The best Jinjer song is always the next one.
I have yet to find a Jinjer song that I don't like.
For me, Jinjer is probably my best musical find of the last 15 yrs. Seriously.
They have a lot of exciting songs to explore. Fortunately, they expanded their discography regularly. And they have some real gems also right from the beginning. I follow them since when I watched the "Outlander" video. But you can literally pick ANY official video and official live video and be happy with it. For sure worth a reaction. They never get boring, and they were excellent right from the start.
I wish you a lot of fun on your Jinjer journey, Stacey.
    🙂

Great reaction. That ending gets every reactor every time. Yes you definitely need to see them live. I discovered Jinjer in Dec 2020 and instantly fell in love with their music buying all their CDs, vinyls, t-shirts, etc since at that time they weren't touring due to the pandemic. I have seen them twice at the HOB in Dallas. Awesome shows. I also did the meet and greet each time. First one was social distanced but the second wasn't and we actually got to talk with all 4 even Tatiana who is typically very shy, but my wife asked her about the dress she was wearing for the M&G and that got Tati talking. Eugene is the major talker of the group. Love all 4 of them. Keep going. Need to do older songs too like Scissors, Cloud Factory, etc.

Tatiana taught herself to growl by screaming at cars on the highway!! How cool is that? I saw them in Melbourne just before the lockdowns and Tati.is a force of nature in a Live performance!!! Jinjer opened with Teacher Teacher and didn't relent the whole show. If you can see them live you must do it!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed this, Stacey.
Jinjer is a band, each member is really talented alone but they work together for their songs message. Other tracks to react to:
"Judgement (and Punishment)" Tatiana's One-Take Vocal version,
"Just Another" the official music video,
"Who is Going to Be The One" live,
"On the Top" and "Pit of Consciousness" both live in Kiev,
    "Vortex" the official music video,
"Home Back" the official music video, this is a personal one for the band as it's about the invasion of the part of the Ukraine which they're from by Russian troops in 2015,
"Call Me a Symbol" the official music video,
two earlier tracks to react to with their previous Drummer,
"I Speak Astronomy" the official music video, and,
"Sit Stay Roll Over" the official music video. There are plenty of other tracks but these are good ones to continue with.

No worries. Jinjer always rolls through Texas on their headlining tours. Dallas, Austin and or San Antonio are the usual stops. I first saw and met them in '19 in Austin. I gave Tatiana a cookie monster shirt.😁 Saw them again in '22 at Emo's Austin. They typically tour the US in the Fall/Winter. You'll get to witness the awesomeness of Jinjer live next Fall. 🤘

Hi Stacey, love the reaction. You have to keep in mind that when Tatiana uses her growl, she's not using her vocal cords but her false vocal cords, mostly, and anybody can do it, as long as they have the correct technique and a good voice trainer, plus years of practice. Be warned, they have several tracks where you think the track has ended...but it hasn't 😉

    • @Desu-Desu-Chan-San
      @Desu-Desu-Chan-San 7 місяців тому +1

@@StaceyRPGReacts Yep, you can do growls with them and not do any damage or feel pain. If you do feel pain, you are doing it wrong. Best way to learn it is doing breathy, almost whisper growls, you can feel the difference between it and normal vocal fold screaming as you add more volume and pitch.

I just went on a binge of your Jinjer reactions. One song that a lot of people won't recommend (simply by default, Jinjer has an amazing discography) is I Speak Astronomy. It's on the same album as Pisces and I think is one of the songs that just got lost in the shuffle. I Speak Astronomy is a metal masterpiece that really demonstrates both Tatiana's range and the talent of the band. It's also a little longer than most of their songs. Do yourself a favor and reach to it, you won't be disappointed.

They are both extremely talented. It's a different sound that pushes more on the harsh, but still great. Old iwrestledabearonce falls into another sound, and with an amazingly talented lead in Krysta Cameron (pre Courtney LaPlante who everyone knows from Spiritbox).

