Rich, just a suggestion: I've only just discovered your Help and Support page (the link for which is oddly at the bottom of your Web site Home page - recommend you also include a link at the top of your Web site home page). It's full of a load of valuable information on how to use Spoked - maybe add the link to your video description above? (UA-cam doesn't allow me to insert a Web address in comments).
I'm just getting going with this thanks to an introductory offer from Always Another Adventure. I've been trying to figure it all out for myself but now I've seen this vid, it really helps! Week1 done with a high accuracy score but I suspect this was maybe more luck than anything else as I just rode what I would have ridden on Swift anyway. I'm hoping to be able to pick Swift routes/workouts to match my plan as I go forward as I do quite enjoy having the video element to motivate me. Any tips for trying to best achieve this match would be appreciated.
Hey Mike. Thanks for the feedback and it's great to you on board. There are a couple of things that can help: 1. You can ride your Spoked workouts into Zwift. To achieve this, please connect Spoked x TrainingPeaks (only need a free account / export present day only) x Zwift. Once these three are connected, when you tap export in Spoked your workout will automatically appear in your Zwift workout folder for you to ride. 2. If you like the look of a Zwift workout, add this as a "Free ride" in Spoked, set the planned difficulty and the tap "recalculate week" when editing your week. This will then update any Spoked structured workouts, to ensure your training workload is kept balanced against your weekly volume, what you've ridden so far, your goal and phase. Please if anything else comes to mind, just shout. You can also drop a note in our Discord (Link to join: discord.gg/mj6Yq3SgDa or link is found in the Spoked home screen). Thanks, Rich.
Is there anyway to look/update/edit the training plan that's not on my phone? I like to sit down behind my computer once a week and look at my plan on my laptop and don't care to look at it on my phone, any chance this is possible?
Hey David. Unfortunately we've just focused on phone only for now. But I can appreciate where you're coming from. It's just being a small core team of 3, it's a juggling act of what we can actually achieve. Hope that's ok? But if you get stuck with anything or want to jump on a call - please email me at rich@spoked.ai. Take care. Rich.
I ride almost exclusively on Zwift over the winter (northern hemisphere). My Zwift data are already automatically transferred to my Garmin Connect account. Will spoked pull in the data from Garmin Connect, or do I have to use my Garmin head unit during my Zwift session, in order for Spoked to grab the data?
Hey David. Good question. Spoked will pull in your data from Garmin, Wahoo or Strava. So in this case, providing your Zwift completed rides push to your Garmin Connect, Spoked will see them 👍. Alternatively, you can sync Spoked with Strava too. Just remember to connect everything before you start your first ride. However, if you want to mention to Zwift can they establish a link with Spoked, that would be greatly appreciated😀 If you get stuck with anything, you can email me; rich@spoked.ai. Hope that helps. Rich.
@@spokedhq Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't seem to work. I completed a 60-min and 90-min ride on Zwift this afternoon. They have, as usual, been exported automatically to my Garmin Connect and Strava accounts. In my Spoked account Settings, it shows me as being connected to my Garmin Connect account but not my Strava account (which is how I've set it up, for simplicity). However, when I click on "Complete Session" for the free ride in my app, under "your ride" it says my account is connected to Strava (it's not), and the drop-down menu doesn't show my two rides either in Strava or Garmin (it just says, "None of these"). Too complicated, already ....
@@davidrowe8747 Thanks for the update. To double check, have you toggled on "activities" when you first connected Spoked to Garmin (there should be 3 x toggles on that connection page / you can check this in your Garmin Connect settings)? In regards to "Complete Session" we need to update this static copy to help avoid confusion, as for a while we only had Strava - sorry about that. If the above solves the issue (we hope so), you may need to re-upload those rides or you should be good for your next ride. Thanks for your patience David, I promise you won't regret it. Rich.
@@spokedhq I have restarted my phone, opened Spoked, and re-checked my Garmin connection. The three toggles were all on (including activities). However, just to be sure, I disconnected Garmin, and reconncted, checking that the three toggles were still on. However, I'm finding the exact same thing happening - when I tap the 2hr30min Free Ride I had entered for yesterday, and tap "Complete Session", I'm taken t the same screen ("Your Ride") as yesterday, with a slider for "How did it feel?", and when I tap the drop-down to "Select a ride", it still says, "None of these" (i.e., the Garmin ride doesn't show). I also have a side question - the 2hr30min ride is actually two separate events on Zwift, and therefore in Garmin. When I eventually get Garmin's record to show, can I select the two rides to pull in as my "2hr30min" ride in m Spoked diary? Or do I have to tell Spoked I did a 90-min ride and a 60-min ride? This would be a bit inconvenient, because I often do more than one ride in Zwift in one session. (I'd email you, but I thought having this exchange here on UA-cam will help other users).
