At 29:50 Khansaheb says he will play something from Purab, it sounds like the famous tisra jati rela attributed to Ustad Amir Hussain Khan of Farrukhabad. Can anyone confirm? It is the same rela that Pandit Nayan Ghosh and Ishaan Ghosh have popularized in their performances
@Nihal Hakim, no I don’t think this is that tisra jati rela that you are referring to. To me it sounds like he’s playing the rela DHA TIRKIT TAK DHIR DHIR KITTAK DHA TIRKIT TAK TUNA KITTAK. This is a very common and traditional rela.
Kuch badtameezon ne ise dislike bhi kiya hai, jab kuch samajh aata hi nahin to sunne kyun aa jate ho. Wohi suno jo samajh mein aye.
