Magnolia Fun Facts:
Magnolia Tree are the state flowers for two states, Louisiana and Mississippi.
There are around 210 species of magnolia that differ in size, shape, and color of the flower.
• Magnolias are believed to be the earliest known flowering plants, with their fossils dating back over 100 million years. Magnolia trees even existed before bees, so they rely on beetles for pollination. Instead of nectar, the flowers produce large quantities of pollen that the beetles use for food.
• The oldest trees on the grounds of the White House are two southern magnolias planted between 1829 and 1837 by Andrew Jackson, in memory of his wife, Rachel, who died two weeks after Jackson won the election.
• Magnolia flowers are actually composed of “tepals,” a combination of sepals and petals similar in size and shape, comparable to water lilies.
Magnolias can range in size from 15-foot shrubs to massive trees that can reach heights of 80 feet or more.
• Magnolia has brown or grey bark that is smooth when the plant is young. As the plant gets older, bark turns from smooth to scaly.
• They produces 1 ½ to 3 inches wide flower that consists of up to 18 leathery tepals (fused petals and sepals)
• Magnolia flowers are either star shaped or bowl shaped
• Color of the flower depends on the species and it can be white, yellow, pinkish, purple and green.
• Tree has pyramidal crown that can reach 30 to 50 feet in diameter.
• Magnolia has dark green, oval shaped leaves that are covered with layer of wax.
• Leaves are evergreen and they are alternately arranged on the branches.
“Have you ever looked at the bud of a magnolia flower? It’s a tight little pod that stays closed up for a long time on the end of its branch until one day, out of nowhere, it finally bursts open into this gigantic, gorgeous, fragrant flower that’s ten times bigger than the bud itself. It’s impossible to imagine that such a big beautiful thing could pop out of that tiny little bud. But it does.” - Joanna Gaines

I always LOVE the random organic-ness of your stencils. Can I buy the ones you have?
My stencil designs are not for sale yet, currently looking for a company to partner with to bring them to market. The stencils used in my videos are proto types and are not yet marketable as they are considered too flimsy for mass production. Once I can get the designs to where they are no longer considered flimsy I can submit for production. In the meantime here is some additional information:

Are there random foilage files for stencils, available in the Maker? Or do I just take a photo and scan it. Love your Magnolia. ❤ CHEERS!
I do not know about what files are available on the Maker Site, I use the Cricut Design Studio and upload my designs (JPEG) to cut. I prepare my photography to be used as a stencil using photoshop. Sorry I cannot be of more help on this subject. But here is some additional information that may be of help:
