The hourglass one seems to be wrong😕
First we let the 7 minutes be over then we turn the big hourglass again with the sand of 7 minutes which passed then when all the sand falls down then it will be 7 monutes again. So 7+7= 14 .....not 15??😓
It is wrong .. you turn them both over and when the 7 minute one runs through you put the eggs in.
The 11 minute one has 4 minutes left so you let it run through and then turn it over again .. 4 + 11 = 15
For 3:29 you could just draw a line through the equal sign to make an NOT EQUAL TO sign
Edit: same with 3:57
Editx2: no one pointed this out anyway but I noticed someone had a similar comment to mine written a year ago, I promise I thought of this myself
Lol I thought that too

WHY IS SO HARD?MY BRAIN IS LIKE A BOMB THINKING THE ANSWER.BUT I LEARN A LOT.
I made the one at 1:40 way more complicated than it needed to. I did the square root of (7-3)!(7-3)!, which would be the square root of 4! times 4! which would be 24.
But it has 2 sets of numbers
(7-3)! (7-3)! is 576
Mark Joshua Hernandez yes, that’s why I said “the *square root* of (7-3)!(7-3)!” which would be the square root of 576 which would be 24
mine was 7+3^0+7+3^2
Actually, you would get +/-24 b/c of sqrt rule.

I don't agree with the hour glass answer, but I did solve it a different way.
First of all....If 7 min of sand passed through the 11 minute hour glass and you flip it over, you're just going to get another 7 minutes. That comes out to 14 min, not 15.
My answer (IF you can quickly reset these things, it will work. Idk if you can quickly reset them or not. Never messed with one. But, here goes):
Start both timers at the same time. Don't start boiling the egg yet. Wait for the 7 min one to expire.
Once the 7 min one expires, start boiling the egg, leaving the 11 min one running. You will have 4 min left on the 11 min timer; I.e. 4 minutes of boiling time.
Once the 11 min one expires, quickly reset it (if you can, IDK!) and restart it.
After it expires, that will be 15 min.
It is very very very super👍👨❤️💋👨👏👏👏👏👏👏
5:02 we can make a pyramid with triangular base so 3 triangles will stand up and base is 4
THE FOURTH RIDDLE CAN ACTUALLY HAVE TOTAL SOLUTION WHICH IS
((7-3!)+7)*3
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Nice job using factorials.
U have a 5L cup and a 3L cup. Make 4L.
Me: Pours 4L of water into the 5L cup.
5:02 First turn both hourglass together when the smaller one get emptied(7mins). Then bigger one have 4 mins left quickly again turn the smaller hourglass so that when big one get emptied(4mins) the smaller one have 3 min left turn it again as its opposite side have 4 mins(total 7 mins. 3 mins one 1 side 2nd side 4 mins 7-3=4)(4mins)
So when the smaller one get emptied we have 7+4+4=15. I jope it helped.
That works too. Here'e the most efficient answer. You have to START the egg boiling when the 7-minute glass is done, because that means there are only 4-minutes left in the 11-minute glass. When the 4 minutes are done, then you flipp the 11-minute glass over. So 4 minutes left + 11 new minutes = 15 total minutes. You only need to flip the 11-minute glass once, instead of flipping the 7-minute glass twice.

i love how you think that knowing when twitter and facebook was founded is considered math.
8:04 just fill each to their halfway point. 2 1/2 + 1 1/2 = 4
Exactly my solution xD
In 3:10,it says add one line to make it fine....so i placed a \ line on = so it becomes unequal. Am i right?

