I’d have to disagree with Halo 5’s grind. The Achilles grind increased the number of drawn out farming sessions in Warzone. The 152 grind only grants you an emblem (regardless of how badass that emblem is). It took Halo Infinite’s Watchdog coating to make the 152 grind worth it. Just my opinion though. As much as I love Halo 5 and have both Achilles and 152 myself, I think you’re the first one to say the Halo 5 grind was well-implemented.
I hope that, if they go the coating route, they at least make them customizable (where you can select what colour goes where in the "coating wheel") along with what pattern/texture you want; there are so many coatings that look nice in one spot but get totally demolished by another part of it, to the point where it ruins the whole look of the coating I also hope they fix the crouch & strafe spam, at times it's hard to win 1:1 gunfights (I'm on PC) when a controller user can spam strafe/crouch and has aim assist helping him stay on target while doing that - there's only so much you can do to "get gud" without buying a controller yourself lol Edit: I also hope they tone down SBMM significantly, I'm also Hero rank and get put with shitters that have more matches than I do and play WORSE than I do; there's also no reason for the game to put people that just started playing in the same lobby as Onyx/Hero ranks, it feels like the game forces you to babysit these absolute morons, idk where they come from but they really don't know how to play games period
Yeah there’s a lot that can be improved for the next halo or even this halo! Rumble pit has a different level of SBMM compared to the rest of the game and it shows with how easy the lobbies can be. Definitely agree with you on the coatings!
