All aboard the Sequal Express! Our next stop: Finding Marlin. Let's go! *choo choo*
Once were done with that next stop Finding Hank
What about Gill?
Finding Nemo's final sequel will be Pixar's greatest film. Finding Becky: coming to nowhere near you, or anyone else.
FINDING DARLA
I would watch Finding Marlin, he's the mysterious character without a backstory now that Finding Dory has released.
But I'd be more interested in Finding Destiny. How did she end up in a tank for most of her life?
Now we have an idea for the third one, FINDING HANK. Let's go!!
Jeremy Jahn's review was pretty good. And quite on point judging from the general consensus of that character.
Finding the Tank Gang. What happened to them anyways? Did they die in the bags?
I've got a better one: "Finding Gerald".
They appear after the credits (still in their bags) and are taken in by the Marine Life Institute.
+Evan Ponte nO
I was really surprised that you gave the film a 9/10 considering your experience with Pixar's past 2 sequels.
But honestly, I'm glad that sequelitis didn't affected this film. While similar to the first one at times, Finding Dory stands out with it's execution, bringing the heart and characters we all know and love.
A good return to form from Pixar after the failure of Good Dinosaur at the box office. Hope they can do good with their sequels and... *finds out that Cars 3 is the next Pixar film*
PD: This is definitely Disney's year with Zootopia, Jungle Book, Civil Wars, and Finding Dory.
Don't forget Force Awakens last December.
And we're still getting Moana and Rouge One.
They are killing it this year.
What's wrong with the good dinosaur
+Animation Trainer it was pixar's first box office bomb costing around 350 million for marketing and production costs and the movie fell short of that resulting in Pixar losing money from it.
+Batter oh wow
+Batter probably Star Wars
HEY! WHERE THE FRIDGE IS MY SON!?
o there he is.
Nemo and marlin are useful because they're the thing that reminds dory of family and her goal of finding her parents
I felt kinda bad when I saw the movie because I went fishing the day before.
Fishing is okay but for some like me, you might enjoy the sport more during your childhood
Kenny Coman
What do u mean ethical?
Fishing is one of the most boring sports I've ever played, doesn't even count as a sport?
I'm glad you mention how the movie comments on living with a disability. That's what really made this movie special to me. And the way that Dory's parents dealt with Dory's disability was so touching. I shall now cry every time I hear the word "shells"!
Finding Nemo in two sentences:
"HEY! WHERE'S MY SON? Oh there he is."
Finding Dory in two sentences:
"HEY! WHERE'S MY FAMILY? Oh, there they are."
I read only the middle 2 lines and was like... What?🙃
Me and my mom were huge fans of the original! I so want to see this!
A lot of my friends disliked this movie. I really enjoyed it though. This was actually the first Pixar movie to make me cry. I teared up when Dory finally got to her parents. The expressions and atmosphere there were executed very well.
I agree. Finding Dory got way to much hate over the years. It may be a Spin-off for a Comic Relief character, but what sets Dory apart from other protagonists of the same vain, is how I could actually understand her and her backstory. She honestly wasn't too annoying either.
@@disneyvillainsfan1666 Finding Dory, much to the pleasure of Screen Junkies, was executed much better than it could have been, to be more like Toy Story 2 than Cars 2.
@@disneyvillainsfan1666 I saw Finding Dory with my mom when it was in movie theaters in 2016, and I was proud to see Dory get a much better story of her own than Mater in Cars 2 and Bob, Kevin and Stuart in Minions. The real reason why I am worried about Finding Dory getting too much hate now is because I thought the Ellen scandal would cause everyone who used to like Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, to retroactively begin hating them after Little Ellen was so poorly-received. When I reviewed Finding Dory, I made it a point to mention that it is possible to like Dory (the Finding Nemo character and the sequel title) and still hate Ellen DeGeneres.
Story 10/10
Animation 10/10

