Glacier graph almost completely resembles that of moondrop variations...no wonder variations stands high in Crin's list....
Indeed, both the Glacier and the Moondrop Variations are exceptional reference IEMs.
Excellent video! Thank you for all of the detailed analysis. The Monarch Mach II and Glacier both seem fantastic.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Good works 👍 So glacier is comparable to Diva?
Thank you! Yes, I have a video coming up comparing the Glacier and the Diva. If you have any questions about either IEM, let me know.
Very interesting comparison. I think you'd prefer the Prestige LTD more. The low end it's tuned smoother and overall cleaner and more detailed. Mids are more refined same with treble being smoother and refined. Staging is also larger and sense of depth is improved. Overall great video 😁. But yes, Prestige LTD is what the OG Prestige should have been. So so so much better
Thanks for tuning in! I compared it to the Prestige because that's what I own, but based on your feedback and that of others, it seems like the LTD really steps it up with superior tuning compared to the original.
@@Atechreviews It's much better tuning. The OG Prestige is decent. But I'd rather take the Monarch MK3 over it for less. The Prestige LTD though, truly a special iem 😊
Yes do sound demos please
OK.
According to you, which is the a better Iem than Sennheiser IE900? Is it Thieaudio Prestige or something even better?
Will you review the Moondrop Blessing 3 ? or what are your thoughts about it ?
Which version of the Blessing 3 are you referring to? The original or the Dusk? I actually had the original Blessing 3 some time ago, so I could definitely review it if people are interested. The original Blessing 3 has pretty good dynamic bass, but it's a bit on the low side in terms of quantity. This can make some male vocals sound a bit thin and occasionally a touch shouty. The mid-bass and lower mid-range are a bit recessed too. But, the good news is that all of these things can be easily fixed with some EQ. On the flip side, female vocals sound really great and detailed. Plus, it's got excellent technical performance and instrument separation, even better than the Blessing 2 and the Kato in those areas.
@@Atechreviews yup, the Blessing 3 regular, thank you for sharing your impressions 👌
@@ANOLE_VX You're welcome.
Why it wasn't against Prestige LTD? I am actually looking to buy LTD but after listening to you.. glacier is GOOD for me. If you have something to say with LTD vs Glacier, do share.
I don't have the Prestige LTD, so I can't offer a direct comparison. The Glacier is highly regarded, but opinions on the Prestige LTD are also very positive.
I haven't heard the Glacier. But I can say the Prestige LTD is much better compared to the OG Prestige. The LTD has a more refined low end where the sub bass shines but mid bass is toned down a bit. This gives the low end a cleaner character and lets detail come through. It's also more detailed and better separated. Mids come through more cleanly and upper mids shine just a touch more while being more refined and detailed. Treble is also better refined and detailed but also toned down a bit so it's overall smoother and more controlled. Staging is also improved and sense of air is much better. I personally find the Prestige LTD as endgame
Hello, how are these compared to Elysian Diva?
I made a video comparing the DIVA and Glacier. The Prestige has been upgraded to the Prestige LTD, but based on the original Prestige, I'd say it has significantly more bass. However, I would choose the DIVA over the Prestige. The DIVA offers much better sound quality, details, and vocals, without ever sounding harsh. While the Glacier is the king of detail, the DIVA has better vocals.
@@Atechreviews thank you, Diva on its way😁😁
Sound demos !
Alright, let's see.
6 , 8 & 14 Khz are too elevated in Glacier
My measurements haven't shown the 6 kHz, 8 kHz, or 14 kHz peaks to be elevated, but they appear that way in other measurements, which could be valid. I agree with you that the 6 kHz peak is almost on the edge of being too much, but it's never harsh when listening. The 8 kHz peak is likely a measurement artifact, and the 14 kHz peak is comparable to other IEMs and depends on sound preference.
I have heard that these elevated frequencies contribute to the Glacier's wide soundstage, but I can't confirm this. Happy listening!
No way! Have you heard them? You definitely don’t hear peaks
@@shaunbrady15 I haven't hear it but I have icy tuned iems.If you like it good for you for me the goal in a tuning is when a iem is warm and technically capable at the same time but this is a difficult bet
@@shaunbrady15 I completely agree; I didn't detect any peaks on the Glacier. It's exceptionally well-tuned. The electrostatic drivers are of high quality, rivaling the best I've heard, such as those in the Elysian Annihilator 2023. The sound is incredibly detailed yet never harsh, not even once. Of course, I understand that preferences can be subjective.
@@anatol1204 Absolutely! It's important to remember that we all have subjective preferences, and the beauty of this hobby is finding what sound signature makes you happy.
Have you come across any high-end IEMs that strike that balance between warmth and technical capability? It's definitely a rare find. I do know that the Falcon Ultra is achieves that delicate balance.
Happy listening!
This comparison is meaningless because the LTD exist and it addressed all of the wank of the OG prestige
The Thieaudio Prestige LTD isn't replacing the original Prestige-it's still available at the same price of the LTD and definitely not discontinued! The LTD just offers a different tuning for a studio monitor-like sound signature. There are still plenty of people who own and enjoy the original Prestige.
@@Atechreviews it's not a different tuning, it is the same but the bass is more textured and refined, the crazy picks in the upper treble are tamed and that gives the LTD more air and the sound stage is a bit wider and a lot deeper than the Original, you are right that some people prefer the OG but they are in the overwhelming minority, the vast majority prefer the LTD, I was lucky enough to listen to both in Akihabara Tokyo and the difference is night and day. i'am currently saving up for the LTD. didn't listen to the glacier but most reviews say it's Harman and not technical enough when the Mirai exist, more technical and unique, not just the one in the mill Harman
@@nabilchaouli3489 Thanks for the additional insights! I'll admit that I haven't had the chance to listen to the LTD myself, but being told at an audio show that it's tuned differently and similar to the Monarch MKIII. I'll take your word for it, especially since you've listened to both versions.
My point is the video is perhaps not meaningless for those who already own the Prestige.
Regarding the Glacier, you're right, it's an enhanced Harman but I might add that is has more bass and exceptional technicalities, possibly competing with something like the Anole VX in level of detail.
Best of luck with saving up for the LTD, and I hope you enjoy it once you get your hands on it. Happy listening!
@@Atechreviews thank you sir
@@nabilchaouli3489 it is worth every cent.
You're going to need some special eye goggles because you'll come close to witnessing the birth of the universe.
Yes that's exactly how sublime the LTDs are when you first give them a listen
Or you can simply close your eyes and enjoy every moment.
You should have told the truth about prestige.
Could you please clarify what you mean?
I think this is the truth for prestige, not prestige ltd
@@SethiBybel Thanks! I probably should've highlighted that fact.
Thanks!
