I'm fairly new around here, but man I love the vibe! Not only are you inspiring for your Niece and Nephew but you're also inspiring to a 40 year old mid-western guy who's been playing music his whole life and just needs a different direction to go. Thanks man! Keep up the great work!
Heck yes! Just in time for me. I’d like to make some shoegazey sounds myself. Maybe kick of “Jamuary” with some fuzzy guitar riffs. I’d like to make and post some music every day in January, a riff, a melody, just some idea everyday. Then perhaps a “Finish February” where I hope to finish a few songs based on ideas generated in “Jamuary” daily posts. Figure if I generate 31 ideas this month there’s gotta be something decent there. Anyhow, your creative output is inspiring, carry on, and I wish you a great day 😊.
Like you mentioned, shoegaze can be a pretty broad genre. I like lots of octave reverb/shimmer with distortion and reverse delay plus tremolo arm over slightly dissonant chords when I play. Sometimes an extra hall reverb in front. Provides a nice wall of sound wash. For blackgaze, I like to start with distortion and go to octave reverb down with tight delay.
@ thx mane. Random disclaimer but I promise to make variations in wtv chord prog I write but I jus wanted to say I appreciate the inspo u give in both guitar writing and production ur a real one