One of the best animated films i seen!
Had no idea in Finding Dory until the reviews came out. Strangely enough most of the ones I read didn't talk much about Dory, it was all about Hank the octopus. At this point, I might just see it because of how much of a good reception that character has gotten, that and I really like Ed O'Neal. I come on, Al Bundy is squid form? Why not?
at the end of the credits the tank gang comes back
You mean the guys from the 1st movie? Gill and the other guys?
+Alpha Echo yep
Those cameos are surely better than the ones we'll be getting in the Ghostbusters remake
Yep, still in the plastic bags and everything.
Considering this sequel was made because of Ellen DeGeneres, this movie was actually well made. It goes to show that Pixar can make a good sequel that isn't being made because of merchandise.
What else is great about Finding Dory is that Andrew Stanton got to redeem himself with a really great sequel to his past success at Pixar, and make back all of the money he lost Disney with John Carter (on Mars). I am sure Andrew Stanton and Victoria Strouse know how lucky they are to have Finding Dory premiere between before 2020, because if Finding Dory came out at a worse time when most of us found out that Ellen DeGeneres was not the nice person she appeared to be...then chances are, it would face the same financial troubles and PR issues that The Flash is facing now with Ezra Miller. I have always been a bit worried that Little Ellen would suddenly cause people who used to like Finding Dory, to start disliking it now after knowing how toxic Ellen DeGeneres is and how bad Little Ellen was at preserving her public image.
Well, I'm actually really surprised! Pixar's finally back to making sequels in the reputation of Toy Story 2 & 3. Just like last year when Pixar got their reputation of making amazing movies with Inside Out. I saw Finding Dory at Regal Cinemas last week & I loved it! Pixar's 30th Annivarsary actulally turned out amazing!! And on top of that, 2016 has got 2 Animat's Seals of Approval with Zootopia & Finding Dory! :D ;D
Zootopia is a bit better but Finding Dory does come quite close with its quality. Dory's film gave a special needs character time to be strong throughout an adventure and was a comic relief character film not crap and Zootopia tackled real life themes of bigotry and racism balanced with humour right. Considering how 2016 started out bad with crap like The Fine Bros' ego and dead celebrities like David Bowie not to mention new crap like the US elections, we really needed films like these to cheer us up
I get it now.
I got the idea that Andrew Stanton was working more on "Finding Dory" rather then "The Good Dinosaur".

Easily One Of The Best Animated Sequals I've Ever Seen!
I really enjoyed this movie, but it seemed that they focus 90% of the story on Dory and 10% everyone else. Where as the original was 45% Marlin/dory, 45% Nemo/other fish in the fish tank, and 15% everyone else. Now like you said Dory is an enjoyable character to watch especially in this film. Though it would've been nice to focus a bit more on Marlin and Hank in this movie, and have marlin contribute more to the story and develop more as a character. then to go into hank's backstory a bit. Again this is a great movie to watch and Dory is a very interesting/enjoyable character to watch.
I mean, its called Finding DORY. From that alone it should be obvious who the main character would be. That would be like making Little Red Riding Hood but she's not the main focus.
45%, 45% and 15% add up to 105%. Can you not do math? I think you meant to say 10% everyone else.
It was a nice movie, especially the animation. Beautiful.
The sea lions were hilarious. Everyone in the theater room I was in was laughing when they appeared.
The cinematography for this film is mindblowing! This and Piper has that great animal's perspective thing that makes it so interesting to watch.
my thoughts on Nemo and Marlin are exactly like yours. They are still likeable and do have a purpose in the film, but the way they're portrayed in the 2nd and 3rd act makes it feel like they don't have a purpose or a big role.
I still love this movie and agree with this review. Does fall short of the original, but still is a great film and a PRIME example that Pixar can make good sequels.
Lets see what their next movie is...
*Cars 3*
sign....I'll give it a chance as a Pixar fan, and hope it's better then Cars 2, but I still have my doubts about it honestly!
Alex Ramirez I've heard about that. Gives me hope, though I did found the 1st one meh, despite that Doc is likeable and some touching moments. Still have doubts, but will give it a chance.
I'll have to see as well. I honestly didn't hate Cars 2 as much as other people (Brave is so so so much worse), so hopefully they'll do Cars justice.
Cars 2 was pretty good
RanserSSF4 they might be creating it to redeem the cars franchise
Or they might just be making it to make a quick buck (who knows?)
When it comes out I'll watch animat's review of cars 3 (if he makes one) maybe I'll watch cars 3 if I get a chance (even if it's bad lol becuz I'm curious and I'm also going to watch the emoji movie just out of curiosity and this comment is getting way too long :p)
Characters should be 10/10 for Gerald alone
Your description is awesome xDDDDD

