I've been tiling for a company for 5yrs now in San Diego, but I'm moving to Rough and Ready (Grass Valley), California, in August, to be near my Mom & sister. Doing bathroom remodels and construction for the past 11yrs, I'm always having to convince people not to worry about the fact that I'm not a guy -- chicks can do just as good a job, if not better if given the chance. My finished work has never failed to prove it, but I'd be lying if I said being a female didn't make it harder to get work. Having my own tile saw would go a long way to helping me book my own jobs in Rough and Ready. Regardless of who gets the saw, thanks for your coaching and tips over the years.
    P. S. Im a girl, but i carry 90lb bags of cement, so don't think I won't be able to move the saw. ;)

I have a couple of the 7” table top IQ saws. They do chip a little more than a wet saw and you can’t cut as fast as you can with a wet saw but they definitely come in handy when doing small bathroom remodels or in new projects when there is raw hardwood that you don’t want to get wet. It’s especially nice here in NE with the brutal winters being able to set up right inside the room. I’ve cut everything from Glass mosaics to rips in 48” porcelain. They run just over $600 so for me it’s definitely worth the investment.

100% agree. I've used it a couple times, and for the price of the unit and the blades, it's just not worth it.
My montolit blade (progres_cg 4 or 4 1/2 inch) gives me a much better cut with less chipping. And from what I have seen, nothing can beat the glass cutting abilities of the montolit cermont cvp for glass tile. I've tried water free glass blades and they just don't work. Thus u need your wet saw regardless
I have multiple saws all with different blades and it works way better. A piece of poly deals with all the water mess.
    Just my opinion

Haha, “if you want this saw, come get it”. My tile setter friend has one, it’s too heavy and not versatile enough. However, he also has the 7” version, and it’s excellent within its limits.

When this first came out I was able to demo one. I had the same complaints as you. I did recently pick up the 7" table top saw iq has. Has the same chiping but as you say will pass. Will be perfect for subway tile projects, especially those in condos or 2nd floor projects.
