just finished this series and I loved it, I took it as a light-hearted pretty fantasy drama without trying to look too much into it. it was very colourful, pretty and fun, it was a surface level drama. this is the kinda drama you wanna watch when you can't be bothered watching a drama drama.

I'm enjoying the drama so far. I actually like the colorfullness in the Heavenly Realm and the costume to jewelry is nice. The storyline is somewhat different where two main leads slowly falling in love while going through their love trials in the mortal realm. I actually kinda like the storyline.
The casting is okay not too bad. Actress Yang Chao Yue's acting is much better in this drama. She is improving as an actress.

Im sorry but after a year in kdramas and cdramas im totally in love with this one... Like i dont even care about the casting (exept for the elder bro of the ml -hes kinda weird to me-) and the script is getting so much better after those few first episodes. To be honest I started watching this drama bc I it was the only cdrama on a budget that I could find and didnt watch already, so I was like "okay imma suffer thru few episodes, if it wont get any better imma change the channel" but after 29 episodes I can tell you that this drama is better than Love Between Fairy and Devil, at least in my book it did waaaay better in going thru with the story giving few pieces along the way and if theyll keep it up till the end (I hated the end of LBFaD) I will be going back to this drama just to rewatch it over again.
And I dont agree with you on there being too much of colours, I loved the variety of different colours you can see on the main female.
Plus the said characters that are important to the story have so much more screen time and their own stories after those 14 episodes. There are 38 episodes packed and stacked with informations and everything if you would include everybodys stories they would have to make this cdrama over 50 episodes long. Characters get as much screen time as they are relevant to the story.

I agree with you on the color palette. it is a departure from the usual pastels that trend so much in this genre. I love it. I hope more dramas do this more often. I am done with pastels.
Suprisingly , even tho there's so many typical cringe scnes😅 , I could watch it till the end . That's saying a lot cause I could never finish c drama 😂. ❤😂 Love it . Ml is cute
As a huge fan of LBFAD myself, I'm still really enjoying Love You Seven Times. The concept is very novel - I mean, it has almost every single xianxia trope I love in there: soulmates, red thread of fate (!!), secret past relationship, mortal love tribulations, not-so-innocent Heavenly realm, not-so-evil Demon realm, etc. I really believe anyone who enjoyed LBFAD will be able to enjoy this drama. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Ding Yuxi is one of the prettiest men out there. I really hope he gets his breakout role soon - he deserves more success. His performance in Episode 12 was outstanding. I haven't heard of Yang Chaoyue before this drama but she seems to be doing just fine. They're both very pretty and the chemistry is great. Plus, obviously, the set design and costuming is amazing - as expected from Stellar.
I'm seeing and hearing a lot of critique for this show and some of it is valid. But I do believe that had this show been aired before LBFAD, it would've done a lot better. LBFAD has raised the standards for xianxia dramas (and we love that for the genre!) but we can't expect every new upcoming xianxia to live up to that hype.
I prefer this over love between fairy and devil. Really disliked how they adapted that story for the screen. (But what's with these titles)
I enjoyed it as well, only a few things bothered me. The monotone ruler! I get he's supposed to be in pain from the mark but he was monotone even before it, they definitely should've dubbed him. His villain origin story was also missing depth. I have to disagree with you on the chemistry, I found the leads just didn't have that very certain spark for a drama to be a hit as with LBFAD. Maybe it really was her acting 🤷♀️. Her portrayal of pain and sorrow just isn't there yet. Although, I do absolutely agree with you on the airing of the drama, if it was before or even 2-3 years after her sister drama, it could've done better. People definitely judged it harsher as LBFAD for comparison is still fresh in our minds. Ryan really is handsome, isn't he! Lol.
This is a very light drama so far. Lots of hilarious scenes. I'm liking it.
Love you Seven Times was really good! All actors did an amazing job and the two leads had a strong bond. Each series had important points and I was entertained the whole time. 👏 ❤
I literally just created an account so I could comment on this video and disagree with you. You can tell everyone who worked on this drama put a lot of effort into it. Especially Ding Yuxi was fantastic at every iteration of their lives, he had a new interpretation of the character. It was my first time watching him and I'm so impressed. Not to mention the scene you said youd be surprised anyone would have any emotion for (the death scene at the end of the second tribulation) was filmed painstakingly over 2 days. Ding Yuxi really brought me into that scene that could have come off boring, but his emotional investment was phenomenal. I'm so impressed.
You should watch this drama to the end if youre going to provide reviews like this, its really unfair to the staff who put in so much work and effort.
Sometimes we just need to sit down and enjoy the drama without sitting to criticize it or judge it from beforehand. Of course my comment is not directed to you, you are a critic but to anyone who's doubting, give this drama a chance. I absolutely loved it & personally enjoying it better than a lot of high rated dramas