HEY, WHERE DA FRIGE IS MY SON
Did anyone else squeal with joy when Dory says Marlin's name. She NEVER once said it in the original film despite spending days with Marlin, yet she was able remember Nemo's and Hank's name the same day she met them.
Also the climax... That was AMAZING! It's just so hilarious and awesome that I just can't say it because people should see that for themselves!
9:38 - 9:40 = I couldn't possibly agree more.
This is the best pixar sequel since toy story 3
I know that i'm too late, but here is my list of the best Pixar sequels in MY opinion:
5. Finding Dory
4. Cars 3
3. Toy Story 2
2. Toy Story 4
1. Toy Story 3
And here the worst Pixar sequels
3. Monsters University ( i know it is a sequel but ay least is another part of the frenchise)
2. The Incridibles 2
1. Cars 2
"First" "I'm early" "First Comment" Good. NOBODY F*CKING CARES. That aside, I'll still be looking forward to watching this movie.
It's great.
Jake Cobovic The movie?
hey you're early :p
Josh Wilkins So?
Big J the Gamer just another thing that EVERYONE has to comment that no one cares about. "Hey I'm early. I guess I'll make a joke..." or "Last time I was this early..."
I think the "finding" part in Finding Dory is more philosophical. Think about it.
this is one of my 4th favorite films from Pixar but finding nemo is one of my favorite Pixar films of all time
In the theater, my friend and I made dory jokes by forgetting scenes that we know
I saw this movie yesterday and I couldn't stop crying
I'm guessing for your top 5 best and worst so far is
Worst
#2 Ratchet and Clank
#1 Norm of the North
Best
#3 Kung Fu Panda 3
#2 Finding Dory
#1 Zootopia
Anomalisa?
That's from 2015.
+Rob Bob
Well he didn't count it for his list for 2015.

Great review on Finding Dory! I really love this sequel! Very good as its predecessor! :)
just saw it.
For me:
Story: 10/10
Animation: 10/10
Characters: 10/10
Overall: 10/10
Good
What? There are no flaws? Great for you!
hey remember what Pixar did with the comic relief mater with cars? results: BAD reason: cars is only really loved by little kids, NOT people who take Pixar (or the animation industry) seriously (like me) and mater = protagonist is the worst nightmare imaginable.
the same thing but with finding dory and well dory: results: even if its a sequel, its one of the best Pixar films!!! reason: finding Nemo is a franchise WAY more stable and beloved then (rolls eyes) cars.
The Tank Gang also had a brief cameo in a post-credits scene

I liked this one, I didn't expect it to be good, but pixar does it again, now we wait for phenomenal movies like the bfg, Pete's Dragon, mowana or something like that, and other animated films like secret life of pets, Sing, and the trolls (which will fail horribly)
My thoughts on the following films you listed:
1. Pete's Dragon: Even after seeing the new trailer revealing the dragon's look, its not winning me over. The original is fine and charming, this one looks like it wants to be a big dark adventure but that works for Jungle Book better
2. Trolls: Another Dreamworks film and their first teaser is set to Silento's Watch Me, already uninterested but we got a good Timberlake song out of it
3. Moana: Let's see how Zootopia co-director Jared Bush does without the aid of other directors
4. Sing: This looks like a cheap excuse to have bad covers like Fox's liveaction Chipmunk films but hey, Illumination has to rely on something that isn't Minions.
5. The Secret Life Of Pets: Hi again Illumination and you're now making a film about what pets do when they're home alone? You guys trying to be Toy Story now? Well I guess they want to avoid the label of One Hit Wonder
It doesnt matter how good the movie is , the review frommat is always better.
What do you mean?
Batter That i enjoy watching mats review much more than actually watching the movie.
+SlagLPs wow,ok
What about that bird Becky she was funny
Hilarious how the add before this video is the emoji movie trailer

