The BEST Weapon From Each Assassin's Creed Game

- There’s a lot of weapons throughout the entire assassin’s creed series. Some can be amazing whilst others can be straight up silly. In this video, i’m gonna talk about my favorite weapon from each assassin’s creed game. Before I begin, I want to clarify that I won't be covering gadgets and tools like rope darts, phantom blades, hidden guns, and such. I'll save those for another video. Instead, I'll be focusing on various swords and secret weapons, ranging from their incredible power to simply how outrageous they look.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

Connors tomahawk is iconic
The tomahawk cant be rivaled
@@hussainmehdi4378hidden blade is a close one tho
@@pokemonninja5934 yeah
Truly
I actually have a replica of his tomahawk, i found it at goodwill and its been one of my prized possessions
Small correction, the armour and dagger of Brutus in Brotherhood were left in a tomb by Brutus after he killed Ceasar but were later moved behind the iron cage we find them by the followers of Romulus, who used them for the worshipping of Romulus convincing their cult they belonged to Romulus instead of Brutus. That is mentioned in the scrolls you gather from the tomb missions. The dagger also has unique animations just like Vlad Tepest's sword in Revelations.
Connor’s tomahawk is the best weapon in the series aside from the signature hidden blade
Never knew about the animations with Vlads sword. I never had the DLC but now I'm playing the Ezio Trilogy I can use this sword. Looking forward to Revelations for another reason now.
3 real life fun facts about the Mars Pistol:
1. It was designed in 1890, so 32 years after the game takes place.
2. It is chambered in .45, same caliber as the famous M1911 pistol.
3. It's recoil is that high, that it was rejectet by the british army. Nobody that fired it once, wanted to fire it again.
The British military kept sending the gun back to its creator multiple times to fix it, he kept refusing. No surprise that his company went under soon after.
Honestly, my favorite Unity weapon is the Officer's Saber. There's just something about it that strikes the right chord with me. It's elegant but looks dangerous and fits well with the times, plus it's a perfect balance of strong but not too powerful as to make the combat mundane and easy. At least in my opinion
the eagle sword is awesome
With Rogue and Blackflag being my favorite games of the series, i was happy that my weapons of choice seem to be liked by more people.
For AC Origins: In terms of combat usefulness, I'd argue that the Vox Populi sword (DLC pack weapon) is the most overpowered weapon in the game thanks to its instant charging perk, making it extremely useful for knocking down tough enemies and spamming critical blows on boss fights. The other weapon that also comes with the pack - Divide et Impera axe - is also useful for taking on multiple regular enemies and regaining health thanks to its perk.
But if we are talking strictly about aesthetics, the Ultima Blade looks pretty cool with that blue light hue it gives of when swinging it.
My favorite weapon in Valhalla is a tie between Gungnir and Gae Bolg. When both of them are fully upgraded and wielded together, and Eivor is wearing Thor's armor fully upgraded, Eivor is basically invincible and can take care of any and all enemies present in just seconds.
Gungnir and Homosexual Bolg is known for being the most OP and broken combo in the entire game.
Mjolnir also pairs well with anything, especially Excalibur (which blinds enemies after critical hits), so you get both stun and blind AoE on most hits.
Really liked your choices and great picks for you fav weapons
I nearly jumped outta my seat when I saw my video at 3:41 cheers for featuring it! Amazing list, dagger of brutus is just so brutal and has such cool finisher animations, think we need more weaponry in the games with unique movesets cause I feel past black flag we dont get anything like that anymore.
haha np! I was searching for good videos displaying it and yours was so clear of them all!
Am I the only one who misses using the hidden blade as a primary weapon
Tbh I still play 3 and Rogue and there are plenty of times where I used the blades because I want discretion. Don't get me wrong I love to terrify patrols by hanging the officer, shooting the elites, and then toying with the regs like a house cat would with a mouse. But sometimes quiet panic is much better then bombastic elegance in open conflict, especally If you are a defensive/technical fighter (parry/disarm or counter kill.)
Can we talk about AC1 hidden blade? Hidden blade is supposed to be a secret weapon that no one besides assassins should know about and yet if you walk up to guards normally and try to kill them, they will just counter you. I find that to be a complete bs
well actually that’s how it should be, like if a dude in a hood come up to my face on god id push him too 💀
@@GamingClipsVanilla I didn't mean that they push you when you come to close. What I ment was if you try to kill them with hidden blade, they will catch your arm even though they shouldn't know about hidden blade
@@GamingClipsVanillaLMAOO😭😭😭
@@mr.o5421that’s only if they’re on alert. Which makes sense.
