Just a couple of FYI's; be of those white ceramics might be Milk Glass, another specific type of glass like Depression Glass. The china is a dinner plate and salad plate. The company, which is very well known for its fine China and giftware, is pronounced nor-i-takee The second syllable should be characterized as a schwa e, but that accent mark isn't on my keyboard. Once upon a time couples would pick sets of China, crystal and silver and then register their choices at a prominent store so that those who've been invited can purchase something as their wedding present. This was in the good old days of registering possibilities instead of sending out demands for monetary gifts and expecting guests to pay for their dinner. I never thought that I would be of a generation that could feel things were done better in "my day." 😒 That is a wonderful birthday advent box, even better than the first one.
I had an advent calendar activity you could do. Get your husband or mother to select 12 boxes from behind you and they can wrap them and put a number on them and you get to open them up in order. This way you won’t know which box you are opening.

There is another cool thing about those plate set from Japan-when you put the smaller one exactly centered on the bigger one and rotate the smaller one in a certain way ,the decor will look as it is only one plate 😊

I think the final item (the cloth circle) is an antimacassar. People used to drape them on the backs and arms of chairs to keep the fabric underneath from getting soiled. 😊

The orange thing would be so pretty hanging in a window with the sun. Also use salted butter in your butter bell and change the water daily. Your butter will stay fresher longer by doing both.

Personally, I think it looks a little too high quality to be Depression glass. The level of clarity and sparkle, the thickness, and the way the feet are made all make me thin this could either be Elegant Glass from the same era as Depression Glass, or something midcentury. ETA: Confirmed. It's Elegant glass in the Fostoria Baroque pattern.

The minute I saw the green dyed book, I'd be careful: some green dyes used before either 1940 or 1950, have arsenic in the dye.Especially if it's from Victorian times. Please get that checked out, so if you have to wear gloves when handling some green dyed items, the better for your health. Apparently arsenic doesn't degrade with time.

As someone who has had her share of etsy shops. And not the best success ( mostly from craft fairs). The whole start of this video made me tear up. I love seeing others store success and support and genuine excitement. So nuch work goes into those shops
tie a wide ribbon around the vase/cadnel holder to cover the fruit. A wide ribbon in a nice beige or mauve yolor would look really nice either in a bow on a fancy knot
She did an excellent job creating this box. If normally they ask what you like and even take half the attention, it’s a great deal. I loved those glasses, btw.

Ooh, I'm so loving the Noritake plates, they're very collectable and expensive, at least where I live. That's Noritake pattern 165. I collected one that had green flowers on the border but sold them along with my blue Wedgewood ashtrays that belonged to a grandparent I didn't really like 😂 Such a wonderful calendar! 🫶🏼 Happy Birthday 🎂🎉

In the early 90's, someone bought a painting at a flea market for $4 because they liked the frame. When they opened the back, they found one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence, which went on to sell for $2.4M at auction. So, it doesn't hurt to look! :)

Aww, the bell! My Mamaw used to collect bells too. She had a shelf of them. I'm lucky to have a couple of them after she passed in 2010. I miss her all the time.
For the little plate from day 13, I'd guess dessert or bread plate rather than saucer. In my, admittedly limited, observation, saucers tend to have a little indent to hold the cup and more of a curved shape to help contain spills.

Yes it was. The Etsy store owner knew what Ally’s social media presence is like. If she gets 50 purchases because of this unboxing, she’ll have an exceptional month. I still feel you’d get a pretty decent box if you decide to purchase one but I wouldn’t set your expectations too high.
Absolutely love this!! And yes, you can paint the whole outside of the candleholder. Use acrylic paint and the seal it with a gloss. It will be gorgeous!! Just match paint as close as you can to inside and paint the whole outside- don’t try to paint the fruit only 😊
You have me hooked 🪝 on Advent Calendars 😂 There is nothing in this package 📦 that I did not love ❤ Everything is absolutely beautiful 🎉 My first thought on the plate with apples was to put it on a stand or wall 😀 The crystal glasses 🥂 are stunning 😍 That bell 🔔 reminds me a saying, "everytime you hear a bell 🔔 it's an angel 😇 saying hello". The butter 🧈 dish ... I'm so jelly of it 😂 The other item with the fruit reminds me of something you would pop on the kitchen window 🪟 seal just to add a simple pop of color. The ornament was heavenly 😍 The tray makes me wonder If you could use a mixture of plain white toothpaste and baking powder to see if the if it might clean off the tarnishing off it. 🎉 If it does I bet it would look beautiful in silver, too. I'm wondering if you could roll up those beautiful napkins and put them in the swan as a table decoration and put one of the brass candles 🕯 on each side of them 😊 I personally would not want to ruin the pretty little basket. I would use a battery-operated can in it 😊 My biggest question is, did you smell the books? My first thought, when you tinged the glasses, was "ohh, that's real crystal." Tie a wide white ribbon around the fruit of the vase/candle holder. Or, just wrap a piece of ribbon and pin it in the back, so it can't be seen. Then it doesn't lose any value it may have as an antique.
Use the place mat and the big candle holder as the everyday centerpiece for the dinning room table. Black ends with the decor and ads a tiny bit of color. ❤

I use my Bundt cake pan to make chicken!! It’s a super great way to make chicken in the oven….you cover the middle with foil and sit the whole chicken on top of it and it allows it to get crispy all the way around!