The costumes and decorations and overall filming r just too pretty to skip.
I read the book and was disappointed with the amount of censorship in the drama but I'm invested in the drama as a separate story.
I feel that the actors and actresses in this drama except FL actually do really well. The FL is not actually bad, but she's only doing average at best. Her acting can use some improvements. Her acting cute is fine, but her sad and dignified acting needs more honing. Her emotions hardly conveyed to the audiences. I can hear her crying but I can't see the sadness in that face. You can see the difference between her and Ryan Ding or that Xing Zhi who even only with red eyes already enough to tell us what they're feeling deep in their hearts.
Guys if u haven't watched Mysterious Lotus Casebook then you are probably missing something...for me soo far the best drama of 2023
The actors were terrific in their respective roles, the plot specially the twists in the end were terrific and tge fight scenes OMG the main leads were soo good with wireworks🔥🔥

I cried so much when Yang Chao Yue's character died in their first life. But when they returned to heaven after, the emotion of their future deaths just disappeared. Why should I get sad when they are just going to come back? 😂
Mysterious Lotus Casebook was hands down the best drama of the year for me so far. I don't think I've been this obsessed since Word of Honor. Drama-wise, it was in fact better than WoH. And for a drama that is not written, produced or marketed as a danmei, it has a lot of "censored danmei" vibes... which for me is a good thing. And if you're not into that, this drama is simply a cracking banger of a drama that you will enjoy anyway. The humour, the characters, the acting, the pacing, the writiing, the plot... there are no draggy parts, it's just consistently exciting and good all the way to the end.
No way MLC is better than word of honor. Bfr 😂

Unpopular opinion: one should not have to get to ep 10 or 12 for a show to get good. If by ep 5-6 my attention is not grabbed, the story telling didn't do a good job.

I'm glad that a lot people here have watched the LYST and loved the drama. if you don't like it maybe the problem is you, maybe you just need to relax and enjoy the drama without the need to criticize or judge it.
But as a critic it's their job to analyse drama in professional view point and compared to original manga this story doesn't deliver much either.

Mysterious Lotus Casebook is great fun; Cheng Yi is wonderful as LL/LX and the fight scenes are pretty good. I watched every minute of Lost You Forever which is unusual for me - I didn't ff once. These two are the best dramas of the summer imo. Chinese audiences are not always fair; ep 30 of LYF was weak, and ep 36 was too much talk, but the other 37 eps made up for these weak spots.
YES TO THIS!!! Hands down I too would say Lost You Forever and Mysterious Lotus Casebook are the best/top 2 dramas this year in my book. Highly recommend them both and both shows should go down as one of the classics/top tier Cdramas
Exactly!!! These are the two that have had me RAPT. Other dramas like Legend of Anle just having nothing to compare to how much i enjoyed them. MLC was hilarious and the main trio are the most unlikely of friends going around solving cases like the scooby gang with Huli Jing. And lost you forever is so interesting, the fl is so likable and its not set in the clouds like other xianxias.
you could try Mysterious Lotus Casebook (Lian Hua Lou), I was impressed by everything, for me it's the best drama this summer (some BL hints, really interesting)
So far Mysterious lotus casebook is the only GOOD drama this summer imo! Good acting, good written charachters, good overall script it's really is the best one so far... I also heard that Lost you forever is good but i haven't watched it yet
I haven’t seen lotus casebook yet I might check it out. Love you Forever is slow paced but is well directed and dialogue is good. You can tell if you compare to other recently released shows how well this show is written and directed. The acting is good too.
I think MLC is best drama this year maybe gotta see what’s gonna happen and how good my journey to you and story of kunning palace is
😅 I remember one of your critiques of xianxia drama is that the gods should look differently at love than mortals ( which I agreed). The gods in this drama treated the love tribulations as a daytime soap or guilty pleasure and I see it as a refreshing take on this. The main people in these love tribulations treat it as chores they need to get it done, which is also a different take on it too. I am enjoying it and I think the FL actress is doing a fine job. What’s happening to them right now, seems to be out of hand. People should enjoy it for it is, a romance comedy full of tropes, and don’t expect a great masterpiece from it.
Its story as its own product is actually pretty solid (so far) and the character writing while deeply cliche isn't too bad. They didn't punch me in the face with exposition and terrible dialogue right out of the gate which murdered my enjoyment of Back From the Brink.
Something interesting is that while Avenue X seems adamant that the mortal tribulations don't matter in the building of the romance, its very obvious they do. The two leads weren't interested in each other prior to their second tribulation and then they started to kickstart their romance as their immortal selves. And also the drama does actually touch upon the complications of loving someone whose existance as an independent entity is questionable through mortal tribulations, such as with Xiangyun trying to parse out her feelings for Lu Changkong and how those should be applied to Chukong or completely cut off.
A romance comedy full of tropes can still be good with good productions and a good script.
Saying people should excuse a drama for being bad because it’s a romance comedy is literally looking on them as if they can’t have good writing and direction.
@@Qusland I am not saying this drama is bad, I think is pretty good and have a lot of entertaining moments. It's not the best and doesn't being anything new to the table expect may the gods’ attitude to the love trial. However, I have seen worse drama. I wouldn't defend or recommend it if I thought it was bad. It just seems people coming in with a bias (be it good or bad) and it would be disappointing.
I like this drama, i dont think dramas always have to be thsame way, this is a different twist the intrigue comes with a lighter mode, and its so relaxing, i think the leads are cool even the female lead, the drama relaxing and enjoyable...we shouldn't always expect everything to be explosive.

