- A Montmartre Food Tour in 20 awesome finds! #Montmartre #paris #foodtour
As you may know, in Montmartre, most of the sites to see are on the top of the hill... but most of the interesting places when it comes to food are lower down, on Montmartre slopes.
Come with me on these beautiful streets and discover 20 amazing food places in Montmartre!
Here is the map of our stroll: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi...
Hello my friend 😊I felt like I just gained 5 pounds looking at this video 😂Everything looks delicious 😊Awesome job 🎉
Thank you 😋
And to think that I still have to do a food tour of the Latin Quarter! So bad for my waistline! 😄
Poor thing 😅😅😅
I know, I know...
😂😂😂 C u in the next video 😊
After Alains videos it is good to go to the gym and work of all those calories......
Thank you for the tour. I stayed in Montmartre back in November for a week. Looks like I missed a lot of great places. All the more reason to go back!
Absolutely!
Another informative tour of quality recommendations! I have been to some of your choices and wholeheartedly agree with you, Alain...my mouth was watering watching your video! Bon appetit.
Thanks!
Glad you liked it 🙂
Thank you for this video mate. Absolutely loved it. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks a lot, as usual!🙂
👍Another excellent food tour, only Glace Bachir have I been to, my kids loved it.
We will certainly try some of your Montmartre recommendations on one of our trips to Paris this year!
Hope you enjoy!
what a calming relaxing stroll around the area! thank you for taking us with you
My pleasure 🙏
Always love your vlogs . They r the best . It really helps us when planning Paris trip. Just came back from beautiful Paris & did shopping in the pharmacies u showed us in your pharmacy vlogs . Thank u so much 🙏❤️
So glad it could be useful. That's why I'm doing these for!
Thank you for
Posting this walking tour. This is region I chose to stay for 7 days.
A great neighborhood...
Once again👌👍you should be designated a Paris Chevalier💪for promoting a true affordable gourmand experience for us travellers around the world! Merci Beaucouop Alain!🙏🗼🥐🧀🍇🍷🍾🥂💜💚💙🤗
That would be cool!
Don't really know if this title exists! 😄
Definitely going to visit some of these on my next visit in May. Great video.
You should!
Thanks for liking...
Another briliant, and helpful, video. Thank you.
My pleasure 🙏
Great video. The ice cream at Baschir is interesting and I will go there on my trip to Paris next week.
Hope you have a good experience there!
Great tour Alain , the perfect way to start a sunny Sunday.
Glad you enjoyed it, but not really sunny over Paris...
@@paristoptips The better weather will be there soon. I am horrified about the fast food chains, hopefully they will not become a "thing". Maybe France will be strict on the chemicals they put in there food.
There are still far more typical Parisian bistros than American fast foods in Paris.
Excellent tour! Problem: now I need more time and more stomachs to tour Monmartre! :-) Idea for a new video: Great restaurants that are open on Sundays and Mondays. It's a challenge.
Good idea! It's true that finding one on Sunday evening is not always easy!
We are a not particularly young couple from Toronto, Canada. We always enjoy your videos but you really outdid yourself with this one. We have made several additions to our notes for our next visit to Paris.
Your opening comments struck a responsive chord for my wife and me. It has been several years since we have visited as we have been addressing some health issues. We have been dealing with our Paris deprivation by watching many UA-cam videos. One thing we have noted, and not favourably, is the increased number of McDonald’s, KFC etc as well as the plethora of Happy Hours, burgers and the like. We will be returning in the next several months ( we hope). We will not be seeking out multinationals, burger spots etc but rather the type of places you highlight in your videos. Many thanks!
My pleasure!
I don't have issues eating at McDonald's or five guys from time to time, but I don't want American standardized food to replace typical bistros in Paris.
Our employer buys the staff a Lindt Chocolate bunny every year at Easter for a gift. Thats about 150 bunny’s. I’m in Australia and work for a European company.
The chocolate these bunnies are made with is quite good!
Yikes, I put on 5 kg just by watching! Thanks for all the great suggestions!
