Update: I ordered a pair of air jordans from StockX and I got them today, this was what I was charged.
Basic customs duty : 10%
Welfare surcharge : 10%
Igst: 28%
(ad valorem)
How much did it cost? Can you brief a bit
@@Poonamsingla123 so the shoes costed me 28k with shipping charges, and custom duty was 11585..additionally UPS had a delivery charge of 846

in some cases the shipping+ tax comes out to be more than the product tho, i was trying to purchase an Armani tee it's msrp was around 8k and the shippping was 5k + customs and taxes extra😣

sir mujh se aramex ne customer aur kyc manga hai.aramex ko kyc aur custmer id dene me koi khatra aur koi kanuni (income tax related)preshani to nahi hogi
(2022) Solely for shoes: 35% Custom Duty + 28% IGST = 63% Total TAX;
IGST in some cases (for no fkn reason) goes from 28% to 40% (which is its max limit). Total TAX payable is in the 63%-75% ball park.

Oh crap. Wish had seen the video before. Just paid crazy duty in tune of 77percent. Buying from stockx from india does not make.sense unless you can ship.it.to.someone in the u.s who will then carry the goods for you..

no escape bhai. i am assuming u must have paid the total amount to stockx in advance that u can't get refund because stockx has no refund policy for Indians. + Customs will not release the shipment unless you pay the import duty. so u got to pay for it and claim your shipment or else you lose the shipment. THAT'S WHY I SUGGEST NOT TO DEAL WITH STOCKX SITTING HERE IN INDIA.
