- We found this cute idea on Pinterest. It is an A-Frame Gutter Garden. It is used to save space and maximizing places for your plants. Another advantage is keeping the slugs are off the strawberries.

Thanks for your kind words.
Very nice
Thank you.
Nice idea, I'm looking at doing something similar this year. On asparagus, you'll want to look up some grow guides. It will never produce in this system. The root systems of each plant spread out radially over several square feet. The gutter will not have enough real estate to support the plants long term. They also take a few years to grow large enough to start producing from seed. For strawberries and lettuces and such though, this should be ideal.
Thanks for your thoughts. You are definitely correct about the asparagus. We were using this A-Frame to get things started. We had transplanted most of the Strawberries and Asparagus our of this garden for the winter. The lettuce grew great. Thanks again. :)
Is there any guidance on which plants will tolerate being in such shallow soil?
Lettuce was great in the gutter. It was also great to get seedlings started. If you had something that needed deep soil for roots, you might want to try something else.
It’s an odd question given they are gutters but have yo given any consideration to drainage?
You could put small nail wholes in the gutter to fix the drainage issue.
Interesting any sizes
Sorry not understanding. Are you asking for the dimensions?
MagnoliaStreetGarden Loved this! I’m ready to head to the store and buy the parts right now! I’m new at DIY projects; what do I need for the A frame? Did you just nail it together? I’m concerned about wind knocking it over. Any suggestions? TY 🙏
Can we coco choir insted of mud?
Sounds interesting. What would you plant in there?
@@MagnoliaStreetGarden your project has gave me an idea to go commercial into vertical farming.. Thanks much for your time and video