Why do people say the FM lead is bad at acting? She is a great job and so beautiful. Her beauty is beyond compare. She has the classic beauty with a mixture of youth, innocent, yet an aura of wealth and elegant. Are people jealous or something?

To be fair, she is pretty. She is actually one of the prettiest young actress nowadays. But her acting really do need more work. That scene when she lost her parents, as I watched it I can't help to compare her with Bai Lu when she also witnessed her father died. Also when the male lead died (well, not really), i can't see the desperation that should be there. When I watched that scene, can't help to compare it to Dylan Wang, too. In the end, her acting really do need more effort to improve. I believe she can do well in the future. She's still young and there're so many more projects ahead to hone her skill.

1/17: i finally watched until ep 23, its bad. Ding yuxi tried its almost so sad watching. I plan to finish it, but the face of fl is no expression almost dead.

I have now watched LY7T up to 28. I must say that the story improved after episode 20 so I am glad that I didn't give up. The story is more complicated then I originally thought so I am quite satisfied with the turn of events. For those who gave it up early, do give it another chance.

Have you watched Mysterious Lotus Casebook? I am very picky about dramas (since so many crappy ones get released each year), but this one is def one of the top tier ones in terms of writing, acting, everything.
I think Mysterious Lotus Casebook is the best so far this year and I am not even a fan of any of the 3 MLs, their rapport with each other was excellent. I sort of half agree with you on Love you 7 times. I loved the first life they had as a pig and tiger cub, it was so unexpected and cute so it got my hopes up. The second life was as expected but I did cry at the death scene. After that I watched Love between Fairy and Devil again for the third time. You are right about the casting and storyline of LY7T, they are a far cry from LBFAD. I have watched 18 episodes and if it keeps going with rinse and repeat lifetimes then I will give it up. I have given up on so many already because the FLs aren't cast right in my opinion. I didn't like the FL actresses in Unchained Love, Long Promise, Journey of Chongzi. You are also right about Simon Gong. He was great in Word of Honour but disappointing in everything I have seen him in since. Legend of Anle is also on my try to finish list.

I am a fan of the book. But I'm also a fan of the actor and actress. The drama is fun, fresh. It makes you laugh as well as cry. I understand that they need more "contents" to make the drama so of course they can't completely follow the story of the book. So instead of judging and hating, please enjoy the drama. It's pretty well made. Give yourself a chance to be happy, instead of being miserable because something isn't the way you expect it to be. I only came here to leave this comment, also give this video a thump down and I don't give a F* of what you have to say. Your opinion is not everyone, so save everybody some wasting and don't post this kind of negative content anymore. Something I don't think you touched on is that this drama will have to be VERY careful with its time distribution to even finish successfully. The first lifetime does have purpose in setting up the couple's symbolism of the pig and tiger, but its VERY short and its clear that the drama invested more time in the second and third lifetimes. So thats three lifetimes we're down to and its almost more than halfway through the drama, so we have 4 lifetimes left plus the heavenly realm's shenanigans. So while I've been enjoying my ride through this drama so far, to find out its only 38 eps has me a little worried ngl

I hated TTEOTM, and I hate this one too, probably because they can't live up to my expectation when reading the novel :(

@@port_bondadamor4637 uhh I haven’t watched that one actually. I usually don’t watch adapted drama if I haven’t read the novel. For TTEOM I just feel that the drama still falls short of the novel, it didn’t completely fail like LYST. Though what made me hate it the same is how so many scene in the novels get omitted, and how they decided to wrap up the ending.

