Forgive my stupid question, I am watching these great video to refresh some old knowledge. Why do you divide by the square root term at 13:46?

I didn't actually show the derivation here. This other video at least explains how to do the derivation, but I still don't do it in detail: ua-cam.com/video/AtErZNK2fzc/v-deo.html. Maybe I can do a video on that when I get a chance.