You are so welcome! 🙏
Coincidentally the best Croque Monsieur (great ham, quality cheese, béchamel sauce ) I’ve had even including France was in Australia in a town called Creswick (120 km from the state capital, Melbourne). There is a patisserie run by a French couple called Le Peche Gourmand and they make the most delectable baggers, sandwiches and pastries (not cheap).
Usually, when you're abroad and want to eat a good baguette - or a croque monsieur as for you - French expatriate bakers are the right choice.
Thank you for the video! Could you recommend a good Gascogne or South Western restaurant there?Thank you
Le Relais Gascon at 6 rue des Abbesses or Chez Papa at 59 rue de Clichy.
@@paristoptips merci beaucoup !💓🌸
@@sofyameytus710 Avec plaisir !
Merci! Les calissons sont mes preferes! 💕💕😍😍 Bon! La glace Ashta de chez Bachir... pourriez-vous nous envoyer quelques cuillerees vers notre cote ici aux Etats-Units? S'il vous plait?? 😁😁😊😊
I fear that you will have to come to Paris. At the same time, what an excellent excuse to come...
Bonjour! Can you also do a walking tour of Goutte d'Or and Barbés? 🤔
If you film in this part of Paris, you risk having issues with people there...
And, honestly, there's not much to see.
I did film the Barbes market which is featured on my markets video.
@@paristoptips health issues? so something to do with sanitation and food preparation
No, no health issues. Simply quite a lot of people who don't want to be filmed. As you can see in this video, ua-cam.com/video/hP1dzQ1aW2A/v-deo.html another youtuber had problems filming in la Goutte d'Or
Good Morning Alain.
Roflmao ...Of course....Lindt......Your a shocking sweet tooth Alain.
Hello there!
Well... Yes... and no! In fact, I'm more a savory guy than a sweet guy 😄
@@paristoptips You would have to be Paris's foremost expert of chocolate shops....?????
I'd rather be the expert in butcher shops 😂
Alan, I'm coming to Paris on May 9th-16th could you Please help me with finding a hotel that's in the center of Paris? In walking distance to most of the tourist attractions. Also, how's the weather during that time asking because I want to make sure that I pack appropriately.
Temperature wise it should be around 20° and the weather should be not too bad, but you should have some rain.
What kind of hotel are you looking for, and at what price?
@@paristoptips hotel around $325-$350
A hotel I would highly recommend is "Le Six" in the sixth arrondissement near Saint-Germain.
Also, in Montmartre, the "Terrass' Hotel", "Hotel L'Echiquier Opéra Paris MGallery by Sofitel" near the Grands Boulevards, "Hotel Odéon Saint-Germain near the Luxembourg Garden, and "Hotel Le Notre-Dame", near... Notre-Dame 😄
🙌🏽 Awesome! Thank you, and Thanks for responding back😎
Hope you tell me which hotel you'll eventually select...
French chocolate is too dark for your taste?!
I find Swiss choc to be too sweet for my taste! 😂
Everybody has their own taste!🤣
you can buy Lindt chocolate in every supermarket in Europe.
Indeed!
And that's a good thing 🙂
Yes, Paris is the gastronomic capital of the world! I find it repulsive and quite funny that those fast food chains have the gall to open shops in Paris or other areas of France, mostly close to major tourist attractions. Not to worry, the French are not fooled by fake food, if you look up the reviews of these places, they are embarrassingly low scores. The French demand quality and tradition in their food and drinks, even the children eat good food.
Yes.... and no.
Most French people eat from time to time in American fast foods (I do too!).
McDonald's is by far the largest restaurant company in France with 1500 fast foods.
I have to disagree with Lindt chocolate. So gross.
It seems to be a brand that is either loved or not.
To each their own 😁
I purchase gastronomic black chocolate at a high price for my wife, and I go for the cheaper milk chocolate at Lindt... or Cailler.
Once again👌👍you should be designated a Paris Chevalier💪for promoting a true affordable gourmand experience for us travellers around the world! Merci Beaucouop Alain!🙏🗼🥐🧀🍇🍷🍾🥂💜💚💙🤗
