I’m watching this right now. So excited. Your absolutely right. Apple needs to add more sounds. I would like an 80s Hair Metal Sound Pack (with Loops ie. drums, Guitars and Bass Inspired by Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Queensrÿche, Winger, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, RATT, STRYPER, Great White, Slaughter etc.
I'd like them to move away from synth instruments (loops don't bother me) as I feel there's enough for now, although you can never have enough. I'd like a more orchestral or guitar based packs as those are limited for what I need, especially orchestral. Brass too. Also a quick FYI but Cubasis 3 is currently half price if anyone sees this and is interested. Picked it up last night and I'm glad I waited for a sale.
Hi Patrick, new to GarageBand on iOS loving all the videos ! I’m looking for the Kount pack and also the artist and producers section in the sound library but they are not showing ?? I’ve limited packs which just look like the Apple ones ? Any ideas ? Thanks in advance
I wish you could download this stuff on GarageBand mac. Not sure why they lock this only to iOS. Of course you can get the sound you want in a project and then transfer that project to the mac version, but it’s still a little annoying inconvenience.
@@TheGaragebandGuide I am using an older version of GarageBand on my mac (since my MacBook is old). Maybe there is that same menu on the new GarageBand mac version.
It is always a delicious treat to watch any of your videos ! You pack in so much instruction, education, and demonstration into such an appropriately condensed package for the average viewer! Thank you, sir! 🥹
I need some help here - First, I’ve learned EVERYTHING about GB for iPad from your videos 👍🏼kudos! Now, I am a fledgling audiobook narrator. I’m wondering. Can I record a ten chapter book on GB for iPad/iPhone and put the separate chapter recordings in as tracks in ONE file (as long as I label each track - chapter one, two, etc) and send the whole file to ACX, or do I need to send them 10 (TEN) separate files? It may sound dumb, but I’m no genius!! I eagerly await your response! (-:
This might be unrelated to the current topic at hand, but I just wanted to ask you a question, please... I would like to hook up and use my XLR mic to my iPad, and I have a 48v phantom power.... Interface, I guess it's called. And with it, I hook up my mic with the female to male XLR cord in one slot and the other slot is for the other cord to go to my iPad, but it's a xlr to 3.5mm.... Is that going to be ok? Will it break, or damage, either device? Cos' when searching, I can only find information on using some kind of adapter for/from the iPad. To utilize usb c, or lightning cord. But my cord is for 3.5mm.... Do I just plug it in to, like... The headphone slot on my iPad? (3.5mm)?
Oh..... Okay....... Thanks anyway. Just thought I would ask. Sorry. I'll find someone else who knows about GarageBand and iPad.... My apologies, Patrick.. Didn't mean to bother you
While there’s a lot of cool sounds at our disposal in these packs, there’s also a whole lot of sounds I would never use that (IMO) sound pretty awful but I’m also including many of the stock GB instrument sounds in my assessment. It’s great that saving the sounds you do like is doable, for easy access.
I just made a Slapper with my phone last night. It’s the only time I use loops. Got me like damn are my phone beats better than my beats my from scratch on Reasons?? 💯🤣💯
@@TheGaragebandGuide you’ve actually inspired me to boot up GarageBand (not garageband) and have a mess around with some of the samples and ting. Aye 👍🏼
These have been available for a while now. There's some cool stuff in there. Even though there are some sounds I would never use, you do have a few options to tweak them! Although, I have found that some of these sounds do open my mind to compose music that I normally wouldn't compose. Tons of fun!!
Hello Patrick, Hope you are doing just fine! I have created a new song by myself. Wondering if you could just add a nice drum beat to it :-). I don't know if I am entitled to share the link here. Hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards ... as usual always following you :-) Dirk
To hell with new sounds. Upgrade the edit screen, make us able to add our own drums to recall, make it easier to edit and chop samples. To hell with these old packs.
Fuck sake Patrick, for a minute I thought some new packs had dropped. 😂😂😂
same!
Same

Yeah Apple definitely needs to diversify its sound packs offerings!
Seconded. I just want to write a good metal track on GB without a guitar lol
Yeah! The rock guitars are dope for trap/rap/hip hop too!
Me too! It’s just too much work to find that 80s glam rock drums or power chord guitar sounds...C’mon Apple..pour some sugar on me!
I think we need WAY MORE guitar sounds
Definitely!
Yeahh! 🫠
More Xylophones and better violin too 😔
It is good but it needs more diverse sounds because it seems to only focus on one genre. I would like a metal sound pack.
Me too! 🤘

The guitar sounds in GarageBand haven’t been touched since launch and are starting to sound VERY old fashioned also.
Definitely could use some better brass- found some on the auv3 octane
@@datrickster4203 I'll have to check Octane out. Cheers.
Can we add new sounds using SAMPLER option in Keyboard??
.
How to get samples for ipad version?? I wanna variety of trumpets, cellos ..!!

Thanks. Was looking for this.

@@user-nj6bt5gy4s the menu isn’t the same in Mac, the sounds are added to the existing Loop Browser and Library.

Hi Patrick...are the packs available in GB Mac or only for iOS? Thank you for your videos!
Most of them are. Apple tend to release them on Mac in one big update as opposed to the individual pack drops that arrive on iOS.

Has Apple never heard of jazz? And, by that, I mean Miles Davis, John Coltrane, et al, not "smooth jazz" or R&B.
apparently NOT!