I just bought a vintage butter bell today 😂 She completely nailed this box for you. I'm not going to lie but you with the crystal glasses made me extremely nervous 😂 You could tie a ribbon around the fruit on that candle holder, this way you wouldn't damage it but you could decorate it as the seasons/your tastes change. That silver tray would be beautiful to put perfumes on. I don't think I've seen you this happy over a box since the cute overload of the P. Louise advent calendar. Hello Alexandria. This is such a fantastic box. The amber glass jug you received is known as Carnival Glass. The amber & green glass were prizes at carnivals. My Grandparents had a lot of Carnival glass when I was a little girl in England. So excited for you & hubby. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿
I have an old plate I got at the antique store and it has cherries on it. I couldn’t bring myself to eat off of it, so I got this little metal thing that clips around the plate and lets you hang it up. So now it’s over my sink and it’s too cute.

A sponge would go well in the swan. You could attach the ornament to the pull chain on a ceiling fan. My grandmother collected bells too, i have several of them. This box was fantastic!!

For the fruit piece you want to cover can I suggest tying a ribbon or even a piece of burlap around it. You could choose whatever color works best for the room and not permanently affect the piece. Just an idea.
I would suggest maybe using a battery operated tea light in the swan and basket. It's a little safer (said by a very clumsy person who has lived with some very clumsy dogs) and you don't have to worry about the heat.
Day 9 @ 16:28 you could use it as a fan pull if you have ceiling fans! We have them everywhere in Florida, not sure if you have as many in KY but it immediately came to mind.

The champagne glasses look like Waterford crystal. My grandma collected Waterford and her collection was used constantly. Enjoy those glasses!

Ooh, I'm so loving the Noritake plates, they're very collectable and expensive, at least where I live. That's Noritake pattern 165. I collected one that had green flowers on the border but sold them along with my blue Wedgewood ashtrays that belonged to a grandparent I didn't really like 😂

I collect bells from family that pass and a bell that I have is that exact one. Part of my family is from Quebec and that's where that bell is from.

In the early 90's, someone bought a painting at a flea market for $4 because they liked the frame. When they opened the back, they found one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence, which went on to sell for $2.4M at auction. So, it doesn't hurt to look! :)

Aww, the bell! My Mamaw used to collect bells too. She had a shelf of them. I'm lucky to have a couple of them after she passed in 2010. I miss her all the time.
For the little plate from day 13, I'd guess dessert or bread plate rather than saucer.
In my, admittedly limited, observation, saucers tend to have a little indent to hold the cup and more of a curved shape to help contain spills.

You have me hooked 🪝 on Advent Calendars 😂 There is nothing in this package 📦 that I did not love ❤ Everything is absolutely beautiful 🎉 My first thought on the plate with apples was to put it on a stand or wall 😀 The crystal glasses 🥂 are stunning 😍 That bell 🔔 reminds me a saying, "everytime you hear a bell 🔔 it's an angel 😇 saying hello". The butter 🧈 dish ... I'm so jelly of it 😂 The other item with the fruit reminds me of something you would pop on the kitchen window 🪟 seal just to add a simple pop of color. The ornament was heavenly 😍 The tray makes me wonder If you could use a mixture of plain white toothpaste and baking powder to see if the if it might clean off the tarnishing off it. 🎉 If it does I bet it would look beautiful in silver, too. I'm wondering if you could roll up those beautiful napkins and put them in the swan as a table decoration and put one of the brass candles 🕯 on each side of them 😊 I personally would not want to ruin the pretty little basket. I would use a battery-operated can in it 😊 My biggest question is, did you smell the books? My first thought, when you tinged the glasses, was "ohh, that's real crystal."
Tie a wide white ribbon around the fruit of the vase/candle holder. Or, just wrap a piece of ribbon and pin it in the back, so it can't be seen. Then it doesn't lose any value it may have as an antique.
Use the place mat and the big candle holder as the everyday centerpiece for the dinning room table. Black ends with the decor and ads a tiny bit of color. ❤

I use my Bundt cake pan to make chicken!! It’s a super great way to make chicken in the oven….you cover the middle with foil and sit the whole chicken on top of it and it allows it to get crispy all the way around!

I just bought a vintage butter bell today 😂 She completely nailed this box for you. I'm not going to lie but you with the crystal glasses made me extremely nervous 😂 You could tie a ribbon around the fruit on that candle holder, this way you wouldn't damage it but you could decorate it as the seasons/your tastes change. That silver tray would be beautiful to put perfumes on. I don't think I've seen you this happy over a box since the cute overload of the P. Louise advent calendar. I have an old plate I got at the antique store and it has cherries on it. I couldn’t bring myself to eat off of it, so I got this little metal thing that clips around the plate and lets you hang it up. So now it’s over my sink and it’s too cute.

A sponge would go well in the swan. You could attach the ornament to the pull chain on a ceiling fan. My grandmother collected bells too, i have several of them. This box was fantastic!!

For the fruit piece you want to cover can I suggest tying a ribbon or even a piece of burlap around it. You could choose whatever color works best for the room and not permanently affect the piece. Just an idea.
I would suggest maybe using a battery operated tea light in the swan and basket. It's a little safer (said by a very clumsy person who has lived with some very clumsy dogs) and you don't have to worry about the heat.
Get some wide hessian ribbon for the candle holder to wrap around and cover the fruits, a cute bow would look lovely
