I had my Gallbladder removed at 54 and am 60 now and I feel great since then. It made a world of difference. Totally stopped the pain. Before surgery the pain hit me in the middle of the night for two years before I did anything about it. It was laparoscopic surgery and only took 30 minutes and they sent me home after I woke up. Rested for about a week and was so much better. Love watching you and your family.
I have a genetic eye disorder and have had 3 cornea transplants that sadly have failed. Blind in right eye low vision in left. Now told transplant has a cataract growing in the transplant so not good news. But I am so grateful for the research and talented doctors. My only daughter been diagnosed with the same condition so hopefully she will have better luck and research will help her. So happy for you eye sight is such a blessing. Love from Western Australia leisa xx
Hello Jennifer and Chad I've been watching your channel for a while now and I'm so much enjoying it. Oh I laughed when Jennifer was mentioning about all the little ailments! Funnily enough I was thinking of M and Ms. My favourite! The cookies I can smell here in the UK! Thank you so much for sharing xxx
I can relate to your videos as my husband of 54 years had his eyes done first and three years ago he had the hearing aids and several other things but all a part of living a good long life and enjoying it. :-) I hope your eye continues to do well and you will have a whole new outlook on things........LOL Jen you make a great nurse! God bless you both and love going on your journey with you as you walk through the days and months and episodes. The M&M's look yummy and the cookies Delicious. Makes me hungry! ;-) Blessings to you both!
So glad you are doing well, Chad. Jennifer, I would consider thinking about that gallbaldder! Last year, I was in the hospital for five days with my gallbladder. I too had stones and six stones moved from my gallbladder into my liver bile duct resulting in very painful obstruction. This required two procedures, one going down my throat to remove the six stones from the liver bile duct following the next day with the removal of my gall bladder. The stones will not go away on their own so please get more opinions! All the best to you and your family! (love you all and love your cookbook!)
I really appreciate your health updates! We’re the same age and I love hearing true and factual information about the procedures I may need in the future!
Glad all went well for you Chad. My husband had both his cataracts out. Hope you are back to normal real soon! You have the sweetest caregiver! Just love Jennifer! You both are a great example of a husband and wife team! God Bless 🙏
my mom just had hers done she is recovering very well just needs to protect from the sun sending a prayer and happy thoughts love your videos through everything you smile and handle things with grace sometimes humour, prayer gets us through the storm
My husband had both of his eyes done... one at a time. Best thing he ever did. Sending hugs and kindness💕👍🏼🙏🏼PS make sure he does the regular drops for his eyes and not the generic drops.
Glad you’re doing good Chad! It would be a bit unnerving to have eye surgery....that’s one thing I have not yet had done....and I’m certain it’s only a matter of time!! Im not afraid to have surgery, but the thought of cutting on my eyes freaks me out!! As they say, getting old is not for the faint of heart! You are very blessed to have such a wonderful nurse to take care you, and to grow old with! God bless you both ♥️
Aww... You guys are so precious 😘💕!! Our son had cataract surgery in both eyes and he was only 15 or 16. Had to be from his development. Well, anyway, I had gallbladder surgery Jennifer!!! I felt sick for a year and getting all kinds of tests done. I even got sick while on a family vacation, throwing up, back and shoulders where hurting to the point I could not lay down!! My husband took me to the ER and they did a CT scan and found only an ulcer! Did not believe it!!! Finally I had a HIDA scan which resulted in proof for the surgery! Once I had the surgery they found multiple stones!!! So good luck!! Trust your instinct!
Grandpa wishing you a speedy recovery. Grandma, gallstone surgery is easy to recover from these days compared to a weeks stay in hospital years ago when I had my surgery. Thanks for sharing.
So glad that Chad is doing well. Jennifer, I had my gallbladder removed 12 years ago at 28 and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. The surgery is not bad at all and I instantly felt better. Gallstones generally don’t go away.
Ahhh bless Chad ....he will be so different after the surgery. When I was 33 I had my left eye straightened which also gave me my confidence back as I was told by one awful person one day "who are you looking at?" Called me boss eyed...was so upsetting...but now and since I can look straight at people without feeling silly.....not a nice feeling..... looking good now Chad and your lovely Jennifer I know will look after you well...you two are just so lovely bless you. Feel better soon dear Chad...God bless xxxx