@@cheeselover8511 really? It happened to me even if they weren't on high alert
I remember in my first full playthrough of the AC series, i wanted to try a variety of weapon styles and really only got that in a way that felt good through unity.
Black flag was my first game, and we only had swords. Then in the Ezio trilogy i never bothered with heavy and blunt weapons because they didnt seem fitting.
But then AC3 rolled around, and i still never changed what weapon i used, but this time it was because the tomahawk was so much fun to use lmao
My favorite from AC Odyssey is Poseidons trident. Not the best or strongest weapon, but it lets you breathe underwater which is just awesome, big help.
Damn I just liked the look I didn’t realize you could breathe underwater
@@MrMgkman13 Yup. The last sea related cultist you have to kill is nearly impossible to defeat with having that trident. I didn't know that until attempting for nearly 2 hours.
My favorite weapons from assassins creed origins is the sun slayer. The gold coloring combined the overall greatness and versatility is what made it my favorite weapon
My number one favorite weapon in this whole franchise is the Air Rifle from AC: Rouge. That thing was pretty damn useful and fun to use. Right behind their is the Gold Pistols from AC: Black Flag because they could down a brute in one hit unlike most other firearms in that game. And the Rend Asunderer and the Vorpal Kukri form AC: Syndicate together are number three. Those weapons were so fun to use. And finally the Ammenhotep Predator Bow from AC: Origins. I think I liked it's perks the most. The same goes for the Gae Bolg. That weapon is a lot of fun to use. And those are my favorites in that order.
i always preferred the realistic weapons (usually the highest grade ones possible). some mentions that i can remember from the top of my head are the cinquedea from Unity (although the naming schemes in that game were just bizarre). the scimitar in Valhalla was such an elegant and beautiful looking weapon, i also liked the joyeuse although it wasn't the most realistic weapon. in ezio trilogy all of the weapons had such badass animations that it's really hard to decide, but i liked the heavy weapons like polearms and greatswords as they made me feel so goddamn powerful.
I love the tentacle knuckle duster in Syndicate. It's just such a unique design for an otherwise simple weapon and it fits the setting very well.
although it can't be used as a primary weapon in ac3, I did really love countering with the snare when they're in the secondary slot.
My favourite unity weapon has to be the musket/rifle I love the idea of being a assassin sniper darting from roof top to roof top sniping my targets, plus I think it makes Arno look badass.
My favorite in Valhalla would have to be Excalibur. I've always been a fan of the Arthurian legend. In second place would be Joyous and third place would be Gae Bolg.
I think brotherhood’s xbow was the most broken, it typically 1 shot, was silent, ranged and fast
The Dagger of Brutus still has the most brutal animations in all of AC to this day.
True joy to use
There are 2 spears you can get, one of them being gungnir. I forget the name of the other, i think it's in a helix pack, but it has 2 prongs and has red particle effects, and those 2 spears together imo is the most op combo in the game
as for black flag, pistol sword is the one of the best weapons. You have to complete all assassination contracts to get it. Also, I like the blowpipe. using it with berserk & sleep darts and blowpipe is a stealth weapon.
My favorite weapon in Black Flag is the Throwing Knife. It One Shots EVERY enemy in the game, and is so OP you can only carry one. But I always keep one and pick mine up because the range and damage is unreal.
For Black Flag end rogue, I personally favor the pirate seminars. Just because they’re powerful and early access you just have to raise the money and they’re good for the whole game. Then I can focus more money on the ship.
My first playthrough of ac3 was when it came out. The combat was one thing i just couldnt do. I beat it though using only pistols and patiently looting more bullets from enemies
I think every game has at least one bad weapon
Personally for AC Odyssey I like Arachne’s Stingers because I like the fast paced fighting style of the daggers plus the free poison damage
My favorite weapon in ACII will always be the Old Syrian Sword. It didn't have the best stats, but it was still the most beautiful weapon in the game.
My favorite Unity weapon is also the Eagle of Suger, followed by the Sword of Eden. Shame we can't use the Sword of Eden's lightning.
Favorite weapons from AC games i've played.
AC3: Sawtooth sword. brutal sword + brutal wielder = many unrecognizable bodies.
AC4: Pistol swords. Shouldve had the option to aim and shoot but still awesome. Seriously, imagine you can get six shots off at a horde of soldiers.
AC Rogue: Templar sword. Black knight sword... What else is there to say?
AC Unity: Crescent blade (long weapon). It was basically a sword with a long handle.
