Raga Megh - Parveen Sultana - Tabla Ustad Faiyaz Khan

Presenting a video clip of Begum Parveen Sultana (1954-) performing Raag Megh accompanied by tabla maestro Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Ustad Mehmood Dholpuri on the harmonium. Parveen Sultana is amongst the most iconic vocalists of Hindustani classical music, having associations with the Kirana and Patiala gharana. She is highly influenced by Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Parveen Sultana also entered the foray of Bollywood by lending her voice for films such as Pakeezah, Kudrat and Razia Sultan. Her song 'Humein Tum Se Pyaar Kitna' for the film Kudrat was extremely popular.