@1:46 -- rotating and turning it upside down is changing it.
2:06 -- the alligator; it's the only aquatic animal in the bunch.
3:07 -- diagnol line through the =, making it "not equals"
3:39 -- same
4:05 -- the "hour" glass explanation is wrong. If you do it that way you will only boil the egg for 4 + 7 =11 minutes. What you need to do is turn over both glasses, and start the egg when the 7-minute glass runs out. When the 11-minute glass finishes, that's 4 minutes; then turn the 11 minute glass over again -- when it runs out that will be 4+11 = 15 minutes.
5:05 -- that's only one triangle and the number 4. -- It can be done, though.
5:47 -- no riddle there; simply move any crayon
Some of these (Declaration of Independence; King Richard; Twitter; etc.) aren't math puzzles.
And why would knowing when a particular company was fonded be a "riddle"?
It's just a trivia question.
12:08 -- this one makes no sense, if you know what "equals" means
Feh. Could ba a lot better.
Another way for 3L and 5L question
1.fill the 3L and put it in 5L
2.again fill 3L and fill it in 5L(u have 1L in 3L jar)
3.now 5L jar is full,,, spill it and pour the 1L which was in 3L jar into that empty 5L jar
4.again fill the 3L jar and pour it in 5L jar
5. U got 4L in 5L jar
3:04 you just skipped the answer
i swear to God this was too easy!
Hourglass solution is wrong. You measured out 14 minutes. The answer is to run both glasses until the 7 is empty. There are now 4 minutes left in the 11. Start cooking now. When the 11 has run out the last 4 minutes, turn it over for 11 more. 4 +11 = 15.
Very nice math questions very nice
The hourglass riddle has the wrong solution, what you did was measure 14 minutes.
No
Yeah, I can't stand these kind of puzzles cuz so many have such an abstract solution that they are nearly impossible to figure out with the MANY math operators you could use. Makes it even worse when the person posting puts up the wrong answer.
7mhg = 7 minute hour glass
11mhg = 11 minute hour glass
Actual answer to hourglass : Flip both, when 7mhg is finished flip it over while letting 11mhg continue dropping the 4 minutes worth of sand left in it, when 11mhg is finished 7mhg should have dropped 4 minutes worth of sand back into original end while you are currently at 11 minutes, flip 7mhg over to drop the 4 minutes worth of sand into other end. When it is finished you have reached 15 minutes.
2 X 11 - 7 = 15
Turn over both hourglasses at the same time
When the 7-minute hourglass is done, drop your egg in
When the 11-minute hourglass is done, turn it over
When the 11-minute hourglass is done again, your egg has boiled for 15 minutes.
HOWEVER, a normal egg is already nuked after about 10 minutes.
@@seansantiagox thanks a lot, i was this close to thinking i was dumb lol
that's what i thought,he just measured 7 minutes twice...i think the answer is to start both at the same time...when the 7 is complete, turn it over...when the 11 is complete, turrn over the 7,and when the sand runs out, that is 15 minutes
Yes I got the first one right 70
but I new you got a wrong thought right? same than i got haha

That's amazing
the egg timer is wrong 11min and 7 min egg timers start when the 7 min runs out start the egg when the 11 min finishes which is 4 mins flip it when its done 11 mins the egg has spent 15 mins. the videos solution has you flip the 11 min timer back over after 7 mins which means 7 + 7 = 14 mins
If it's only for 14 mins then just use 7 mins timer twice
But the question is 15 mins
1:20 can also be √7*3*√7+3=24 =>7*3+3=24
Or: (7-3!+7)*3=24
3:27 or you can just cross the equal sign
Or change it into a less than or equal to sign (
@ 05:15 you said "make 4 triangles" TRIANGLES" is plural BUTT you only made ONE. So much for YOUR Math.
*Having a mental breakdown*
your solution of the hourglass is wrong.
1. start 11min hourglass and 7min hourglass
2. turn 7 min hourglass after sand ends in 7min hourglass
3. when 11min hourglass ends then turn 7min glass again

When dividing by a fraction, it must be multiplied by an inverted fraction? This is false. You can just do the division and skip the multiplication. 3:27, that is not a line, it is a line segment. Same issue at 4:00. 4:17, 7 minutes + 7 minutes is 14 minutes, not 15 minutes. This test is ABSOLUTE JUNK!
Dude you can multiply just do reciprocal
They meant to say turn the 11 min hourglass over, not the 7. 4 + 11=15.
@@Hritviz7 Of course you can multiply, but you don't have to is my point. You can divide by a fraction. The easiest example to illustrate this is 1 / (1/2). You can easily see by inspection that there is a 2:1 ratio of the numerator to the denominator. Similarly, it should be obvious that 2 / (1/3) is a 6 to 1 ratio. No multiplication going on here. I am using ratios by visual inspection.

