Agree! This guy was clamoring for a role on the show almost from the beginning, even back when Elisabeth Shue and Thomas Ian Griffith were still publicly refusing to be on the show. The only thing that got them onboard was the show’s popularity, whereas Sean wanted to be a part of the show even when it wasn’t yet popular and critically acclaimed.
A spin off of him taking on Kenny as his 1 student similar to Johnny taking on Miguel would be phenomenal. They hinted at something with him and Kenny in the episode where Barnes was the unbiased judge for who makes and doesn’t make the cut for the Sekai Takai. I think we don’t see more of him, because his reasons to appear have to make sense and flow smoothly. Too much too soon, might overcrowd things. I really want to see a spin off of him taking Kenny under his wing and returning to his former glory, because that bucket list fight, he’s eluding to, didn’t go the way I believe it should have. Just my 2 cents.
Back story with a few serious mistakes, but having him be a bad guy, in his past, fucks his character up. No need for that. Look how bad Disney is screwing up Star Wars.
@@bendutchover1319 Please have faith in the creators. They haven’t let us down with creating this sequel series and it shows with how well received the series has been so far with us fans. I believe Miyagi’s legacy will be fine especially with the fact that Ralph is there and would want to honor Pat Morita. Disney could only wish it was successful with the fans with their sequel trilogy.
One spin off on want to see is where Tory finds the right mentor to get her on the right track of her goals in life. I think Julie Pierce is the right person for that role (it be like Daniel and Mr Miyagi son and father like, but with Tori and Julie as daughter and mother like, but they might have to create a follow from the story from the fourth movie, like Julie had a family but in she was serving in the military, but tragic stuck when she lost her daughter in a car accident or something, then Julie struggling with depression and been living more private since, but Julie puts her life back on track, by trying for someone with similar problems like Tory for instance, and both can work it out together!
Mike Barnes vs terry silver confirmed. As for spinoffs… definitely a young miyagi would be dope as long as they got the right actor that also has really good skills like kwon. But also want to see how Anthony plays out through high school. If not that then the core group in college could be dope
This is going on a tangent, but Neil Patrick Harris should get a cameo on Cobra Kai, since it was Barney Stinson who first put forth the idea that Daniel was the bully, and even cameo’d William Zabka in “How I Met Your Mother”. The very idea of Cobra Kai would not have gained traction without Barney Stinson. They should return the favour.
I wanted Neil Patrick Harris to have a cameo also. Obviously Hilary Swank is the main one fans are interested in. It would be nice also to have No More Kings be a band playing in some sort of dance or something. Also a reference to the Funny or Die skit of Wax On, F*** Off.
Ok got it. Mike, Snake, and Dennis, with funding from Terry Silver, set up a Fight Club style underground MMA under the furniture store, and train some of the world's baddest fighters. In exchange for the funding, the guys have to go on these crazy missions assigned by Silver to set up various shell corps for Dynatox in remote parts of the world, where they can also set up dojos. Their goal? Bad Boy MMA wants to dominate the Sekai Takai, go global, and rake in more cash. Maybe get JCVD and Segal in there as senseis.
he did the surgery 2 months after cobra kai was done filming there is no point for him to hide his appearance in both part 2 and 3. Sean is an amazing actor and Mike Barnes is a fan favourite character
I think by the looks of it they are probably going into a prequel, about mr Miyagi then panning over to young John Kreese and young Terry Silver. They look they have been introducing it over the last couple of seasons witu Kreese and Silver. The same thing happened when Hercules almost Finished its run then came the prequel. I never really liked prequels.
Kobra Kai is fantastic Karate Kid would do well with spinoff Quality stories Elizabeth Shue guest star ? Hooray if possible!😊 Raplh Macchio and her great work match
He still looks pretty good for a dude who is now pushing 60. William Zabka is only a year older than him, but looks much older. Even Ralph Macchio (who turns 63 this year) is showing his age a bit nowadays.
That’s really not fair to him. Sean Kanan has had a very successful acting career and has been working in soaps for many years now. (Indeed, his IMDB profile shows far more steady acting work than this show’s two stars.) He has no reason to want to play Mike Barnes again (which is probably a low-paid role compared to his day job), other than his love for the Myagi-verse and the legacy he was a part of. Also, in every interview I’ve seen with him, Sean comes across as a really intelligent, down-to-earth guy who is just very enthusiastic about being a part of this show. He doesn’t seem like a self-promoting egomaniac at all, if that’s what you’re implying. And it’s worth remembering that Sean wanted to be a part of this show from the beginning, unlike Thomas Ian Griffith and Elisabeth Shue, neither of whom wanted to appear on the show until AFTER it became so popular that they saw teenagers in their local malls rocking Cobra Kai hoodies.
Yea. He used to be a big fan of the karate kid movies when he was younger. He always wanted to act in them thats why he did mike barnes and thats also why he improvises his scenes because he wants to do a good job. Bro is actually a pr good actor. He just always loved the movies and the show lol@@BunyipDude
Honestly you can't help not love this dude and all his giddy enthusiasm you can tell he's genuinely a fan and truly feels honoured to be in the world

