I just saw him on January 8th and he was phenomenal. I was bummed to see that Tim Young was playing the role, but after "Just Another Day," I did not have any upset feeling. The entire cast was phenomenal...and Tim Young live is just hot and amazing! Next to Normal is THE show to see!!!!
I'm in live with Aaron tveits voice but Timothy is extremely talented and the G's are fine. It'd the quality of this recording cutting them out. So calm down people. Timothy, great job :)
I saw Tim Young as Gabe Tuesday, Oct 6. I was very impressed with his voice! This video does not do him justice!! As far as embodying Gabe, he definitely did a phenominal job doing it in the show!! I'm sure it's hard to go all out with character in a cabaret setting. Overall, a good job as Gabe! Was not disappointed!
Tim seems to have more of an innocence than Aaron (I haven't seen Kyle yet). Interesting. I would love to see Tim take on the role of Gabe. It'd be a different spin on such a fantastic character.
@jeremywilliams2010 He was flat and sharp a lot by the tiniest bit though, i cant imagine how he would sound doing the part while moving around on that stage. running and jumping around tends to make you slip a lot more.
It's not bad by any means.. it's actually really good.. especially for the firth two minutes. And from 2:28 - 2:36, it's really breath taking what he does with that note. But, it seems that after that, he kinda falls in love with his voice, and starts to get rocky and fall flat towards the end. Still, a really nice performance. I don't know if it's as good as Aaron or Kyle, but good nonetheless.
he's pretty awesome, it's just that AT makes this song seem effortless. And realistically it's probably because he's sung it a lot more than Tim has. I'd definitely be interested in seeing him, I've seen AT and KDM and they were both awesome...
Of course the real test of Gabe is how he looks without his shirt :-). Who knows if anyone could touch Aaron in that department. Any videos of Tim doing Henry?? I know Adam has a perfect attendance record but I think Tim might make a better Henry than Gabe...
he's not horrible.. but he just doesn't give off a gabe"ish" feel.. he would be a lot better as henry. he doesn't seem like he could give the creepy gabe stares and moves like Aaron and Kyle do.
I know ppl with disagree with me but , I think he sounded flat on some parts in addition to being flat. Might have just been me or it might have been the piano also.
Whew.... so... are all the G's gonna be flat and/or yelled? He doesn't even touch Aaron. Maybe his voice was tired. Idk, sometimes the people they cast surprise the hell out of me. Save yourself the trouble and just watch this.
Didn't like this that much if I'm honest, he can sing yes, but he's nowhere near as good as Aaron and he wasn't hitting the top notes very well in my opinion he seemed to be straining slightly...maybe it was just a bad day for him but I wasn't overly impressed

Agreed! I saw him Thursday. I went back Sunday and saw the full original cast and loved that - but I personally preferred how Tim portrays Gabe.

I saw Kyle and he was excellent. All 3 of these guys are perfect for the part. The show itself is amazing and I can't wait to see it again.

He's good. Younger sounding voice, maybe not as developed as Aaron Tveit. But I like him.

He must have been having an off day. He goes pretty flat once or twice... good voice though.
He sounds awesome but the pianist SUCKS. Didn't give him a chance to "lead" at all - he could never really get into the song!
