Eric is as unique as Jimi. The most humble scholar, turned into a master. Pure genius, endless talent, simple and complex at the same time. He will always be my hero.
@@NikkieRoxxxI thought that was Roscoe, didn't recognize him right off with his short hair. I started to recognize his brilliant playing though early on!
One of the best comps out there as an instrumental. There are very few guitarists that can pull off engaging an audience without vocals or theattrics. Eric Johnson is one of them.
I'm 23, and I listen to this guy a lot! I want to get his signature Startocaster guitar. I want to be able to play Cliff's of Dover one day. Wish Eric Johnson would make a lesson video for that song. Slow and fast.
This is one my favorites from EJ this song change my life I met EJ in 84 in Baton Rouge ,La his sound was just insane and his playing was so crazy good my ego was totally shattered forever but it gave me the motivation to become so much better as a musician and also a tone chaser which is never ending , anyway just want to thank you for giving us push that to become better musician!
The greatest tonemaster. Ridiculous chops. Astonishing compositions. Anybody remember, "Who is Eric Johnson and Why is He On the Cover of 'Guitar Player?'"
I saw him last in July '05 at the long gone BB King blue's night club near time's square NY. And first in August '93 at Paramount theater at Madison square gardens. He's the best I ever heard and should impress Clapton
Man! I’m missing home. I chose to leave Austin years ago and sometimes, due to the growth, I don’t regret, but man, EJ and this song always brings up memories..
My memories of his music are from my home town Charleston,SC. He wd play Myskins Tavern on market street..maybe 150 people. Always 2nd wk in December. 1980's. I hope you carry your memories wherever your travels as I do mine. Wishing the best to you
This is great! I saw one of his stops this past tour, and have seen him in concert since the 90s. He is such a unique talent with amazing skills and fantastic tone that I sometimes wonder how he thinks about and processes playing the guitar. Gotta be an interesting view. I'm Thankful to have been listening and seeing Eric for the last 30+ years!
One of the best instrumental tunes ever, and at the end, thanks his audience in the most humble tone I've ever heard from a musician! Been a fan since Minstrel Gigolo, thank you Eric for all the good music.
Saw you last month at the Harvester. You are the best 54! Luv yahs blessings and keep rocking. Blessings forever for your beautiful inspiring music!! It is so apprciated!!
Brilliant! I have a Multi effects Rp360xp and i always used this preset ",Dover" once my friend said to listen to Johnson.. .and cliffs of dover OMG...i LOVE trademark more
Happy Birthday Eric! After nearly 40 years, I still look forward to everything you do and am so thankful to have discovered your unique talents. Much Love, Peace and Appreciation:)
Saw Eric and this group back in Sept. Not sure who the guy is playing keyboards but he blazes on guitar as well. Amazing show. Hope I can somehow catch him on the G3 tour this coming year.
Eric is as unique as Jimi. The most humble scholar, turned into a master. Pure genius, endless talent, simple and complex at the same time. He will always be my hero.
The best in the world

One of my favorite tunes from Eric. 👍
I still get the same good feelings I got when I first heard you back in the 80s. Iconic tone/feel. Long live Eric Johnson!
1970's for me.
Has left me in awe for 35+ years.
As a guitarist.. listening the Eric is ear candy. That undeniable style.
At 52, Mr. Johnson, along with his peers and influences, has brought me joy and happiness. Eric, thank you for enriching my life. ❤
That song and that man age like a fine wine!
A new Eric Johnson performance video makes every fans day :)
My favorite EJ song. Just perfection - and the most exciting and satisfying solo ever.
His music brings so much joy to all that listen to his mastery of the electric guitar.
The whole band mix was really great.
Awesome Eric!!
That was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen of that song. And Roscoe sounded incredible, also!
Thanks Eric for getting me through the past week. Your music fills my soul. Blessed Be
I love this guy's sound 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Not only is Roscoe technically great. He brings an incredible feel and works intuitively well with Eric. I never tire of this song.
All those organic tones and surgical foot switch timing, labor intensive and so exquisitely done.
Thanks for posting this video. Got to see Eric and Steve Miller at Red Rocks. It was a Great show. They even played a couple songs together.
Ha, I found My ticket stub. The concert was on August 7, 1991. That's Crazy. I'm a old guy, so I've never been on Facebook or anything.
Such a pleasure to watch this video!!!
His tone😏 ❤❤❤❤❤

He and that bassist have some serious chemistry. What a killer duo.
Magnificent...
This stuff just never gets old.
This fellow makes the guitar sing with the voice of Apollo, God of music.
Insane how clean that performance was. Wow. 😯
