I’m half japanese and although my speaking and writing are bad, I kinda know how to read the kana and kanji; but these tests are fun to do nonetheless hahah
It’s so amazing how he speaks slowly to make sure we understand each sound, he clearly puts a lot of effort in his channel. But it’s so sad that he doesn’t get nearly the amount of views in his videos he deserves for all the hard work he does…

Just got this series recommended to me and I'm very grateful.
I can't believe I just got 3 wrong reading.
Well, 50% I get the meaning right. And only get 10% for the intonation (up-down sounds).
I made this for Hiragana reading practice but it'd be great if you can learn the meanings of the words and pitch accent too.😄

Yes! It's a plus point of this video. Cause a real Japanese read the words and I can add my vocabulary & pronunciation. I even write them on my notes.
It's kinda hard, but it's a good practice. I admit I still can't read fast enough, but at least I manage to get around 70% correct. Thank you Sensei, this is a good practice for reading.

I really appreciate these tests. It shows that I need to practice more to understand it quickly (I am pretty terrible at languages so I've been studying Hiragana for two weeks now)

I started to learn japanese some weeks ago and of course I'm still learning and making mistakes but i love to see the progress i've made in these weeks... Thanx for this video. The ya, yu, and yo blends kept tripping me up cause I just realized you're not supposed to pronounce the y sound in the s and chi columns. Also the u sound I need to pronounce as well as remember the H column dakutens better. I'm 50/50 so far.

I always forgot hiragana & katakana letters, so I studied by reading Japanese news articles every day. This video made me realise that my reading has gotten clearer and faster. Suddenly learning Japanese isn’t so frustrating anymore 😂

i didn’t focus on the reading when self learning so my listening is way better. i am struggling in this test so much that i just spaced off at 2 mins. i better start studying. i didn’t recognise half of what i was reading until he said the answer🙃
I already pretty much memorized all hiragana and katakana, but these videos are a great way for me to get faster at reading them. I got them all right in time!

the ones with 5 or more made me realize why is much easier to learn the kanji for those, I can read them but it takes longer .

Skipped the other videos and straight up went to this one, got about 80% right, but i already know how to read all the kana and combinations and all of that, I'm just a slow reader