AC Origins: The Fang (sickle sword). Classic style khopesh that poisons too? Sign me up!
AC Odyssey: The Spear of Leonidas. Not a main weapon but i always liked the abilities you can do with it. Not to mention the overpower attack with it is always sick as hell.
AC Vallhalla: Dopplehandler & Carolingian Longsword. Greatswords i can duel wield... thats it.
You should do armour sets/outfits next
my favorite weapon/gadget is the ropedart there's just something funny about throwing mid combat and yelling random bs GO!
The Eagle of Suger is IMO the best sword in Unity. Free if you know how to solve the puzzles. Blinding effect is OP. Not the most stylish but sometimes there's beauty in simplicity.
My favourite Weapon in the whole series is Tomahawk. As I used to kill hundreds of redcoats. I got Leeeee!
My opinion
Fav weapon from AC1 - just a sword
Fav weapon from AC2 - spear (heavy weapon)
Fav weapon from ACB - dagger (with throwing knives)
Fav weapon from ACR - hidden blades
Fav weapon from AC3 - depends on my mood, but mainly sword
Fav weapon from AC Origins - bow (didn't play much at all)
Fav weapon from AC Odyssey - dagger (with Leo spear)
Fav weapon from AC Valhalla - Dane axe (especially when double wielding)
Fav weapon from AC Mirage - environment
Best in unity. Great Flamberge.... Nothing more satisfying than walking up to a guard then rather than assassinating them using a heavy sword to do a brutal take down.
My favourite weapon in AC Valhalla was the Fiery Warsong weapon from the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC
Florentine falchion gang, speak up.
I know it's not the best weapon by any means, but the quick cutting style of falchions fits Ezio's character a little more than the other straightswords.
officers rapiers and pistol swords have same stats, so pistol sword are technically on the top with a pistol finisher.
And the Rend Asunder is the top gun in Syndicate, it has touch less clip size but more accuracy, I'd take that anyday
And on PC, you can unlock everything in all games with "mods" very early, except for 3 remastered, nobody made one for that.
Correction on the Eagle of Suger: It's not a real sword, but it DOES exist in real life.
It's a vase called "Suger's Eagle" or "Aigle de Suger", dating all the way back to the SECOND CENTURY! It's also a rare case of almost perfect preservation of an artifact.
It's practically asking for ancient weapon treatment.
Whatever you’re talking about the katana and Wasi from rogue listing a couple others that have katanas like the katana from assassin‘s Creed unity and the one from origins, but you forgot about the blade of yumminess assassin’s creed odyssey, which is actually pretty good
Coud you make an video about
Ranking every hidden blade
favorite hidden blade
1. Altair’s Sword (Original Game obviously)
2. Schiavona (AC II)
3. Bastard Sword (AC Brotherhood)
4. Afghani Khyber Blade (AC Revelations)
5. Lincoln Sword Replica (AC III)
6. Cuttoe (AC Liberation)
7. Pirate Scimitars (AC IV Black Flag)
8. Machete (AC Freedom Cry)
9. Templar Bastard Sword & Dagger (AC Rogue)
10. Snake-Hilted Sword (AC Unity)
11. Serrated Kukri (AC Syndicate)
12. Gudbrand Sword (AC Origins)
13. Pandora’s Kopis (AC Odyssey)
14. Varin’s Axe Fully Upgraded (AC Valhalla)
Those are MY favorites
My favorite weapon in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is excalibur it's so cool and pretty powerful too
as animações do ezio com a espada de Vlad, lembra da finalização (no que pudemos ver em reviews de que quem jogou A. C mirage) parecidas
the fact that you didn't choose the cotton swab in ac origins is a crime...
😭😭
I'm sure the favorite weapon from AC Valhalla for players is the Gae Bolg spear from Wrath of the Druids DLC.
I really like the Heavy Falchion in Unity
Most people criticize Valhalla but OGs remember what the game was before the DLC and patches, it was a much better game which did a lot for the lore of the series. Either way the best weapon in Valhalla is 2 weld spears, like BY FAR i used gunngnir and gae bolg and haven’t died a single time in game in combat since 2021
Impales just as his master 5:55
Im surprised the dlc didn't get honorable mentions
i think that in brotherood the hidden gun o the crossbow were one of the most broken weapons in all assassin's creeds, 1hko
Connor’s Tomahawk is the best because you’re basically killing people with the AC Logo 😂
My favorite is the katana in Unity
I dont much enjoy Valhalla, but deal wielding Gungnir and Gae Bolg should be illegal being so OP
Altair’s sword ruled the ezio trilogy
Except for revelations
Yusuf’s sword didn’t deserve to be the most iconic imo
Which one is your favorite out of all of them?
