CAC CA-27 Mk32 Sabre jet display at Wings Over Illawarra Airshow (Sydney Airshow) 2019
The CAC Sabre is privately owned and flown by ex RAAF Squadron Leader Jeff Trappett with the current registration of VH-SBR and the former military registration of A94-352.
This CAC Sabre is sometimes called the Avon Sabre or CA-27, is an Australian variant of the North American Aviation F-86F Sabre fighter aircraft. The F-86F was redesigned and built by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) which equipped five RAAF squadrons plus also saw service with the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force as ex RAAF aircraft.
