You've overlooked that crabs have an autoflood ability now. Also the sharks counterbuff to only having 2 defence wasn't an attackbuff (they had 3 attack already), but a healthbuff 10->15. So a very nuanced change: sharks take about the same amount of hits to go down, but deal less retaliation damage in the process which is in turn counterbalanced with the sharks taking no retaliation themselves due to suprise. Makes them feel more different to rammers so I really like it. Potentially a little bit strong, but aquarion is supposed to be superior on water anyways. Completely agree that swordsman should have fortify it just kinda hurts the niche they're played in to not have it. Pufferfish are a great addition they are a really good solution to fix the otherwise slow flooding problem Regardless of balancing I'm gonna miss the old tridentions. They were an aquarion staple and I have nostalgia for them (prob for the better though😢) Overall a very positive update👍

Idea: scuba units (Aquarion cloaks) have an ability called submerge. When they can go invisible, but only on flooded or water tiles. When invisible on ocean tiles, they "submerge" themselves and cannot be detected by any unit and units can move onto the same tile without realizing they are there.
@SLokutaR only on water or flood tiles. On regular land it cannot hide and it's movement is cut to one tile. And while submerged it also can only move one tile

I think the every tribe having aqua farms thing is something akin to how you can only see metal once you have Climbing. I think they are always naturally there, it's just that other tribes can't see or use them because they don't have the Aquarion-specific Fishing tech. That's just my theory, though, I don't know if this is still a thing in modern Polytopia nearly half a year along.
This new unit may seem like a fish, but it rules over everything! Doubles my timer in drylands. Stacks multiplicatively after death. I now have 720 years left in one game and I think it has cured my own mortality!
You can sea the AquaFarms( As Aquarion ) as if you Captured the city, YOU can plant aqua Farms... BUT Other Tribes Can't See those farms (like how the Cymantea can only see their spores as opposed to other tribes can't... or You can't Sea Farmland if you don't own a Certain Tech)
I think the other tribes dont get to ever access or see aqua farms, but they let them generate like they used to so aquarion can have them outside their home terrain, since they cant create more as easily as cymanti can make more spores.
they should make it so that u can unlock crabs in the aquaculture tech like the rammer, and their super unit should be a kraken, which has a move tsunami which can flood any tile and lower a cities population so it produces less stars (unless it has a city wall, then it breaks that) and does damage to units
My theory (and hope) is that they’ll add krakens for elyrion which would be enchanted starfish in the same way they used to have enchanted whales. It feels like krakens would fit perfectly into the game and it just makes sense to me that starfish could turn into them but idk they would defo fit the aquarion vibe too for obvious reasons

I noticed that the sunken city in the north corner didn’t change the deep ocean tiles next to it into water tiles, is that a bug? I feel like it should have made the four surrounding tiles into water tiles
Finally, now the Aquarion will become the tribe which can defeat THE CYMANTI!!!🎉 Also now we need the ýron(weird special nature tribe)'s Rework...as it's really bad...who even uses it except Ai?
Swordsmen not having fortify sucks so bad, tried playing vengir the other day and forgot they don’t fortify.. lost my most important city because the wall didn’t so anything. I want them to give it back so bad!
It really doesn’t make sense that archers have fortify but swordsmen don’t, they aren’t even that strong, nerf mine generation a bit if they’re too strong
Only play Polytopia on mobile so I just got the update now. But Jelly(why arent they yellybellys?) Are BUUUUSTED. the economy is so great and as long as you're on a water based map the jelly's just stop any major movement. Gonna test them against some crazy Cymanti later, but so far I just think they're headed for a nerf soon.
I love this update So my friend and I were playing this game for a while now and noticed only the special units are OP, so I, who has bought all of them, wanted to see which would be the best to buy. My friend likes navy-play, but in all my tests - even the aqua-world one - aquarion was dogshit. With this update they might actually be ruling the sea for once.
Sharks should also have Stiff... They seem too OP, the other unit with Surprise is the Phychi and those are weak AF, but sharks are very strong with 3 attack
This is neat, but I do wish they would change all the races a little instead of just the special premium races. Imagine if every race was this complex instead of just being one tech different.
