I'm flying JFK-ICN round trip on the 747 in February. I hope the plane doesn't get switched to an A380 since my outbound flight was originally scheduled to be an A380 but got swapped to a 747.
Thank you so much for posting!!! I flew the 747 from Atlanta to Seoul back in September. This brought back so many great memories. You captured everything. Definitely the Queen of the Sky. So sad that they are fazing them out. Glad I got to say I flew in one.
I'm not sure if I ever seen a takeoff to the South before. Oh and just because the trays are big, doesn't mean those meals are generous. I always have to ask for second meal.
Just a fyi you might wanna check your flight details again, they're switching the plane from the 747 to the 777 on the Atlanta flight for the summer schedule, it's still the 747 for the winter schedule. Might or might not affect your flight.
The seat is not large - it has just 17.2" between armrests, the same as in 787, so it's narrow and it quite an endurance when the cabin is full. But the seat model (from Safran) is very good and ergonomical. 747 is just not wide enough for 3-4-3 Y. For comparison, Asiana A380 has 19"(!) seat width between armrests in Y.
Is that your 1st time flying the actual Boeing 747-8 passenger on Korean, if so, how is it, how's both meal, how many hours you sleep on the plane, do you remember how much you pay to fly Korean to JFK, does it include 1 check in luggage and seat selection for free or a fee and how's passport control for entering and visiting New York, did you enjoy your trip?
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Should have flown Korean Air on their Airbus A380 between Seoul and New York, which operates on the second daily flight (KE085), which departs and arrives at night, since you took their Boeing 747's more than their A380's. Still, I enjoyed the video.
@@MillionMilesMarc I think you should plan on taking a flight with Asiana Airlines from Taipei (TPE) to New York (JFK) via Seoul (ICN) on the following flights with Asiana Airlines: OZ 712 (TPE-ICN): Seat 61A - Airbus A380-800 OZ 224 (ICN-JFK): Seat 39A - Airbus A350-900 I'd suggest taking Asiana Airlines from Taipei to New York JFK via Seoul sometime in May, so you can see what both their A380 and A350 actually looks like. As Korean Air will be suspending A380 flights to the United States from March 2025, maybe Asiana Airlines might be the ideal option if you want to try out their Airbus A380. Although you've taken Asiana from Taipei to Seoul in the past, you flew on that route using the Boeing 747-400, so maybe the A380 might give you a different perspective. Also, no flight reviews have been reported regarding OZ224, Asiana's second daily service between Seoul and New York, so maybe reviewing that may benefit viewers. I hope to see these trip reports on your channel in the near future!
Usually, the nighttime flight is an A380 and the daytime flight is a 747 for both directions on ICN-JFK but sometimes it's the opposite or the A380/747 flies both flights on the specific day. I'm flying JFK-ICN round trip later this year and on both of my travel days both flights of the day are operated by the 747, no A380
0:16:04 That is NOT an A380 in bad shape... That's just a mock up designed to train firefighters.. Never was ever ever part of an "older" A380.. Just sayin'
you are so lucky flying on a rare passenger plane like this.beautiful report mate
Thank you!
Ughh I need my passport so I can start traveling on jumbo jets.. I still have the A340, 747 and A380 on my bucket list

Is it true they stopped serving cup soup? If so that's sad
25:05 it's not Sea of Japan.. it's East Sea(Dong Hae)
B747-i8 looks even more beautiful than B747-400... I still can't believe so many airlines simply stopped using this beautiful aircraft...
Hello here from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.. successful year 2025, congratulations on the channel....like 302
Thank you very much! Happy new year to you too
The subtitle that appears where the plane passes is not the Sea of Japan.
This is the East Sea of Korea.
I'm curious about your filming equipment. And how can you shoot such a stable video? Please tell me how.
I use a Gopro and my Google Pixel 9 Pro
@ Thanks respond! Is the reason why you are stable and unshakable because you are holding on tightly?
I haven't watched the entire video yet, but it should be good I know.
I'm glad to hear it

Thank you for your comment but no it's HL7613 Which have been dismenteled and stored here at Incheon airport strangely. You can check online.
hello garuda PK-GPU
leg rest looks too tight
Old 748-8i 10 years now
LoL. 10 years ain't old for a commercial jetliner 🙄.
She still has thousands of hours to clock.
The best airport.
Not a good view seat
But not as bad during turbulence....
