especially beauty!
love it!
Beautiful.!!
So Good!
Willie should cover this.
made my evenings....
wow, y'all are the new Gilliam Welch Dave Rawlings...you have an intimate vibe that is just compelling. I have to watch. wonderful music, thank you.
Nice work.
Wish I could like, do multiple likes on songs... to signify the level of the like. Cause I'd give this one a few.
Seriously.. she is so beautiful and so talented. Dream girl Emily Frantz
I hope you'll consider performing in Kansas City. Call Frank at Knuckleheads; he has a great venue. I'll be seeing Greg Brown there next month; hope to see you both there someday, too!
wildly entertaining
In my humble opinion this is by far e best version - cleaner, more acoustic than on the album.
They always give the impression that the vocals are kinds "half-hearted", but they work perfectly - especially for this very well crafted song - simply storyline: - man loses woman, goes out to get drunk, but - so much more in the detail. I've been a "kinda" mandolin player for many years although as I work with a mando player, I don't get much chance to play mine anymore, but Andrew Marlin's style actually taught me stuff about about double stopping etc. Thank you for the music you two! When are you coming to the UK?
Officially on my bucket list. Get a bit closer to KCMO. Knuckleheads?
They're playing in Fayetteville/Little Rock area soon. I'm still thinking about it, but running out of time
On the bright side, it's better than no ring at all
Looks like both instruments had a few of the upper frets pulled and the fingerboards scooped. Never noticed before.
I find reactions to Emily interesting. Objectively speaking she is not a great beauty. But the whole is larger than the sum of its parts here. Somehow she conveys the sense she is totally devoted to pleasing her audience, and that sense makes her even more appealing than she already is. And she makes a perfect match for Andrew, who is one of the most comfortable and attractive singers in folk music. What a pair!
Hello
Could someone tell me what guitar Emily is playing?
It is a guitar Andrew built
A
probably want to correct the "about" info at some stage :p
Superb song.
I think their name change is the stupidest move ever. They did not ask me my opinion but I have to post my two cents.
so if ya play music ya stop getting a hair cut
love it!
