Really glad I picked up a weather radio - got a radar indicated tornado warning last night at 4:45 AM from the radio, but my phone never sounded a warning (despite the weather app indicating I was under a tornado warning when I opened it). Luckily nothing touched down, but if it had, without the radio we would have had no warning at all!
Wow, you’re lucky
I bought one too. This weather is crazy.
Yep we got one in Central VA as well at 4:45am. My phone was the only one that went off in the house
IMPORTANT TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR PHONE ADD SOUND FOR NOTFICATIONS!
If it’s the iPhone weather app it won’t work you need the weather channel
I spent an hour digging trenches to save the neighbors chickens from drowning, prepped all my food in case we lose power and then had to tie up some trees that broke before they get any worse. It's been the most hectic day😅 north east pa❤
Thanks for helping the chickens 🐔 🐔 🐔 😺

You’re awesome! Stay safe.
I can relate.
I lost several bantams when we had about 12 inches of rain from a hurricane. We evacced, so I couldn't check on them for 48 hours. When they jumped off of he roofs of the nest boxes they couldn't get back up.
Lesson: provide some kind of ramps to places that will be above the water, because they may not be able to fly when soaking wet.
You rock! ❤
I'm melting in Fort Worth.
God bless iced tea.
😂⭐️🤠🐴🧋👌
So sorry. We got a temp reprieve in OK, but that just makes me nervous for wind when it changes that much, that fast.
Sitting here in East Tx slurping a big sweet tea and putting off mowing till this evening!
Same here in Louisiana! Please we could use some rain!!! It’s hot has Hades
This heat and humidity is horrible!! Come on Autumn!! 🍁
Don’t be scared, be prepared! Thank you for everything you do Ryan ❤

I can confirm that in Southern Quebec, the remanents of Debbie are packing quite a punch. We had flooding in the Montreal region this morning caused by rain intensity, we had 2 or 3 inches of rain at 10am this morning and it is far from over (edit at 5pm : 3,1 to 3,9 inches maximum in Southern Quebec at 4,5 inches at 5pm, still raining at 7pm, source : CBC)
I can confirm Alexandre's confirmation as I'm in the Montreal region as well. 😊
I'm in meaford ontario, we got nothing from it lol
@@alexandregagnon6318 I’m in Upstate New York and we got about 4 inches through the day which is crazy - normally don’t get flooding around here
@@xcutesypandaxii6198 we may get about 4 or 5 inches when all is said and done, some regions may get 5,5 inches in Southern Quebec. We do get the usual torrential downpours from thunderstorms, but like this, it is quite uncommon.
It flooded up to the curb on a part of my street
73 straight days of over 100° in Phoenix [started 05/27], the record is 75 [set last year]..
We breaking the record on Monday
had weather radios for years... still unhappy to wake up at 3AM because of tornadoes but one county over got slammed at least 3 times yesterday and I'm glad I was able to know and be safe.

Ugh. This cold air was super nice in the Midwest. Classic August fall tease before we get blasted with another month of hardcore summer
Ugh, I want my August back--not October. I spend 10 months out of the year bundled up here in Wisconsin the way it is; I don't like being cheated out of any of the too-brief summer we have. Bring on the hardcore.
@@wendys7334 last winter was the most mild I can remember, I’d take 4 months of freezing.
@B1GE2 yes, 4 month is fine! It's when it extends far beyond that-- even into June--and then gets chilly in August...I barely get any use out of my summer wardrobe!
I love these quick Weather UpDates! It's better then waiting for the Weather reports on regular TV. Thanks Ryan Hall Y'all 🙂
Agree
Just got our 8+ inches of rain here in PA from Debby. Flooding, mud slides and trees down. Fun, fun day. Thanks for all you do.
🙏🙏🙏
@@kellyahola4041 It's been crazy. Southwestern PA is still in a drought and we only had a light breeze today.
I pray everyone is safe 🙏
I would like all meteorologists henceforth to refer to this storm as, "Sneaky Little Ernesto".
Thank you for keeping us up-to-date. The job that you and your team do is very much appreciated.
South Carolina needs no more rain! Rivers are flooding … well everything’s flooding currently have 3 foot of water in my front yard
Thanks Ryan for all you do!
And, so it begins, the season of insurance companies increasing home deductibles and paying adjusters to deny our claims 😑
So true
@@margaretwilliams3353 oh yay
You got that right, the only organization that could take your money and squander it on other things, and when it comes down for them to pay their claim they get the government to call it a disaster so the taxpayers have to pay it.
I have a good friend that is a insurance agent, and he is complaining about all the lawyers, he claims that's why the insurance is going up, I told him if he would pay his claims he would have a problem with lawyers.
Ouch. I have to thank my Farm Bureau insurance over the years. But the horror stories I have heard makes me understand what you are saying. Buy quality not just low cost. My son learned that lesson with progressive…