Eh! Where de fridge is my son! Oh, there he is.
I loved when I went to the theatre and there were 80 adults and maybe 5 kids.
Why is hank's mouth infront his front arms? And where's his beak?!?!
I loved the visuals in this movie. The lighting in this movie looks amazing.
I loved this film a lot more than Finding Nemo. I was pleasantly surprised at how this film was crafted. I was really impressed overall.
Not needed dude.
I'm going on an animat review marathon where I'm going to look and observe the things animat say that have a major influence on the story, like how likable and memorable and relatable the characters are, etc.
This sequel might be just as good as Finding Nemo

Hayden Rolence replaces Alexander Gould as the voice of Nemo, due to Gould having outgrown his original role since Finding Nemo (2003), though Gould does have a cameo as Passenger Carl. Bennett Dammann replaced Nicholas Bird as the voice of Squirt for a similar reason.
Most of the animals in this movie have a handicap or disability: Hank has a missing tentacle. Dory has short term memory loss. Nemo has a small fin. Destiny the whale shark has nearsighted blindness. Becky the loon is a slight bit slow mentally. Bailey the beluga had a head injury it is believed to be the first Disney or Pixar film to feature a character with a disability.
Pixar's first PG rated film to not contain death.
In addition to being a great successor to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory also marks the 30th anniversary of Pixar Animation Studios! ;-) ;-) ;-)
I loved the first film,so I am dying to see this the end of this month.
What is reduced from the first movie is well made up for in its strengths.
This film is what Cars 2 should have been!
Hopefully Cars 3 picks up the slack.
Apparently Mater is now a secondary character again. This is good news for all.
Luckily cars 3 was an improvement over cars 2,and because I don't like the cars movies in general I actually consider it the best of the series.

If you haven't seen Finding Nemo, you're an alien.
Bro who hasn't seen finding Nemo at this point? It's one of those animated films that everyone should've seen by now like Shrek and toy story.
can you do a review of ice age 5 know is a bad bad ice age film
note:if its a pixar seaquel the better the predeseser the better the seaquel
the best animation this year
what is the music used before the credits, when the 'Animat Seal of Approval' is given and we see the final score?
I thought Finding Dory is as equally good as its predecessor. Dory felt more like a strong well fleshed out supporting character who became the main character. Also, I thought Marlin and Nemo had great roles in this film too. Nemo felt like the mature one being able to help his father better understand dealing with people that may not be up to snuff to him.
Also, was I the only one who cried at the scene where Dory finds her parents?
I do think the film is pretty good although I personally prefer the first one
@@Treeeee2008 You know, Its been 4 years since I watched Finding Dory and probably longer since I watched Finding Nemo (but I watched is so many times s a kid remember its story well) It might be high time I watch both again and compare them.
I didn't like Finding Nemo when I first watched it. It's mainly because I was like 4 years old and it scared the hell out of me. I can respect it and enjoy it more now as an adult, especially how it managed to get a G rating from the MMPA (which really shows how much they've changed over time).
Who's changed? Pixar, or the MPAA?
+BrandaBob The MMPA
There isn't anything scary about Finding Nemo. The reason it's rated as a family film is because it is a family film and you are just a wimp. Nothing to be surprised about.
Michael Smith I know I'm a wimp, but there's no reason to be rude. Not every child is going to have the same view on everything they see. :/
Leopold Litchenstein I meant my message to be tongue in cheek but I'm afraid I was a jerk! If it makes it any better when I was a kid I was always a fan of the Lion King but it took until adulthood to cry everything Mufasa dies
Bailey is one of the greatest Pixar characters to date
Honestly I would put it on an equal plane to the first one
I miss the genuine sense of adventure and danger from The original
I'm willing to see this with my Mum as her favourite animated film is Finding Nemo.
Hey hate on the seals all you want, but they had one of the funniest scenes in the movie

