- Tennessee and Mississippi State played the second game of their 3 game series in the 2022 College Baseball Season.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

MSST should've made a pitching change after their starter gave up those 2 2 out hits. Yes, he was pitching well but he had already threw 112 pitches.

Dude it’s a tough call. He was pitching great and our bullpen has blown the last 10 or so games for us. I like the call but hindsight is 20/20
Man, getting Chase Burns for 6+ innings only for him to be relieved by Blade Tidwell just doesn’t seem fair. Good game from Miss State tonight
And that's not to mention we also have Dollander and a dude who can step in and throw 100+ mph at any given time lol its insane how stacked this team is.

Big respect to Mississippi state. Not easy to get back up after a game like yesterdays. Their pitcher did well, although he did like to run his mouth a lot. Loved it when Gilbert smacked the 2 run homer to take the lead and jawed back at him

I don’t get why this MS St team performed so poorly this year. Tanner, Clark, and Cumbest were knocking the ball around every time I watched them
State pitcher pitched well but he got what he was asking for. TN came out sluggish bc the game didn’t matter to them. That is until the pitcher started talking trash. Prolly wasn’t a good idea after the way game 1 went. Should have just kept quiet and it might have made a difference.
The other shoe always falls. Just like it did for Tennessee against Notre dame.

Tennessee has rights to it east of the Mississippi River. Texas has it to the west. We’ve worn that logo for years. Look up early 2000’s uniforms

If I'm coaching there is no way I would allow my players to jump up in celebration when coming to the dugout. I've seen to many stupid accidents with knee injuries!

This Tennessee team doesn't hit breaking balls well and they need to start putting balls in play instead of trying to free swinging to hir the long ball over the fence.
The game winning home run was on a slider. They're the number 1 team in the nation and top 10 in every major offensive category, I think they are comfortable with their approach at the plate.

@@trentoncruise43 they have hit better over the past 3 games against Mississippi state. But up at Kentucky they were hitting sky high pop ups into deep outfield trying to hit the long ball instead of just putting the ball in play. One game they had about 12 plus lob's. After the game coach bitello in the post game interview said that they didn't take advantage of several situations at the plate. The thing I have noticed is that this years team leaves too many players stranded on bases. When playing against tougher competition in the CWS it get's much harder to win when you have over 8 to 10 LOB's in games.
You also cannot on a full count situation stand like a stature in the batters box watching a ball being thrown on the outside or inside corner go by you as a hitter. You have to protect the plate and attempt to put the bat on
The ball. My old high school coaches back in the early 1980's would have run us extra hard at the next practice if we had struck out watching a full count pitch go by without atleast attempting to hit the pitch.
This Johnson guy has the worst attitude I've seen from an opposing pitcher all season long.

How? Because he pitched with energy and enthusiasm? If you watched the game the ump made some very questionable timeout calls that basically killed his momentum, and he still came out and got 10Ks. He’s also the strikeout leader in the nation so he’s just very vocal
