Yep, the humidity is definitely a constant. I’m a local, and during the monsoons, before and after the rain, the humidity is so thick it sometimes feel like you are drowning, and that’s why you see local malls everywhere…BECAUSE it’s air conditioned … which explains why shopping culture continues to thrive here.

I agree with everything you said in this video. But I recommend using ATM’s connected to banks. Not randoms on the streets. If you have any issues with your card being taken or not getting your money. It is the absolute biggest headache trying to get it taken care of. Where as one at banks someone can help right away if during banking hours. Or next day once they open. I prefer Thai bug repellent over US products. I swear their stuff works way better than anything from the states. Your video is full of extremely useful info that definitely needs if you have no idea what to expect.
Bangkok has 3 seasons, my friend 😁 Walking inside this temple you're filming, the emerald Buddha in a Chapel has 3 costumes of each season and the only one who can change the costume is the King, FYI.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. I was in Phuket in 2019 and stood 4 months. I never had problems with mosquitos. Is this a Bangkok thing? Or does it depend on the month of the year? Phuket I was from December to April.
Hi When i went to Kuala Lumpur ive used Touch N go card (rapid pass) for Public Transportation. do they have something similar to use and whats the name of it ? Thank you
Great video. Can you (or someone else) advise me on what I should wear instead of jeans/denim capris (which I normally wear in hot weather). It's winter here in So CA and hard to locate summer clothing. Trying to figure out my options? Not used to humidity so it'll be an adventure.
14:55 TBH the ice is varied. The cube one normally fine but the crushed one are quite varied. Depends on how good they transport and produce it. But you're not gonna have choice to chose when you got the ice from street vendors.
Thanks for the great video. I am going there with my brother since he is going back for more dental work there which is 1/5th what it is in the USA. Your video is a great help on the city while he is getting his teeth worked on. Thanks!
Good video as usual. Some additional points from my experience: 1. Sadly, there is no longer a "cool season" in Bangkok, as of the past 4-5 years...it's really showing the effects of global warming. I lived there from 2002-2008 (and I travel there every Dec. now), and yes, the weather used to "dip" into the low 20s in December....but no more. Or only VERY rarely. 2. Anyone who knows better only takes those motorcycle taxis when absolutely necessary...those drivers drive like maniacs, and many of them are drunk and/or high on methamphetamine while working. Trust me on this.
Global warming really? it's now climate change to be more specific man-made climate change. Used to be acid rain then the ozone layer before that it was the coming of the ice age again blah blah blah BS hahaha kidding 😀 stay safe 😀
1. Sadly there are still no animal rights in Thailand; (baby)elephants are still abused and broken for the tourism and entertainment industry. Its legal!! The weather dips? My hope dips!!!!!
@@YellowProductions I'm here in Bangkok and so far your videos have been very helpful and accurate. Specially the one with the scams, just like you mentioned with taxis, I have to tell them to turn on the meter constantly. I did "fall" for one with a tuk tuk driver trying to negotiate a price over a semi long distance (siu 11 sukhumvit to golden palace) He offered an option to go to a port and take a boat instead, clearly beneficial for him. Same with the food they give you to feed animals. The difference is here everything its so cheap compared to other cities that it was sort of fun and and not as bad. Thanks again!

Hey, thanks for the video. Here in Brazil, more specifically in northeast part like Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Alagoas, we do have motorcycle taxis, it's also more common in small cities here in the northeast part... and also I think there's a lot of countries in Asia that have motorcycle taxis, like Vietnam, Indonesia, Camboja, Malaysia... it's actually very common and practical for them. :)
These are some really good things to know! I can sweat very easily in humid climates, so I probably would be doing the same thing by wiping my face with a towel. Paying 10% of bill for using a credit card in Thailand is almost as bad as the American tipping system ( in lieu of actually paying a decent liveable minimum wage ).
Excellent video. My only comment is you should have emphasised more the bit about being respectful towards the Royal Family. It is very serious and you just don't expect it to happen. While I was there the airport got blockaded by some protestors because a tourist with mental problems did something to insult the King and the court convicted her and sentenced her to deportation back to her homeland. The protestors were upset that she was being sent home rather than sent to prison so they blocked the airport so she couldn't go home. That's just crazy. Don't insult the Royals! Ever!