Stacey you made a comment in one of your previous videos that most metal/hard rock bands have male lead vocals. In the European and Scandinavian bands it is quite common for them to have female leads. Jinjer and Nightwish are 2 bands I listen to on a regular basis and would like to see you do more reactions to both of them. I'm gonna recommend some other bands you should definitely get to at some point. All of them will have female lead vocals.
    Epica - Netherlands
    Amaranthe - Sweden
    Lacuna Coil - Italy
    Blackbriar - Netherlands
Beyond the Black - Sweden (I think)
Ad Infinitum - Switzerland and Germany
    Spiritbox - Canada
    Unleash the Archers - Canada

Hi nerb! I'm with you on all this! Love everything about Jinjer! Literally nothing to not love. You're one of the Jinjer Army now!
Yes, you must see them live! They have announced another "make-good" show in Las Vegas on 4/27/24--the day before my birthday! They've also announced they'll be opening for Sepultura on that band's farewell tour in Europe late in the year. I live in Alabama, but I'm literally already starting to make contingency plans for traveling to another state if that's what I have to do to see Jinjer in 2024.
When I first saw Jinjer a year ago, it was shock and awe. I was so blown away on so many levels. I felt like my 15 year old self at my first concert, seeing Fleetwood Mac on the tour after Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham just joined (yes I am that old). I had posters of Stevie on all my walls and I was in love with a rock star for the first time. I was blushing like you with Robert Plant. As a bassist, seeing Jinjer I was resolved to study Eugene, while knowing I was fully in love with Tatiana. No way. I felt Tatiana pulling me like a magnet. My eyes were riveted to her for much of the performance. Every once in a while I'd check out Eugene doing a riff lol. I could FEEL him all night!
And here's the thing. I was right up against the rail! If you catch one of their headlining shows (highly recommended over a show opening for a "bigger" band, at an arena, at a much higher price, and probably in a nosebleed seat) and you're willing to stand in line outside for a few hours, you can get close enough to almost touch the band. They might accept the gift of a hat or t-shirt from you! You could make eye contact! And let me tell you, making eye contact with Tatiana when she's onstage is like getting hit with a sledgehammer.
And when I looked around me, I was completely surrounded by women and girls, some quite young. All looking up at her in awe. And headbanging. Most glorious thing I've ever seen. Tatiana doesn't come off with deliberate sexy vibes. But she could have had any person in that place, man woman or child!
She exudes the presence of a superhero. You feel like you're in the presence of royalty.
Ok Stacey, you seriously MUST check out Tatiana's Judgement (& Punishment) one take vocal performance!! I cannot emphasize this strongly enough young lady! Listen to your elders! I can see you're already smitten. That video in particular I feel is gonna be right up your alley! Like me you will profess undying love for Tati.
And also Roman, Vlad and Eugene. But they don't appear in that vid.
Rock on metalhead! You're one of us now! We welcome you! Come mosh with us!

7:36 Jinjer absolutely slays instrumentally, as good as King Crimson at their peak. The calm bridges are absolute masterpieces with perfect timing. I swear they could deliver the entire first King Crimson album flawlessly live. I kinda wish they would cover it since NO ONE ELSE could improve on it.
Imagine this band delivering Moon Child or Court of the Crimson King or 20th century Schizoid Man. With Tati vocals switching it all up. Hmm

I'd be surprised if they go through the logistics for the makup concert and don't book a full tour to go with it. Especially since they should have a new album out by then to promote. But who knows. The guys started composing the new album while stuck in Kyiv under siege and its said to be very heavy and melodic.

Food for thought, when done right harsh vocals is fine. Look at the following examples. George "Corspegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse, John Gallagher of Dying Fetus and John Tardy of Obituary. Fisher is 51 years old and been a death metal vocalist since 1991. Gallagher is 47 and formed the band in 1991. Tardy is 55 and been doing it since 1986. Keep in mind they do nothing but growled vocals from start to finish....every album.

Nice Reaction! There are some Vocal Coaches here on YT that do reactions and you want to talk about being confused on how Tatiana does what she does. There is one that said she knows when someone is doing the screaming/growling wrong because when they switch to their clean voice it will have some grit in it, but that when Tatiana switches to her clean voice it is beautiful.

Have you listened to Spiritbox yet? I would suggest maybe starting with Blessed Be and then maybe the one take of Circle With Me. Another female fronted band I would think you would love.