I'm enjoying this, a lot of funny lines from support characters. If it the best out there, no however, sometimes one needs to not over think everything they see and just enjoy when they need to escape into fantasy.

I actually enjoyed the drama even though they changed A LOT from the novel. There are parts from the novel that I wished they kept in the drama. Both main leads got chemistry and FL is definitely better here than the previous drama where I've watched her. Atleast it was HE though.

I dont know why real actresses in cdramas are placed in supporting roles and those who are novice or still with awkward acting gets the lead which most of the time destroys the quality of the drama no matter how good the story is. In kdramas, the leads may look average sometimes but they make their roles as true to life and relatable as possible or simply good acting is always a prerequisite.
THE MOVIE IS A MASTERPIECE PERIOD!
I think this drama was supposed to be light unlike other historical dramas which is emotionally heavy and tragic in many parts.
I think the concept of Seven life times was good but choosing to do a drama from that novel was a bad idea. The novel itself was pretty simple and short. So, the drama lacks dept which makes it hard for the actors to act.
I would have personally preferred that they use the novel as a reference but create something new out of it. For e.g: More information on what happened in 30,000 years ago then have them reincarnate properly 7 times in a row while hidding their immortal status from is viewers. Then, letting us find out at the end when they have to fight the final boss that they were the war God and heavenly empress. Last, give us a happy ending with a proper marriage and them ruling heaven.

I see that people who read the story are very disappointed, and I hate when that happens. But as someone who didn't read it I am enjoying it.
I feel like we are watching the same drama, but two different adaptations because I have never disagreed with you more. First of all average? I'm not crushing on the secondary character men, but with the exception of her script writing best friend who isn't supposed to be hot,they are all incredibly good looking men. The first life as animals was a complete mistake, they tripped and fell. They both had their memories intact. The second life she wanted her memories because she thought he hates her and she wanted to be careful to not piss him off for when they got back to the heavens. But she did get caught up in her mortal life, she did get attached to everyone, and there were consequences when she went back to heaven. She fell in love with the mortal version of him and truly mourned the loss. Now in their third life she has no memories and he does. His plan was to be in control, and ooops he's falling for her. I'm sure the next life they'll both either drink the amnesia water and sparks will fly.
I actually like that they view the time in the mortal realm as a means to an end. Because the truth is that's what it is in most of the drama's that use that plot device. It's like if I played the Sims with someone and then held what happened in the game against them later on. It's not real life for them, they go to get power. I also liked the reveal that it may not be real, but their real personalities always shine through. So it's making the lead suspicious of his "friends". Which is a nice change. Instead of them being blind until they literally get stabbed in the back, the lead is seeing how their friends actually operates under pressure and it's making him reevaluate his friendships in his reality.
Is the drama flawed? Absolutely. The power exchange causing her a loss during the trials is a huge plot hole, and whoever added that (because I heard it was not in the "book") needs to be slapped because it's beyond dumb. Most of the drama is very light hearted, and there are so many funny moments. I am not a fan of the FL but she's doing a good job, and the ML is killing it as always. I also like the side characters. His shady best friend, the spoiled princess, the rock who actually has a personality and isn't totally naive, her teacher who won't tell her her origin story, her idiot bestie. I am curious to see what is really up with the bad guys and if the King of the heavens is actually shady. The coloring doesn't bother me. It's cartoonish, but so is the story. It's a turn brain off and enjoy a complete and utter fantasy drama.
I have the same viewpoint as u and I agree with all of your points. Definitely there are plot holes, and if it weren't for them, this would have easily been everyone's cup of tea, albeit the alterations. But I believe this is just mostly supposed to be a light-hearted show, as the original novel is, and we are to have fun along the way.
I feel like maybe ppl just like to join on the bandwagon but actually I went and read the novel, and I don't really mind the new scenes that they added. I feel like the drama gives more details, but the original cp's dynamic changed. However, in my opinion, the drama cp's dynamic is not bad tho. The characters are also acting accordingly to how their personalities are supposed to act like even if they were changed 🤷♀️ their personality is consistent throughout the story
i feel okie the drama is a fun watch, and i’m coming from a perspective of no bias for any actors and i actually dropped the novel almost immediately (didn’t enjoy it). drama adaptations aren’t always perfect, and the amount of criticism and hate this drama is getting feels unfair. i think you put it perfectly