4:45 should say "DON'T turn over the big hourglass. Only turn over the smaller one. When the big one runs out (after 4 minutes), turn over the small one. When it finishes it will have been 15 minutes."
I was scratching my head with the suggestion of flipping over the 11-minute timer at the 7 minute mark, which would mean it would finish after 7 more minites had gone by. I kept coming up with 14 minutes. Then I realized the mistake (as stated above).
You are wrong in that case it will be 18min
@@wolframalpha8634 No it won't. If you turn the small one over as soon as it finishes once, then wait until the big one finishes, four minutes worth of sand will be at the bottom of the small timer. So as soon as the big timer finishes, you flip the small timer BACK over. Once those four-minutes worth of sand have passed through, exactly 15 minutes will have transpired.
(7+4+4=15)
😁
@@sw386 if the 11min timer and 7min timer start together as soon as the 7min timer gets completed won't 4 min worth of sand be in the 11min timer??when exactly the 7min timer gets completed we need to turn it over again ..now when the 4min worth sand in 11min timer gets over then 3 min worth sand would remain in 7min timer then the total time taken would be (11+3 = 14)
@@wolframalpha8634 Yes, that's why you turn it BACK over as soon as the 11 minite timer is finished. That way, the four minutes of sand thay have collected in the bottom of the small timer can be used to finish adding up to 15 minutes.
Small timer: 7 minutes---flip, 4 minutes (big timer finishes)---flip again, 4 minutes later, small timer runs out.
7+4+4=15
100% agree
It works both ways 👍
Your solution in the hourglass thing is wrong. If you do that, it would only be 14 mins.
Task with sand watches: start both watches at same time. Whenever 7 minutes fill up, turn it around, for anti-clockwise running. 11 minutes will still run, and 7 minutes watch will be 4 minutes in advance the moment 11 minutes watch end up filling to top. When bring 7 minutes watch to starter position once again => to let 4 min. in advance flow back to complete mass. When ever 7 minutes remaining mass will flow back to complete mass we are going to have: 11 + 4 = 15. Seems hard to find solution at first, but if time not ticking, It took me like 2-3 minutes to find the solution. Every person thinks within one's own pace. I do not tolerate ticking tasks because it's bullshit. Not the way people should be examinated most of time. It's not a algorithms for first aid!

6:09 that moment when you watch quirkology and know the answer already
The hourglass puzzle 4:10 solution is wrong. Refer to some books rather than some videos which give you wrong information.
Solution: Let's say the 11 min glass as glass_1 and 7 min glass as glass_2. Now start both the glass together. After 7 mins, glass_2 will be empty and glass_1 (11 - 7 = 4) will contain 4 mins sand. Now throw off the glass_2 and start boiling the eggs. After glass_1 empties(which contained 4mins), turn it over again and keep it until it finishes (4 + 11 = 15 mins). That's how you can boil an egg in 15 mins.

Aww 10 min to 10 keep coming lol
you can watch my maths videos.
Wonderful
according to 7sec riddles 7+7 equals 15! great stuff ...
The solution is wrong.
The real solution is this:
Start both 7 and 11 timers.
After 7 minutes, the 7 minute timer will be empty, and the 11 minute timer will have 4 minutes left.
Turn the 7 minute timer over. Wait until the 11 minute timer is now empty. Therefore, 11 minutes have passed.
In the 4 minutes since the 7 minute timer was flipped, common sense will tell you that 4 minutes of sand fell from the 7 minute timer.
Therefore, if you then flip the 7 minute timer over again, those 4 minutes will get you to the 15 minutes.

then hourglass he start the 11 min hour glass 0:3 to 11:3
then the time ended at 11 more min
lets solve

4:7 - 4:4 = 0:3
0:3 + 11:0 = 11:3