Mine favorite weapon in unity is katana, I think it fits arno
How does a Japanese weapon fit a Frenchman lol
@JackycakesV2 just a choice, u can give him a rapier also if u like
@@abhishekroy7722 I just use the sword of Eden/ eagle of suger. Other than that I used arnos sword
Brotherhood: OP Crossbow
thats very unpopular opinion i think but best weapon in ac unity for me was ceremonial partisan (spear) it had very fun combat and best animations
I just rilized you left out revilations 😂
4:45 ???
@@TheHiddenOne690ok i see where i got confused i didn't see when it switched from brotherhood to revelations
bro really left out one of the most insane weapons in AC's history because it's from a game he never touches
(the dragoon blunderbus from the AC IV DLC freedom cry.. that thing is comicly broken xD)
(also the golden machete in that game has what i feel like are the best finishers in AC IV)
Ac 1 is the trowing knife blade
The hidden blade is the best weapon in ac 1 bc it kills everyone in one counterattack
Vlad Tepes's sword doesn't have any resemblance to the kilij. Sorry.
Brotherhood should've been the crossbow
I still don't understand where that Armor of Altaïr came from, i can't imagine Altaïr wearing such overly ornate outfit
Altair crafted the armour with the help of the apple. He was sort of instructed by the apple to do so too. The reason the armour is so ornate is because it was meant for Ezio even though Altair crafted and used it. It's basically what ensures Ezio survives being stabbed by Rodrigo Borgia allowing him to view the message left for Desmond at the end of AC 2. It's basically an elaborate plan by the Isu that developed over a long period of time.
The more and more I see "insert gods weapon here" in the comments and what they all do. The more I feel like the rpgs really ran out of any shred of realistic depictions of history with minor alien influence. And went just full on god of war rip off instead
I always use the hidden blade, I play as an assassin after all
I use hidden blades mostly on air assassination, killing an enemy while hiding in the bushes & haystacks. for combats, sword & guns are the weapons I use
yeah but mjolner has such bad range its sometimes hard to hit enemy, thats why i prefer excalibur
The best weapon in origins has to be the swordfish
My favorite unity weapon is the katana for sure it justs fits arno so well
My personal favorite weapon in Odyssey is Poseidon’s Trident, mainly because it’s super useful how it allows you to breath underwater, but also because it looks cool and is, well, Poseidon’s Trident
Where is the broom?
Bro I literally went through Rouge whith the katana and nothing else
I did too for most of my play through cuz combat in the older games didn’t really require you to have to beat weapons
I'm using Alexandria's light in origins. Sets guys on fire. Then Poseidon's Trident. Poisons enemies
Shay had a grenade launcher
Glad the hidden blade got some love - one of the most iconic weapons in gaming !
Why do so many videos for this franchise skip over liberation? It's part of the series you know
I like how Vlad the impalers skull had vampire fangs
Connors Tomahawk is my favourite weapon in any game still.
The dart rifle is the best weapon in the series idc what anyone says
I like the sword of Eden but despite that, my favorite is the phantom blade
My favorite brotherhood weapon is the archery of your other assassins that you can call in and wipe out everyone
No? The best ac 3 weapon is George Washington's sword?
Early Gang
Assassins Gang
man you just reminded me of how terrible the assassination of Julius Ceasar was handled in Origins... like everything else in that game
Caesar assassination aside, most people liked that game.
Interesting that AC explored the 3 most known mythologies with their recent titles. Egyptian, greek and norse. At this point they should include blades of chaos
Odyssey is literally just diet god of war.
@@Nightxx9199 true. Worst fusion of god of war and shadow of middle earth and witcher. Some frankenstein. Couldnt get past 20hrs of playtime
@@Elbasilius It gets boring very quickly because they tried to fire everywhere in hopes of hitting something. And instead missed everything
@@Nightxx9199 somehow origins and even valhalla worked for me. Im 120 hrs in valhalla and at this poing im just playing to finish the story lol but it was at least fun some lf it.
Odyssey was horrible. Just the lack of any fundametal aspect of AC series in an AC game, long boring cringy dialoiges and long ass side missions. I hope mirage moves away from this
@@Elbasilius Same. I hope the rumors of code name red being the final rpg one is true
I was expecting you to pick Charlemagne’s sword from the Paris DLC since it’s an real sword
"Actual" sword. Bruh the legend is borderline fan fiction because there's no way in hell that some knight is capable of fucking 300 people in one night.
