I'm so surprised that people don't get her humor, that she's being "awkward" on purpose. The humor is subtle and a bit mature, but it's still hilarious, completely intentional, and GENIUS!!
I love her "careless pop-star" attitude contrasted with the overly pop sounding cutesy music and imagery. SO perfect! And I love that it's not perfect and the choreography is off etc. It adds to the whole carelessness of it. Her persona is like a pop-star that's almost bored with her day to day pop star duties. "do this dance, sign some pictures, then go home and drink." I feel like it's actually rebellious and empowering that she chooses to have this careless image since most cutesy pop stars try really hard (and are pressured) to maintain a flawless, sweet, cute girl image. Her attitude by contrast is fearless, bored, and "idgaf" which is probably a response/commentary to the expectations people place on other cutesy pop stars. So smart and so funny.
