She gave Golden Highway the night off. They are headed West. But April 20 @ Hopewell VA Beacon Theater. And MerleFest the next week. I remember the days when she could only half-fill the auditorium at U of Richmond -- No confidence, no personality, no banter with the audience. She's come a long way since 2016. And I guess the good ole days of Molly at The Birchmere are gone forever. Boy, were they fun.
@@HAL9007Lucky you being a long time fan. I only started listening to Bluegrass a few years ago after discovering Billy strings, which led me to discovering Molly. Just bought tickets yesterday to finally see her live for the first time in Austin Texas on Memorial Day weekend. Super pumped!
@@dnett57 Welcome to Bluegrass. Yep, Billy Strings is crazy-good. The youngsters are taking over Bluegrass and transforming it into something totally different and better. (Jazzgrass, Acidgrass, Jamgrass, etc., etc.) I go so smaller venues to discover acts before they make it big. I am fortunate to live in the old epicenter of the 1970s Newgrass Revival -- Washington DC. Some of my "discoveries" over the years -- Emmylou Harris (1974), Seldom Scene (1977), Alison Krauss (mid 1980s), Crooked Still, Elephant Revival, Lucius, Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra, Della Mae. My latest "discovery" is the incredible "Mama's Broke." Best I heard in 40 years. You may want to backfill a little -- recommend Doc Watson, Hot Rize, Tony Rice, and the original Newgrassers -- Seldom Scene. Have fun, enjoy the ride.
@@dnett57 You are in for a treat, I discovered Molly 5 years ago when she opened for I'm With Her and shared the stage with them for the encore. Finally had the pleasure of seeing her live with Golden Highway 3 months ago in Connecticut and without being hyperbolic it may have been the best concert I have ever seen, and I'm a 71 year old life long music lover. She is remarkable and so is her band, can't wait to see them again.
Nothing beat her.
Jesus! She is awesome! 🔥🔥🔥
AWESOME PICKIN' LADY! This is my favorite Molly song. THIS LADY WILL BE A LEGEND IN OUR TIME!