Glad Chad is recovering nicely from cataract surgery - both of our mothers had that done about a decade ago, and I will face it in about 7-10 years myself. And Jennifer, please don't wait too long for the gallbladder. Gallstones do not go away, but they can wreak havoc on your bile duct, liver and kidneys. My mother was in her mid-50s, she waited too long and ended up in ICU for over two weeks with a damaged bile duct, jaundice, and kidney failure on the right. I will keep you both in my prayers! PS. Glad the smell in the house is dissipating.
I had cataract surgeries in both eyes 8 years ago ... everything went well, praise God!~ I, too, received 20/20 vision ... isn't it amazing what the surgeons with God's help can do? so pleased for you, Chad :)
Mr.Griffiths, you´ll thank the Lord for your new sight. I had this surgery and couldn´t believe what I saw more than I did. It´s a revelation of colors and textures. Good luck!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Grandpa Griffiths and hope your bladder stones sort them selves out soon Grandma Griffiths. When my Grandmother had hers done back in the 80s it was a weeks stay in hospital - amazing how medicine has come on. My husband had the same eye operation at the beginning of December and had to wear an eye guard for a couple of days and one at night for 2 weeks. It took a while but after about a month he was seeing perfect and like you say no more glasses which is awesome. Sending big hugs to you both
Y'all are the cutest, sweetest couple! Best wishes Chad for a speedy recovery. You have a great caretaker 😊 That looked like a "share package" of M&M's. I share them with myself all the time 😊
I had one eye done in November swiftly followed by the other in December. My eyes had got so bad I couldn't drive for months before surgery. I live in the UK and we are not put out for the surgery, I was awake thoughout, weird sensation but totally pain free. Make sure you don't do any bending or lifting for at least 3 weeks. The only downside to having crystal clear eyesight is I quickly realised how dirty my house was, not anymore now. Go careful with your recovery, wishing you both well.
Praying for a speedy recovery for you. My dad had it done he was given like sunglasses to wear for a few weeks after surgery, his eye sight is so good he only wears glasses for reading....... Hey you share those m&ms so funny. Love the relationship you have.
You will be so happy you did this. You will feel like you got a set of new eyes. And there’s no pain! You are lucky, I had to wear a patch till the next day. Both eyes were done 2 weeks apart.
My first thought after my first cataract was that someone had come through my house and took down all the curtains. It was so bright.....wonderful. I hope everything goes well. Speedy recovery...🙂
Glad Chad is recovering well. Word about the gallbladder issues. I was having attacks and tried herbs and everything to put off the surgery, hoping it would get better. I’m a nurse and worked in natural medicine at the time. I wish I wouldn’t have waited, and just have had surgery when I had that first attack. My gallbladder got so inflamed it ruptured! It was a mush more complicated surgery, and recovery. Then, about a month after my recovery I came to know a patient who’s father did the same as me, waited, and his ruptured, too. He didn’t fair as well, and he passed away from sepsis! Not being a Debbie downer here, but now I warn anyone who’s “waiting and seeing” like I did. It can end up becoming very serious very fast. Be in good health, Jennifer. God bless you guys.
I’m so glad Mr. Griffith is getting all these things done and of his list. 👍🏻 My husband has been complaining of cataracts for a few years but he is told that they aren’t bad enough for surgery. He dreams of the day that he can have this procedure done. Big hugs to you both. 🥰
Chad appears to be doing real well following his cataract surgery and certainly has a good 'home nurse' to take care of him and perhaps even pamper him a little! God protect and bless you both. Take one day at a time.

I've had cataract surgery. You are going to be surprised how good you can see! Bless you both!

I’m surprised they didn’t put an eye cover on your eye! Chad you will be so happy you did this!
Your home is so beautiful!

Best of health and prayers and love for complete recovery

You explained the surgery very well. I worked for an ophthalmologist for 23 years, and this is a great description of the procedure.
So glad all went well. You are such a lovely couple lot’s of love to you from London 💕💕
Lucky Chad having Jennifer taking care of you..
Best wishes for next surgery guys 💕

Goodmorning Jennifer, and Chad, I’m a bit late in watching. But I’m wishing you the best wishes. Y’all take care! 🌹
Gallbladder being taken out was the best thing I did. No choice had 3 huge stones. Glad your eye surgery is healing well.
I’m so glad Mr. Griffith is getting all these things done and of his list. 👍🏻 My husband has been complaining of cataracts for a few years but he is told that they aren’t bad enough for surgery. He dreams of the day that he can have this procedure done. Big hugs to you both. 🥰
