Merci Monsieur pour cette magnifique balade ! Il faut dire que la beauté architecturale de nos villes en France nous la devons à la noblesse et en particulier à l'Empereur Napoleon III au XIX ème siècle. Merci aussi pour votre musique cool .
Merci beaucoup 🙏🌺
Looks like a great place to live/retire. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching 👍😊
Ahh love Toulon! You've captured so many amazing sights - thanks for sharing :).
Thank you 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Toulon is another jewel in South France. Thank you for showing the notable sights! Especially interesing for me is to see the Bastille Day Fireworks!
In reality, the term Bastille Day is incorrect because the French national holiday of July 14, does not celebrate the capture of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 by the Parisian people but on July 14, 1790 day of the feast of the federation where the people, elected officials and the royal family gathered on the field of Mars (present place of the Eiffel Tower which explains its construction at this site in 1889 for the "universal exhibition celebrating the centenary of the French Revolution) attended a mass in the sky celebrated by Bishop Talleyrand as a sign of national reconciliation. Indeed, the French National Assembly during the Third Republic in 1879, after the Republicans had just won a majority of the seats in parliament resulting in the resignation of the President of the Republic Mac Mahon royalist in favor of the restoration of the Monarchy, decreed as the French national anthem La Marseillaise and the day of July 14, 1790, the day of the feast of the Federation as the day of the French national holiday, because there had been no French deaths, unlike the day of July 14, 1789, when the Bastille was take.A little amusing anecdote, by the way, the Russian Tsar Alexander III, who had come to visit republican France to seal a military alliance with Franch and Russian, went to the bay of Toulon where for the first time a squadron of the Russian navy was anchored and listened to the Marseillaise, which was forbidden in Russia as revolutionary and seditious song. Moreover it is under the notes of Marseilles that Lenin will arrive by train in 1917 in Saint Petersburg after the overthrow of Tsar Nicholas II.
Thank you for watching again. It’s a really nice town and the Bastille Day celebrations were the icing on the cake 👍😊
Looks like a great city to visit and you can't go wrong with French cooking. I also noticed the Amercian Embassy there (McDonalds)
It’s a lovely city and somewhat underrated. Many tourists head to the resort towns while Toulon has so much to offer. Haha, love US embassy burgers 🍔😅
É linda demais! Muito obrigado por compartilhar conosco caro senhor! Abraços do Brasil 🇧🇷💐
Thank you for watching Rose!
Sparks fly for this video, Sir.J ✨️😊
You got a spectacular vantage point of the fireworks during Bastille Day. The boats near the foreground are an interesting detail for celebrating a place with such a long and vibrant naval history.
I also enjoyed the butterfly "banderitas" (I looked for the translation but it seemed off. 😅) and the colorful ship sculpture casually jutting out of a building.
This is another great vid, Sir J. Kudos to all the sights and sounds and thanks for letting us tag along.😊✨️🫰🏻
Thank you Cris, it was a fun evening !
Great rugby city!
I heard about their team 👍
La ville de naissance de mon fils ❤
Beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you 🙏

@@januslog 👍🤗❤️❤️contente que Toulon vous ai plus
Thank you Janus for this enjoyable virtual tour through the very beautiful Toulon 👍The harbour looks very festive with the fireworks during Bastille Day 🎊🎉 Do you travel with train from town to town in southern part of French? Have a blessed day from sunny Indonesia 🌞🌞🌞
Thank you Dina
I traveled by car on this one 👍
Thank you for this video. I’ll be in Hyeres next month. Do you have a similar video for Hyeres and/or La Seyne sur mer?
Thank you, unfortunately I did not record any videos there but you may want to check out my videos on Marseilles, Nice, St Tropez, Aix, Nimes and more
Greetings from Australia mate, a very nice and historical place. Hope to visit soon!
When will you make a visit down under?
Thank you!
Australia is definitely on my travel bucket list. I’ve never been 😊
tips : buy yoursel at least bus Mistral ticket card (10 trips/10€) at the bottom of Rue D'Alger in "Maison des Mobilités". Then go to the harbour. You can enjoy a go and back sailing trip to Saint-Mandrier, Sablettes or La Sayne/mer with thoses blue public transportation boats. Yes, a 2 euros / person boat trip in the beautifill Rade de Toulon ! See French Marine, 3 anciens forts, sailing boats, fish farms, event catch some submarine or French warships...
Thank you for the great tip 👍
I was wondering, can you speak English or need basic French to communicate with the locals there and navigate Toulon restaurants/hotels? Also, did you find it expensive? I have heard it was affordable to live there, but not sure about shorter visits.
You can get by with English, especially in hotels and also in larger restaurants. Basic French does of course help and will get you extra brownie points 😅
The French Riviera is generally expensive but compared to most other towns and cities along the coast, I found the prices in Toulon reasonable.
What's the best for you, toulon or nice? I prefer nice
They are very different. Nice is of course much bigger and has more cultural landmarks. So if I had to choose I’d pick Nice. But I’m glad I also went to Toulon 🌺
hi did u recorded full show fireworks? if yes possbile to upload it?
I did record it. Will have to see if I can upload the whole thing
Selon vous, comment se situe Toulon avec Nice, la Côte d'Azur etc, en termes de plaisir, de plage, de randonnées etc ?
Toulon is quite different from Nice and the other cities and towns in that it’s less touristy. It nicely complements the other cities with its more maritime spirit. Not sure about it’s beaches as I didn’t visit those
@januslog thank you 👍🇬🇧
What's going on at 21:25 lmao
I had not noticed 😂
Friends make sure that friends’ pants stay in place 😂
Vraiment une ville moche ou ua rien a faire