Disney's on a roll this year.
I've got to be honest, guys, I liked Finding Dory a little bit better than Finding Nemo!
You fine to do that. Why did you tell us?
+KidSnivy69 Because this is a comment section? People comment about the video? Then again, there are many people who don't.
BLASPHEMY!!!!!
I preferred it over Finding Nemo way more!!
I liked nemo a little more and I think it's because it was more like a psychological thriller if you think about it. Dory took place in an aquarium so the stakes were lower
Hmmm...I expect that this movie was going to bomb for the same reasons like Cars 2. But, boy am I surprised. Maybe I can consider giving a watch.
If you stay after the credits the tank gang will appear.

I think animat should do a classic review of finding nemo.
I have to be honest. I was very excited to see this sequel, I mean, a Finding Nemo sequel!!
But, when I saw it, it wasn't the big thing. Yeah, the enviroment for characters and blah blah, but with all that I just felt they sold me nostalgia and that's all. I personally love Hank's personality, but that's all I remember.
Nemo was an annoying and unnecessary character, Marlin was okay, Dory was the principal so she was okay. I'm not very sure if Im the bored one, dunno. But without all the hype for this sequel, is just an okay film, not 10/10, Pixar can make better stories.
And Dory's parents have no purpose so it was better to let them die or something.
I gave to the movie a 7/10. Not the best movie but is okay to spend your time
Bloody Cowboy
Me: welp... I'm the only one who didn't enjoy this very much... Is there something wrong with me?!

My only major flaw with this movie: Although the Marine Life Institute was a fantastic location for the movie to be set, Why did it have to be California?! I'm not trying to offend anyone who lives in California (I myself would love to go there one day). It's just that one reason Finding Nemo has a special place in my heart is because it was set in my home country Oz. I was hoping the Finding Nemo franchise would be for Australia what Kung Fu Panda is for China and what Rio is for Brazil (well it still kind of is but only really with the first movie). I only wish the Marine Life Institute could have been located somewhere in Melbourne or the Gold Coast or Tasmania. It would also make more sense because the previously mentioned are far closer to the great barrier reef than Morrow Bay California. Travelling all the way up there via one single current is kind of a stretch, even for a movie with talking fish. Aside from that one little nitpick I loved this movie almost as much as the original. One of the best animated sequels in my opinion. The 13 year wait was more than worth it.
I need this movie in my life.
Wow. I can't believe 2016 had FOUR films that got your seal of approval. I would say 2016 is one of the best years for animation, but it also had several bad films like Norm of the North, The Wild Life, and Ice Age: Collision Course. I have not seen any of those three, but maybe it's better off that way lol. 2016 was all over the place, but when it got it right it REALLY got it right.
Not to mention, films that didn’t get the seal of garbage, but REALLY should have. Like Sausage Party and Trolls.

The Incredibles 2 will be the most anticipated animated film of all time.
It's going to be a disappointment. The Imcredibles 2 is going to be a shitty movie.
I Saw The Incredibles 2 in theaters and it was okay, it had its moments but I personally prefer the first one.
For The Classic Reviews,Put The Powerpuff Girls Movie Into The Animation Hat Please.
I totally agree with you, it was a depressing moment when Dory died tho. Can't believe Pixar made such a big move :(
Jewell TH Because it's funny XD
The end credit scene showed the tank gang too
I'll be honest: I kinda wanted Dory's parents to be dead. I don't know why, I wanted it to play out exactly like it was, but when she finds the home, there's no one there. Her parents are gone. She then is broken, and then one last flashback is shown....... her parents teaching her the "just keep swimming" song......... she then has to move on and keeps repeating that phrase........ then the movie plays out like it did, but she's now more determined than ever before; shouting to her friends "JUST KEEP SWIMMING" as they race to the truck.
2015 is going well isn't it so far
