In Rotterdam-Netherlands we have the largest port in Europe, but even then it cannot be compared to the vastness of the New York port. Nice video again.
Hi Capt. Frank, I watch a lot of your videos. I wish I knew you were coming up this way, I would tried to meet up with you. I'm from Westchester County NY and ski in the Long Island sound mostly. I used to do the East River to the WTC and Statue in the early 2000's ; Good work as always. Happy skiing.
Generally yes. If you went north on it for 20 minutes, you would go through hells gate, three currents meet. You would then be by LaGuardia airport and Rikers Island prison.
Robbins Reef lighthouse: Over a century ago, the keeper of light died, and his widow, Kathy Walker, took over and raised her children there while living in the lighthouse. Have another look and you'll see that the lighthouse sits on top of a rock, wirh no land there whatsover. Kathy took her kids to school on Staten Island by row boat. Which is amazing considering the distance and tidal current there. Not every New York ighthouse-on -a-rock has such a cute story:At Execution Rock lighthouse, Royalists chained Revolutionaries to the rocks at low tide. Which explains why "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" made it into our constitution. Or the story of Typhoid Mary on North Brother Island ...... the story of General Slocum at Hell Gate .... the story of Black Tom Island, where a huge explosion damaged the Ststue of Liberty .... Google these New York Harbor stories and enjoy
Have you ever worried about your hull delaminating? I have a 2019 fx svho. Just seeing if you have ever ran into issues or if you have used gatorglide. Thanks
Beautiful !!! What a treat!
Yes sir! Another great day of riding!
Absolutely!!!
This looks soooooooooo amazing! Seeing NY from the water. 🤩
It was amazing. You must do it sometime!

That's awesome! Thanks for watching. Question: is the East River always that rough?
Generally yes. If you went north on it for 20 minutes, you would go through hells gate, three currents meet. You would then be by LaGuardia airport and Rikers Island prison.
Looks like a great trip! I enjoy your channel
Thanks so much. It was an awesome trip and something a little different than what we usually do. I would do it again.

No issues at all. I am careful not to run it up on beaches though. That's actually not good for any ski, especially nano Excel.
@@TheShipsLogg have you considered doing gatorglide at all?
@@justinnhl95 Thought about it but don't think I need it. I've talked to folks that have gotten it done and the machine does handle a bit differently.
