I love this stuff! Was one year old when this first aired...and it was never syndicated. The only Sid Caesar I knew was from Mad Mad World!! Imagine Coca had a longer Career.. her I remember.. Caesar had problems common to his profession! I can spend four years watching all 139 episodes...all available..
The parallel for the Hickenloopers on "Caesar's Hour" was the "Commuters" sketches with NAnette Fabray, and those were at one point rerun as a half hour sitcom, just like the Honeymooners sketches from the Jackie Gleason were rerun independently!
Absolutely! But guess which came first? The Hickenloopers sketches debuted a year before The Honeymooners did on Gleason's show! Later, on Caesar's Hour, "The Commuters" sketches took the place of the Hickenloopers (with Nanette Fabray instead of Imogene Coca)-- sort of the suburban version of the Hickenloopers/Honeymooners. Thanks for the comment, Vincent!

Just heard about Sid Caesar from a Mel Brooks interview- these are great, thx for uploading!!
Two comic geniuses!
My most beloved comedians!
Mine, too. They were such a great team! As a friend says, they were the chocolate and peanut butter of comedy. --kjh
Thanks for posting - two great talents!
They're the chocolate and peanut butter of comedy. :)
I'm really enjoying The Hickenloopers! These skits could have been expanded into a series of their own.

They remind me of the honeymooners.tops down
Now I want to seek out and watch more "Hickenloopers" sketches -- which I'm sure are available on your channel, Gary -- thanks!
There are a bunch already posted, yes! And many more to come. :)
Sid Caesar: Your Show of Shows / Caesar's Hour / Admiral Broadway Revue I'll be looking for them when I have a chance -- thanks! :)
"You're thunk!"
Watch 'The Commuters" with Sid and Nanette Fabray.
Tremendous...
Note resemblance between "Hickenloopers" and "Honeymooners."
