Jeep Compass Acceleration 0-60 and 0-100 test

Jeeps brand new 2014 Jeep Compass 2,4 4x4 Automatik Limited - in test drive on the track with fast acceleration 0-60 / 0-100 and drive near top speed. For model year 2014 Jeep has refreshed the Compass. In the test we have the 170 hp gasoline engine with cvt automatic transmission.

Our friend has a Compass, with same motor and the Hyundai-sourced automatic 6-speed ... BIG difference, compared to this.
Compasses handle fantastic ... And the new ones are even better!

it has a cvt transmission, it step less. Instead of revving up, shift, rev up again, shift, it just keeps going and "shifts" as it goes. Instead of gears, it slides up a cone looking thing which allows the engine to run a max power for better acceleration, also for super smooth normal driving. You never feel it shift because it's step less shifting, if you look up cvt transmission on youtube it explains it much better.

+Brad Key I own a compass 2.4 litre 4x4. I normally use the auto stick mode cause I hate the sound as well plus in auto stick you can speed up much quicker

+Kody Price Actually your vehicle will be slower if you use the shifting mode. In the normal mode it will always have the engine powering the wheels. In the shifting mode it'll cut out during the "shift" to simulate an automatic/manual.
it also doesn't add engine power lol

It's a CVT (continuously variable transmission). Of course it's gonna act like that.

Stanley Jackson it’s a sealed transmission there’s a drain plug and fill plug, you have to remove the whole air assembly to access the transmission on that