We got lucky. 🙏💪👍🌻💛👏South Carolina. In our area. Ty .
Thanks, Ryan.
And God bless you.
Thank-you, sir!
I am the extreme southeastern corner of Pa., bordering Del. and Pa.
Woke up around 7:30 this morning and let the dogs out. They did a quick about face and right back in. The air was so heavy and dense with humidity, it was probably the worse I ever experienced. As the day goes on, we are getting short bursts of wind, very dark skies, and high humidity.
They did get a tornado yesterday in New Castle County, Del. It took out a bunch of power poles and damage to a lot of houses.
Keep up the awesome work of keeping us prepared.
@rickydrone9274 Damn that must of been awful I got lucky though as it only flooded up to the curb on a part of my street without any power outages but just fallen branches EVERYWHERE
All that have or may have damage or loss, prayers from TN ❤
And from North Dakota
Thanks Ryan & the y'all squad, we all appreciate everything you do!
Debby killed 2 people in the Raleigh, North Carolina area yesterday. Tornado hit a house and killed a man and a tree fell on a house and killed a lady.
A very large tree came down across the street from me and hit the roof and back wall of my neighbors house. Thankfully they escaped without injury but the house wasn’t so lucky.
I’m extremely glad I have 2 Midland NOAA Weather Radios in my house. Most of the alerts I received were for tornadoes and they started at 2:30am when I was sleeping! Needless to say, I didn’t sleep through any of the Watches and/or Warnings. Might have saved my life
@@alanbierhoff6831 omg! Prayers going out to all their loved ones for their tragic loss! No one is immune to storms! And I know they will only they will increase and intensify for we are living in peculiar times the Lord says!
Sad :(
We got very lucky. Lost a lot of trees and large branches, but they didn't hit any houses in the neighborhood, as far as I could tell. Plenty of firewood now!
There was a narrow band of intense rain yesterday evening in northeastern Ohio. Parts of Orrville received over 5.5 inches and northward from there was several locations with over four inches. The band was about 10 miles wide where the storm cells just flowed over the same path for over 5 hours.
@@ganggreen9012 NEO needs a break so many of us are still without power. Seems like no one other local media is reporting it.
@@danielposlet9519agreed. Was right next door to brecksville/peninsula where one of the tornadoes touched down. Luckily, power lines in my area are pretty darn strong, but a lot of my family further north weren't so lucky. Still out of power.
Akronite here, I got 4in at my place. Crazy to see what the Cvnp and Orville got. Definitely a unique system.
Clear, concise, and right on the point! Thank you, Ryan, !
Yesterday was fun. I was at work, watching Radar Omega, guiding my home-alone kids through FOUR tornado warnings back to back! One of the areas of rotation went right over our neighborhood!
@@RainbowMama143 glad y’all are all safe!
thanks Ryan!
Got woken up by my phone app alerting me to tornado warning this morning in South Central PA telling me to Seek Shelter Now with terrifying online siren noise. I ran downstairs then thought damn I remembered my phone, grabbed my flashlight, but forgot my helmet and my shoes. I stayed hunkered down for 10 min till TV WX peeps gave the all clear. Being awakened like that really got my heart pumping. My cat refused to come downstairs with me had no time to chase her or lure her downstairs. Glad my phone tornado alert app worked. The tornado was radar warned and evidently did not touchdown, thank goodness the circulation went either right over my house or within 3 blocks. I was tempted to look outside but I stayed put. I'm going to fix a too go bag with my helmet, shoes and a flashlight inside and put that in my safe(ish) spot.
Cats are so weird😂. I have 3, plus 6 dogs. Anytime there is even a threat of severe weather, my cats get moved into large crates with litter boxes and my dogs get collars put on(we normally don’t wear collars inside the fence for safety reasons). If the warnings get close, everyone gets moved to the safe space. I have to do this because my dumbass was outside wrangling animals when a small tornado touched down and destroyed my chicken house a few years ago. And I would do it again, so I just have to be prepared
The fo bag is a must. And yeah, the cat was not in favor of the safety plan here either.
Thanks Ryan 🥰💙
Thanks for the updates on the weather legend. It's appreciated
You have such a nice soothing voice, great for when one has a hang over
look forward to every video man. keep up the good work
McLean county water rescue 9 family members trapped on there roof in NORTHERN PA.
Thank you Ryan & your staff. You’re the best!
California and oregon need all that rain to help out the wild fires over there
Thanks for being a great inspiration Ryan, it’s helped me to learn more and more about weather and actually start studying it more and more
Thanks😊
Dont be scared, be prepared! Thanks for everything Ryan!
You can be prepared and still scared…
I'm waiting for it to get cooler in South Texas 😂I'm done with summer ☀️
7-3/4 inches of rain from Debby here on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. And man, did it come down last night. There was a campground downhill from here where people had to be rescued from flood waters. Just like you've said, Ryan, those mountain slopes concentrates the rain into the creeks and hollers.
Wow. I've camped around there. I can imagine.
Dang, i grew up not far from luray, hoping people around there are safe
Western Marylander here! We got 2.5-3 inches of rain last night and I was very, very happy! We really needed a good soaking rain, and we definitely got one! Thank God!
Thank you 😊
Thank you for all your reports and loves……they are a lot of work I know! So thank you for it. Your the only reason I would have known my family’s town (greenfield) got hit so I’m very thankful
Historically speaking that path for the tropical storm is historic.. go to some of my favorite places in the OBX and you'll see the marks they leave on the walls as to where the water line was from storms like that... that is a classic storm surge maker and is pretty nasty for the coastal folks.
I live in Virginia and I got so much rain yesterday!! Its all sunny and nice today. Hope everyone has a great day!👍
We got close to 6" rain yesterday from Debby..NC just outside Charlotte. Glad to see sunshine today
"this little tangerine" and "baby Ernesto" are so cuuuuuute
I’m from Southern Maryland and glad there weren’t any tornados. Not much rain but we still have the winds going on
In the western Mohawk Valley area of Central New York State we have gotten over 2 inches of rain so far. We are expecting another 2 to 3 inches before it is over. The Mohawk River is rising.
@@zekemedia1310 we are by Cooperstown..so much rain.. I have mini-ponds in my fields.