Folks, the drama is amazing. It is very fun and great story. Yes, it is not exactly like the book but you have the benefits of both. Again, don’t be bias or listen to someone opinions.
guys, the drama is really really good. most of the negative and hateful comments you saw in socmed are usually from haters so don't judge the drama unless you watched more than ep 18 of the drama. Yang Chaoyue is good in this drama, her acting really improve so much, ding yuxi also did a very great job as always, and the chemistry is slaaaaying.🥰 if you like all angst you will surely enjoy this drama.
For my sanity I'll hold from watching this review since I'm loviiiiing this drama but easily swayed by opinions haha.

Probably first time I strongly disagree with you on your review. 😂 maybe going through a Xianxia drama without much assumptions would help you make your review slightly more balanced.
It indeed a lot of issue such but overall I find most life times well written, they are all unique in its nature and serves a purpose to move story forward. Something that was mentioned in 1st life become suddenly significant in later lives. There was little repetition and interesting supporting characters too.
Although the ending was a bit predictable, overall I really enjoyed it. ❤ people who enjoy Xianxia should give it a go!
I ABSOLUTELY love this drama. I read the novel Love You Seven Times so I already knew the plot somewhat and what to expect, but I adore the fact that they add new details and characters to the drama - makes it unique on its own. Fun to watch - despite some minor illogical details here and there. I laughed and cried so much.
I personally love this drama compared to "devil and fairy." "devil and fairy" failed in the action department. "love you seven times" succeed in the action department. I'm a hard-core wuxia and the fight scenes are to my standards. it also has more comedy. in other categories, I rate both dramas the same.
Oh my god, yes! I tried to give this drama a chance but the writing is just baffling. The contrast with Lost You Forever couldn't be more stark.
She really should stop acting 😅 or maybe train more and act as support role….
I can assure you that there are many like me who love this drama and how the actress acts, I understand that sometimes you don't like certain actors how they act, but you are not a professional director or actor to judge dramas or actors. And in tastes they break gender. So I don't agree with you
i'm currently chasing this drama. it's not good but it's not that bad. for me it's still watchable. it's just that the drama has no spark if that makes sense. watch this if you got too much time on your hands, because it's quite funny.
I lived in Thailand and have not heard any bad comment about this drama. Thought it just a light heart one. Imagine my surprise when I've read the news about the LIVE crying last night. After that I went to local FB group to see if there's any bad comment and found none. So I assumed the comment within China must be pretty bad. I pity both leads and the production team.

The MAIN reason I'm not watching this drama, is due to the FL Yang Chaoyue. I've seen drama's with her and she just isn't Actress material to me. She seems to fall short in her character, facial expressions .. pretty much everything. I don't' know if they are having her act with these more upper class actors to boost her reputation... but in order for that reputation to flourish ... she needs to show it with her choice of career and that's acting. Which in my personal opinion, she needs to return to the acting academy.
Plus I saw the trailer and that indeed showed that it would be a waste.... pretty sad.
I really don't know why she gets the principal role in many dramas because she is really a Bad actress and dosen't has any charming. Maby her agente is really god but to me , her only name in a drama meaning thats going to be a Bad drama

The novel for this drama is one of the sweetest, heightened emotions Xianxia novel you can read! It's a story that has a very comedic overall tone but will also hit you with gut-wrenching scenes. It's not tropey at all in fact it is almost sarcastic (makes fun of the tropes).
The drama is sadly disappointing, not to mention they changed so much. I urge everyone to please give the novel a try and not to let the drama ruin your perception of the original novel.
I agree the novel is one of my favorite novels, the first life of them in the novel it was very beautiful and set up for the rest of the novel, I cry so much and I laugh as well.
They always make changes from the novel to the drama in most novels, that is why they fail, because they change the order in how the writer wrote the novel, and if they change the essence at the end it won't work.
Agree, they are so cute, always bickering in the novel. That's why the character development is so interesting after each lifes they go through. They already lost when they changed the male lead to be OP, in the novel Xiang Yun and Chu Kong is immortals with a similar status, that's why they can bicker. The drama deleted the most important aspect of their character

@@KF-zb6gi yess Chu Kong and Xiang Yun had equal status in the heavens. None of them were too strong. That's what makes it special, they actually had to work hard and struggle to fight their enemies. Even in their incarnations they took parts to be the stronger. In one lifetime Xiang Yun would take care of him and vice versa. But changing this, the story becomes the same cold faced overpowered ML story we see a million times a year
Is the novel available in English somewhere? I thought the premise of the story was interesting but the video ( of which I’ve only seen a couple episodes and some clips )didn’t seem to be going anywhere. It actually struck me as more of a video game script. Visit these places to build up health before a big boss fight….

