I have loved every minute of my disc golf journey, but I have been wanting to compete so bad I couldn't wait any longer. I take on my first professional disc golfer Hannah McBeth in this 9 hole match at Peaks View Park in Lynchburg, VA. We had Paul McBeth with us to give us tips along the way. Hannah currently has a 916 rating and has been working hard on her game this off season. Really excited to see what she does this year! Wish her the best of luck!

Honestly, this was the most informative videos on disc golf I've ever seen. To hear what Paul thinks about with hole helps a beginner like me to see more than just the obvious line, and get beyond the spray (throw) and pray approach.
This mostly felt like a guideline rules video with green etiquette intertwined, and for that reason it is the best video of this run. It provides a great resource for the newcomers to the sport.
This round was already a massive improvement from the last round Brodie!! You’ve got a lot of work to do, but that’s the fun part. Good luck!!

I just have to say that I love the dynamic between Paul and Brodie. This is great for the sport and I think Brodie with patience can be really good!! Keep up the entertaining content and can’t wait to see what the future brings for Brodie!

That clip doesn't pertain to touching the basket. I was seeing if I could find the rule Paul refers to. But I was unable to find it. Could be a rule, I've never heard of it though.
@@shawnnorthup7254 No, Paul said to throw it in instead of placing it in to avoid touching, which is illegal. Brodie practices and throws against the chains, Paul said to avoid the chains because sometimes they toss your disc out. Then said someone did that on video in a major championship. (I literally just watched that part of the video)

Hey man, I didn't really watch a ton of your older videos, I wasn't sure I liked your personality lol, BUT...I gotta say, over the past few months or so your content has really improved, you seem to be more aware of your audience, show humility, eagerness to learn and an overall love for life. You've changed, your content has changed, and I'd wager your audience has grown more in the past few months than ever before. These vids got me into disc golf. Best of all, my wife also tried disc golf and likes it, so we finally have an outdoor activity that we both enjoy. I owe this channel a debt of gratitude for that.
I really appreciate that Brodie shows us that he is still learning the stuff, asks questions, and is in the role of a novice. One could easily expect that it would be hard to accept that role being already a top player in another disc sport. This is a great way to teach other people new to the sport all the different things you have to know about throwing and competing.

I've been playing this course for 20+ years and its one of my favorites. I've actually aced hole 9 in a tournament many years ago. It would be so cool to play a round there with Paul and Hannah!
It's nice to see Hannah getting to practice with someone who's still learning, so it's more like Paul's helping both of y'all compete instead of it feeling like a critique session. Super fun to watch! Also great practice for the future, when the McBeths teach their own kid how to play lol

Brodie, thanks for helping to bridge the two sports. A few years ago, I started tossing discs with my niece, who lives in Germany. She is now 16 and part of an adults ultimate team. I am hoping that she starts getting the itch for disc golf as well. I've been sending her these videos as a little hint ;)

I like how you throw in those moments where you know you’re doing something wrong, but you make it a learning experience for the audience. Most people wouldn’t know, also with golfers, it’s common courtesy to not stand behind the basket, or cup, in the line of putting.

Loving all the new disc golf content and it's great to see Paul out there. This was definitely a great marketing plan to get all the discraft discs out there and show what they are good for. I never knew much about them besides my buzz and Paul's new discs. Definitely makes me want to go pick up some more discraft stuff and that is obviously the ultimate goal here. Norwegian here. I know you'll never read this on an old video like this, but I'll give it to you anyway. 3 layers is all you ever need (except boxers or panties). Inner layer is 100 % wool. Middle layer is 100 % wool. Outer layer is a wind proof jacket with goose. Thickness of middle layer and jacket depends on how cold it is, and how you personally handle cold. For legs it's 2 layers. Superunderwear of wool and a pair of windproof pants.