I want to see more of Sean in Kobra Kai. I don’t get why we’re not seeing more of him.
He could only film so much. He put off his surgery so they could film what they did
karate kid 3 wasnt exactly beloved, could be why
even though silver is a peak villain
There's so many characters now. I want more focus on Chozen. We all have our favourites.

@@bendutchover1319that would be dope
A mike barnes spin off sounds awesome. Would love a miyagi prequel though.
DAWG, a Miyagi prequel!!! This franchise needs to expand the same way Yellowstone did.
Kreese too
Rather see a Mike Barnes spin off then Kreese. I’m tired of Kreese.
Sean is an awesome actor☺
Need a spin off of a young miyagi during the war
I would love that
YES
I want a spinoff of a young Miyagi fr. I want to see his backstory so bad. Maybe if he was a bad guy at one point.
I definitely want that. Especially him competing in “that” tournament.

Huge fan of this actor since 1989 when I was 7.
Same age bro, the nostalgia man!
He was my favourite character in the Karate Kid movies.
@@H.K.5 same here!!
Y’all lucky being kids in the 80s I hate being a gen z
I was screaming my head off when Matt fought Johnny. 😂
Welcome back Mike "Bad Boy" Barnes".
Cobra Kai for president
Hell yeah! Who would say no to a spin off to cobra Kai.
Itz a good series 👌
80's movies are the best. They don't make great movies like 80's these days.

I’d totally watch a Mike Barnes spinoff to see how he got where he was.
Same

Their going to different colleges... Putting them all in the same college would be dumb and unrealistic.
@@RayRay002no it wouldn’t if done right

This guy is so down to earth
Cant wait for the other 2 parts. Part 1 I liked they brought back bad ass Mike Barnes lol
I wish he was in this show more. He’s been awesome 👏 he brings a different energy.
Johnny needs a spin off Hes rhe best on the show.
Yeah until Daniel showed up
Binary Bros Spin off
The whole show is basically Abt johnny. We have seen enough about johnny

Since Sam gained all that weight, they should end the series with Miguel getting Sam pregnant and doing a spin-off based on that.
I would watch it! Sam did gain a lot of weight doesn’t she have a thyroid problem or diabetes?
@@viciousninja7053yeah she does. She got Type 1 diabetes at 13 and has been wearing an insulin pump for nine years.
That would be a cool spin-off. Miyagi Do & Cobra Kai family combined.
Miyagi spinoff. Let's see him getting trained and learning the secrets to Miyagi Do.
I'd love to see Mike Barnes learn Miyagi Do and adapt some wood working techniques to training.
Deacon from bold and beautiful lol
I always liked this guy he’s a gamer for sure
A mike Barnes tv show would be awesome.
Spin off for the bad boy? Hell yeah!
Sean kanan, you are the shiznit! For shizzle my nizzle!
Cobra Kai is awesome. I loved them in the 80s and love them all now as an adult ❤I remember S.K. ❤
what a class act
I like to see Barnes and Lawrence start a dojo together or Barnes in a spin off with Stingray. Barnes and Stingray would be hilarious together.
Definitely needs spinoff
A spin off so cool but they should have offered more scenes and episodes to Sean kanan❤😊
They could make a show with just Johnny.
We will be watching!
❤ To Our Hometown Boy! New Castle PA
Sean does not age, what is with this cast? These guys don't age much...😃
Mark Barnes is a really good fighter. I would love to have them as my sensei because he would tell other schools your karate is a joke.
So has he confirmed that he will be in parts 2 and 3?
He literally has to be 💀
he did the surgery 2 months after cobra kai was done filming there is no point for him to hide his appearance in both part 2 and 3. Sean is an amazing actor and Mike Barnes is a fan favourite character
What could the Mike Barnes bucket list fight be? I’m wondering if he’s talking about Mike Barnes vs. Terry Silver sometime in season 6.
Barnes and Julie could teach the other sensei a thing or two for a season.
They should have a spin off where hawk becomes an mma fighter, personally Miguel/Robby wins sekai tai Kai but hawk becomes mma champ
Bucket list fight was between him and Johnny
I'd wanna know who trained Mike Barnes and see how he was such a powerful fighter
Great job Sean!
wat a lovely guy
I guess we found out who was on his bucket list!