Hello Stacey to the USA from 🇨🇭 little Switzerland 🤘🏼☺️ Another great, wonderful reaction from you, oh sorry you two 🐱😉 I already left you a comment on your first reaction to Jinjer and Pisces, sorry for a bit longer text, and so far all direct links to pretty much all songs in chronological order of development and some changes by some members of the band! I can really recommend that you visit this band live on tour or as a support act on tour for a big band! Especially as a non-heavy metal/metal head and woman to get started, Jinjer is an excellent choice because they are so specifically multi-layered and not as extremely monotonous as most heavy metal bands in particular, which tend to be too extreme at the beginning! I saw and heard the band live for the first time in 2012 by chance and was speechless at how extremely talented and technically advanced all the members were! And Tatjana there, the amazing stage present and badass power of the entire show! Their sound was a little wilder and harder, but still unforgettable! Through my work alone, Jinjer has now been seen live almost 20 times as a guest or more through appearances at festivals or her tour in Europe and Switzerland! Their tour through North America just ended, in 2024 they are mainly working on their new album in the studio, so full-length live concerts in 2024 will be rare to exclusive, only a few here and there worldwide! But they will be on tour as a support act in 2024 with Sepultura at the end of the summer and beginning of autumn / winter in the main phase for touring for many bands! But Jinjer is really worth hearing and seeing live on stage and realizing that they are just as good or even better than in videos or albums! Greetings 🤘🏼

Another great band that you should check out that is totally underrated is Clutch. They are just a great solid rock and roll band. I recommend live DC Sound Attack if you are looking for something new that you have never heard yet.🔥

If you think Tati shifts harsh to clean flawlessly wait till you hear Courtney LaPlante do it SYLLABLE BY SYLLABLE eg Circle With Me one take (Spiritbox)

That's the thing. She's is amazing, performing w/ 3 other amazing artists. Combined they hit all the buttons. I can't imagine what a live performance must be like. ZIf you're into background, watch Tatiana's interview w/ The Charismatic Voice.. very informative.

Don't know if it's been said, but Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev is top tier for the band. This live version is so much more powerful than the studio version!

You seem a very gentle and affable soul, I like watching you because you are humble. Don't worry about your lack of experience, per se. You are as taken with Tati and the band in the same way as we all were when we discovered them. It's great that the band gets more exposure through your channel. Keep going down the rabbit hole. I have another great rabbit hole for you (very different). Try 'Hi Ren', by Ren. He is also life-changing.

I know You love Floor Jansen from Nightwish, I think You should react to Epica - Sancta Terra with Floor, two Dynamite Women Goddesses, it's just a jaw dropping performance. Both Girls are besties they lived together and studied singing together you can see their chemistry and connection on stage, I think this should be Your next reaction. Something new with something great.

If you are searching for another Rammstein song soon, I can recommend a more unknown song called "Stirb nicht vor mir" from the album Rosenrot. It is a more soft one, with not all the heavy instruments they usually use. The song is a kind of duett between Till singing and the shottish female singer Sharleen Spiteri,so recommendable if you like a song which includes some english.

To be honest, if you're not familiar with metal, I think Jinjer's brand of metal can be pretty hard to get into. When I first started listening to them, "Teacher Teacher" was one of the tracks that was harder for me to follow. There's a density and complexity to the rhythms and riffs that I think make it hard to follow until after several listens.
The talent of the band is pretty obvious to see and it's great you enjoy them so much, but I think you'll appreciate them more and more as you become more familiar with them and other bands with other musical styles. You have plenty of Jinjer recommendations by now, so I think you're ready for Spiritbox. I've suggested them before but I don't remember what song...so I'm thinking Courtney's "Rule of Nines" one take performance is a good introduction.

Diving into the Jinjer's ocean is taking the risk to go very deep.
If you want to find different pleasures and other ways of growling and shouting, you should listen to Arch Enemy. Angela Gossow and Alissa White-Gluz have a very different way of singing, but both are a pure pleasure to hear. Try Nemesis for Angela (usually the Live in Tokyo is a reference for pure brutality) and the music video of Handshake with Hell for Alissa. Also listen to Alissa ft. for Nita Strauss. The Wolf You Feed is becoming a new classic. Another way of screaming is Courtney LaPlante, from Spiritbox. I think her One Take video of Circle with Me is a great way to get mesmerized.
    Have fun