Yeah they even changed the first encounter between the fl and ml ... It was literally brawling kicking and punching but in the drama it became the usual typical scared and innocent fl ... What the hell !!! Destroyed the novel .... what were the script writers doing ??? First arc was my favourite one ..the way lu chankong injures his one eye,the way they escape and the whole white eyed wolf scene was so epic and they removed it whole .... I am so disappointed! !!! The second arc is also completely bullshit ... Zihui was an intelligent and cunning character and what did it became .. They didnt did the novel justice

Young Blood 2 is the only costume drama I’m watching. Although there are some problems with the direction and post production work, but the script, action and acting save the day. And the last couple of episodes plus the finale are simply epic. I like the way there’s a post credit scene on the final episode that soothe the emotion of the fans.
Is it good? I watched 1 ep and couldn't find the same vibe as the prev one, so I dropped. Also subtitles were not good. Are they better now?

The animal arc was the last life. They added so much it doesn't even resemble the original novel. 7 lifetimes was meant to be a punishment for having a fight in the matchmaker gods temple and messing up all the strings tying couples together 🤦

I tried reading the web novel, the female lead is masculine, fights, and doesn't behave in a ladylike way. It seems to me they decided that won't do for the drama and stripped the character of ANYTHING distinctive. In the first human lifetime, she is basically an alcoholic. Can't show that, there's nothing else to show. Ooopsie.

They even changed why they had to reincarnate 7 times, they were supposed to be punished for the mess they cause. The drama changed it to, voila, like any other drama that exist 'love overcomes all boohoo' shit and make them do love tribulations that does not make sense

NOOO I FREAKING ADORED IT (and found a new actor I was previously unaware of to keep an eye out for 👀 lol), especially like the first 70% or so (towards the end I did feel like I liked it less/it was rushing to end? Something like that, I liked each tribulation less than the last: overall chu Kong is the bestest boy ❤ followed by Lu Chan Kong, then the sect master etc etc, each iteration was less loveable than the last, imho); but I haven’t obsessively binged anything THIS MUCH (finished it all in like 3 days 😂) in a while!! (And I cried A LOT 😭 LMFAO)…the closest I got to binging a drama that religiously as of late was probably Who Rules the World (I have yet to finish it though, in comparison; it’s good, just saying I didn’t complete it like my life was on the line lol; I binged like the first half then took a break, eventually went back for a few more episodes…will finish it eventually 😂 currently binging Back From the Brink, almost done lol 7 more episodes left after binging nonstop once again for like two days lol and before that Dream of a Twin Flower (have a few episodes left of that, it got shelved until I complete BFTB for now lol)); IT IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT, haven’t seen costumes (and environments too, but ESPECIALLY the costume designs, and the wigs looked so natural and good!! As compared to the usual frizz or more fake look I’m used to seeing in dramas) that look THAT GOOD probably like EVER!! (May be a slight exaggeration lol but definitely one of the most beautiful dramas I’ve ever seen looks-wise) ❤ the costume designer deserves a raise, especially for the outfits of the lead pair (and ESPECIALLY for Kong kong’s heavenly outfit 😍😍)

I have kind of a like-hate relationship going on with this drama. Things I like things I hate and then in between there is some enjoyment.The very first thing that is on my list that grates me ycy's dialogue delivery. It is not good especially for a costume drama. Second would be the added character of that prince who is always there grabbing screen time ruining things. Things I like is Ding Yuxi, also I do very much like the beautiful styling.
I would recommend reading the novel, so so much better

As an international fan, I can only say that it's been a pleasure to watch Love You Seven Times. I've seen countless films and series and dramas, I've read many reviews about the most varied cultural objects, all of them with the following characteristics: description of the object to be criticized (a film, a series, a drama, a book all completely viewed and completed) then presenting the negative and positive reviews, centered on that object, without comparisons.
I don't see anyone as a pseudo god of criticism, whose word is the absolute truth. Therefore, I will continue to watch dramas that awaken in me some aesthetic and emotional sensibility, that are impressive. Then I will be prepared to read different points of view and add this other points of view.
