As a retired dog groomer I've experience mats and sore ears my question do you ever used betadine solution to clean any old wounds or this was a process we used on older dogs that would come into the just wondering

Hi no, typically with coat mats the biggest issue is harbouring fungal. Mites are treated with medication, but the wash will ease the skin and literally will be great within a day. Betadine tends to discolour the coat and leaves a slight residue, so easier this way.
