Unlike many films set in the future, this holds up well.
The themes of isolation, dehumanization, Big Brotherism and a cold, barren, joyless existence ring true even now
One of the best movies of all times and very underrated
I love the work of Lucas with the cinematography and the work of Lalo Schifrin with the soundtrack
MASTERPIECE
genius film.
Excellent film choice !
Great edit.
I believe Murch or Schiffrin sped up the Bach version to fit the mood of this film. Genius.
Ironic the UA-cam algo couldn't figure out it's Bach and credited "The Golem Anomoly [sic]" with the music.
Очень похоже на наступающую реальность.
Она уже наступила благодаря дяденькам-капиталистам, просто мы этого не замечаем, либо намеренно, либо неосознанно.
In general, I don't like remakes, but for this, and Soylent Green, I'd make exceptions
Who would star?
Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater surely…
Thank you, I’ve been trying to find for a whole year now
First part is Stabat Mater, second part is Matthauspassion but it is not the original motion picture soundtrack version.
Jenial ese video es muy bueno es muy interesante
Genial*
Are you now or have you ever been?
Move slowly.
"Qual é o nome desse filme ?
O mito da caverna ?"
THX 1138.
The Mith of the cave is a platon story

Classic FM brought me there. They played a song, and I remembered hearing it in a film before. The clips are from the version with the added CGI, which are so obvious and spoil the original. However, that's George Lucas for you. Forever tinkering with something, that was good first time around.
I agree... and so far cannot find the original version streamed anywhere. I do have a DVD but resolution isn't what it is on, say, BluRay.
I for one think this theme coulda been a lot more boring, like is that the most boring they came up with..?
How to destroy Bach.
Shut up
I respectfully disagree.
However, I grant that the genius of Bach could never survive in the world of THX 1138
Cry harder
Can’t believe I’ve still never seen this film
That's incredible. Next time eh?
@@Johnconno still haven’t seen it 😂
