I am in love. Slater is so adorable.
You may consider just feeding freeze-dried and just add water. I feed my Cavaliers raw. You are already feeding a lot of fresh items and freeze-dried foods. Just go with freeze-dried. You’ll find his poops a lot smaller and firmer because he is digesting more of the food. Just a thought.
Open farm has some great kibble options! Acana, Orijen and Purina don’t have the best ingredients at all, and they’re all cooked multiple times at a really high temp which kills a lot of the nutrients. You could look into freeze dried raw too, or gently cooked food. Sundays food for dogs has great ingredients too!
I just love your life! It’s so wholesome and organized! I am planning on getting a Cavalier, so if you see this, please offer some info that most breeders don’t share. Thanks from Mckinney Texas.

Such a happy dog (now hes a dog but ill still csll him a puppy). Love tbe chalkboard wall to keep track of things! Im so envious of you having a caviler! Being 62 (senior. Hate that word. Old fart is ok. Go figure) and having a beatup body ive decided small dogs are ok now. They have to really work hard to knock me over. I love big dogs/bigger dogs, but ill play with any dog. Even pittys. Not my fave dog. I just dont see the draw to them same for the hairless dogs.

Thank you! I used crate training and if you have a boy you can also purchase belly bands so they wont mark around your house when they get older.
Can you share the listing for the travel bag?
When ever we give our dogs pumpkin they get loose stool so maybe you could try taking him off the pumpkin for a while and see if he does better?
I tried that but it pumpkin helped slightly. With his current raw diet his stools are better than ever haha

@@SydneyFrancia thanks!! Is it the smallest one? Do you think it’s still a good fit 6 months in? I was considering this one or a larger one so my puppy has room to grow in it.
@@shelbyatwell I'm not sure if it's the "smallest" one but pretty roomy for your pup to play in. Just keep in mind that your pup might gain the confidence to jump over it when they are older! So maybe consider getting a playpen that's taller and more sturdy.
Are you planning to neuter him and when? My breeder says to do it around 6 months but I'm not entirely sure
I'm going to wait until he is a full adult (18 months) for his growth plates to fully close.
How did you get him to stop barking as a puppy? (:
Cavaliers in general are not barky dogs. I’ve owned them for 20’years and and never been an issue

This video was when he was six months old. Now he goes on walks every day and plays with his big sister :)

Negative, he lives with me. It’s a downstairs apartment where I live. Slater has play areas in both units but now free ranges and sleeps wherever he wants since he’s older and more mature :)