We skated the storms today, here in Northern VA, and we had the coolest cloud display, before sunset. Absolutely beautiful.
Im happy the 100° days waited until August, this year. 🤠🌊💙
North of Sarasota Florida area here. We received close to 13 inches . Sarasota suburbs are still flooded.
I couldn't believe how deep the water got (and stayed). Just awful.
The one time a tornado actually hits near my house I didn’t know until the tornado was on the ground yesterday… There aren’t tornado sirens etc. in the mid-Atlantic/Northeast. It was actually a call from my job’s emergency management system that actually alerted me. Glad it was only a EF1 and no one was significantly injured.
Will be picking up an emergency radio…
Catastrophic flooding in tioga county pa rn
Thanks for all your updates. So far I have been on the edge of the storm in Western, N.Y. Things can change fast though and sometimes without any warning. Most people here have basements to go to. Then again if you have flooding you need to have other plans. We have even done pratice things. Important papers Meds all packed in a back pack. Change of cloths doesn't hurt. Plenty of food down there anyway. Along with a crank radio, flash lights, and candles. The only thing I would have liked is more comfortable chairs, as I have a bad hip. Will have to look into that LOL. Then it's always great to tell stories and have a few laughs while hankered down, We all need to be prepaired and not panic. Thanks for all you do for us. I am south of Buffalo, N.Y. Prarers being sent for everyone, it's sure been wild weather!
The best, be prepared, not scared, I've seen today.
Loving the cooler weather here in Ky! Thx for all u do and sending blessings and love to u, ur family and the Y’all Squad!!!

I live near Williamsport PA, we have had flash flooding in several areas & a lot of ground water raising in basements. We sit in a valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. Most of the storm went around us, yet we got almost 2.5 inches of rain since yesterday. We went from too hot & dry to eat too much water. The Susquehanna river is up, but so far hasn’t flooded, which goes around our town.
I’m in pa and it’s very strange outside right now it’s raining and crazy wind gusts but weird thing is it’s super warm. I was thinking to myself this reminds me of tornado weather. So I figured I’d check your channel to see if you were covering anything and you even said it possible tornadoes 🤦♂️ last time I saw weather like this we ended up having a tornado go right through our backyard. Stay safe everyone and keep an eye on the sky 🙋♂️✌️

