Hiya, Yes, I agree. Albeit, if they try the diamonds first and then play a low club towards the Q, they can still make 11 tricks as the defenders can only make 1 diamond and 1 club this way in any case. I do agree that you don't need to start the diamonds immediately though. Dom
After the spade lead, I stated making 11 tricks is double-dummy by cashing AKH first. But I was wrong. You'd make 12 tricks as South will be subject to a progressive 3-suit squeeze with the 3rd and 4th heart trick.
