Good one, friend. I got one for you, too. Vaseline mushed up on a cotton ball. Melt one end of a straw together. Stuff it in there, then menl the other end to seal it. When you need a fire, cut it out of the straw and hit it with a ferro rod. Lights super easy. Doesn't last as long as yours, but it'll get you going. I keep a couple in the pouch of my knife case with a small ferro rod. Good luck with your channel. Aloha!
spoon some Vaseline into a bag, add the same cotton, zip bag up and squish Vaseline through all the pads. Have used that recipe with no heat or mess and works great. You can also cram cotton balls by the hand full and pull out a lump when you need a fire.
