Great ideas. I have trouble picking fabric designs (patterns) for a quilt. I usually second guess myself and I really struggle after I've picked a pattern.
I love the Diamond Dust pattern, but I had such a difficult time squaring up the rectangles. Thanks for the encouragement, Fran! Maybe I need to try it again. The white with the Cat-i-tude paisleys is so pretty!
I have that book, but would never really consider making it...until now! I don't know if it is the fabric or just seeing it made up, but I love it. I have several books, and kits, but I am afraid of making mistakes when I cut so I've never made one. I know, right???
Been wanting to make Christmas Forest but am afraid the half rectangle might be a bit challenging. Thanks so much for your instruction. I’m going to attempt this!!!
You will not be able to make both the "A" and "C" half rectangles from the same fabric. You would need 2 yards of 2 of the fabrics fabric #2 and the fabric #1 (or #3 if that is your preference for the diamonds). - Fran
For the butterfly glamour I was thinking it would be nice to remove the gold fabric all together and use just black and butterfly fabric. I just might try that.
Like the pattern always nice to see how to make the blocks but when you said slant quarter stitch I don’t like patterns that call for slant hard for me to remember I do slant
I understand Mary. There are a few tools that can help keep a scant quarter inch. If they are not exactly a scant quarter inch that is fine, the important thing is that it is consistent throughout the quilt top.
I am getting ready to make this quilt and this tutorial was VERY helpful! Thank you!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful 🥰
One of the prettiest quilts I've seen. Carolyn
I love the black and gold kit and the Christmas tree kit. Okay, I like all the kits. 🤗
It's always hard to choose 😅
Great colour combination.
Thank you!
A beautiful design! Thank you
❤ Retro Patio!!!
Love the trees quilt
I'm going to try it. Thank you Fran and Fabric Café
Thank you, looks like some more fun is going to happen at my house!
🎉🎉
A new challenge. ✨️ 🩷🎵
Metallic fabrics are so stunning!
Thank you for the easy instructions. Beautiful design on all the quilts.
Thank you Karin! Glad to help!
Love the star in the center of the Diamond Dust pattern ❤
This does look fun!
I love the colors in the diamond dust quilt!
I really like this. I prefer quilts that are symmetrical.
Love the fabrics and patterns ❤
Some great choices there Fran. 🩷tyfs
Thanks!! Fun and brand new to me.❤

You make it look sew easy 😊

They can be difficult, and with our method the points may not always match perfectly every time - but once it is finished you won't be able to notice!
Thank you for showing how to do this. I have that book and have wanted to make it but was too worried about difficulty now I'm going to try it
Same here.
You can do it Rachel!
You can do it, too, Mary! 💛
I ve made the Diamond Dust pattern and have to say it was a challenge. My long arm quilter used rectangles all over the top. Backing is black.
In the butterfly glamour, is there a white that matches the black dot fabric by chance? That fabric is so cute with the butterflies and roses.
You can check out what we have in our Fabric by the Yard. You might find something that matches well and can swap it out when making the quilt 😊

You can do it, Anita!
For the diamond dust, is there enough fabric to have both the A & C make diamonds - I'm trying to picture them as a "plaid - checkerboard" on peach...

I'm sure that would also be stunning! 🤩