Thank you for always keeping us updated and informed with the upcoming weather.
The rain was crazy yesterday afternoon-evening as it flooded up to the curb on half of my streets block
Looking forward to good weather this weekend in Louisville.
Here in central Ohio, too. Upper 70s during the day and upper 50s at night. 😊
@@lisasharf1442ok ok ok which evil entity do I have to make a pact with to get that? I’m ready to sell my soul for some rain.
The rain that happened in Moncks Corner SC last night was noooo joke!!🫣😬😬😬
We live south of Summerville SC and we got it too. Dog spent the night with us (which she usually doesn't do).
I live in Virginia and we had confirmed tornadoes near Faquier County last night
Debby dropped huge ammounts of rain in Quebec, causing flood damage to many people's basements and nearly flooding my friend's septic system into thier basement. I imagine it must have happened to someone, though. There were several inches of water over many roadways even after the rain stopped. I've honestly not seen this much rain from one event before. The flood help groups on fb were alight with activity from just yesterday's rain.. usually they're only active in the spring, when snow melt and days of rainfall causes flooding. They measured 157mm of rain, or 6.1 inches of rain.. wow
Thx for the information
Freakin Debbie dropped 8.51 inches of rain last night at my house in Hampshire Co. WV. Terrible flooding. A person in Harpers Ferry unfortunately lost their life due to a tree falling on there house. I had 4 feet of water in the basement this morning. Finally got it all drained and now trying to get it dry. And what sucks is that my homeowners policy does not have flood coverage because it was never needed. Oh well, it’s only money right?
Weird, now not doubting you, here in Hampshire Cty, Capon Bridge, we got plenty of rain, came down hard for a while too, but the ground sucked it right up it seems.
Not even many puddles, guess it depends where you’re at, creeks, lakes etc.
Glad you’re ok.
I sure hope you’re right about Missouri getting some rain! We need it! Thanks for a great video, as usual!
You missed our 4 tornados that came through northern Ohio on Tuesday afternoon😮 Thank goodness for tornado sirens!
They have actually confirmed 6 tornados in NE Ohio/Cleveland Metro area from Tuesday. I have family members in the power outages area. My uncle is driving 100 miles round trip to finish his radiation treatments daily.
@CrazyCrafter-le9ge
This was a BIG miss! There is a lot of damage here and much more in some of the surrounding cities. (These tornados really scooted around Northern Ohio. I hadn't heard 6 but I'm not surprised.
Still waiting to get power back after this weather event in Ohio. I had just clocked out of work and hadn't even left the building when they sent us to a safe spot. Had I left sooner, we would have been in the path of one of the tornadoes.
We like the possibility predictions. We know it's not going to happen exactly that way but just knowing it there and on the way we like
We got between 6-7” here near Akron, Ohio yesterday. In like 4 hours. Flooding everywhere, cars stranded, the cuyahoga river flooded too.
My sister is in Akron and her daughter is in the Falls.
Thank u very much for the updates!
I'm hoping we don't get too bad of stuff from that new storm coming :')
Prayers for tioga county Pennsylvania. Very very bad there right now.

Thankyou Ryan. CT has been hot, humid and gusty winds all day. Bye bye Debby 👋
Thanks to your encouragement, I got a NOAA weather radio. It's been getting a lot of use here in Maryland, due to Debby!
It was very windy and unsettled here in Massachusetts...lower clouds were flying by and a higher layer of cirrus clouds were beautiful.
Hi Ryan
From New York City- there is alot of wind. I have my windows open. It seems like it wants to blow my screen off the window. From the distance of my window, I could see some construction being done. They had to stop working. I keep watching outside my window cause the way the wind is blowing hard. The trees in the area looks like they want to snap. Be safe out there and continue the weather. Thanks for the info, need to contact family in Puerto Rico. Family in Florida are all right. Thank God.❤❤❤❤❤

Me too!!! Love Snow ⛄️
I can’t wait for winter. It is my number one most favourite season out of the rest of the seasons and especially when Christmas is around the best time of the year and I cannot wait for lots of snow thanks to a La Niña pattern being favoured for the next upcoming winter because it favours an increase chance of 70 to 80% of having a colder and snowier winter typically. 🥶🌨️☃️☕️🎄
Thanks for the update Ryan thanks for keeping people safe!!
Interesting, I just checked the projected weather forecast for BS in upstate NY and no rain in site from now until next week! I know it can change on the daily…but wow, not even a drop of rain from today forward. I am going to watch this and see what happens in the end! TY Ryan!
