🏞HIKING CHINO HILLS STATE PARK, CALIFORNIA - NO CROWDS

We take a hike around the green hills of Chino Hills State Park in Southern California - with practically no one else in sight. This unique public resource is one of the last large protected parcels of natural open space remaining in the Los Angeles metropolitan region. We are catching it at the best time -- the short few weeks in early Spring where the hills are bright green after the winter rains and at the beginning of the growing season. I saw several red-tailed hawks circling above looking for their next prey, likely one of the abundant gophers or ground squirrels populating the grassland.
