I had been enjoying UV resin, however developed an allergic reaction to it. If anyone is interested in an alternative, Sophie & Toffee has a really nice glaze, it's called "Sophie & Toffee Sealer Super Gloss". I've found that to give the most beautiful, consistent results, since stepping away from UV resin. I'd love to hear about your experiences with this glaze, as well if anyone else has tried it. that's such a good recommend! thank you so much. I myself try to avoid resin as i live in a home with other roommates and such, and i do not wanna make anyone sick like you experienced! Thank you.
@angelita alitas Hi there! Yeah, it is true that clay absorbs polish after some time but mine hasn't so far! It's been more than 3 or 3.5 years, my clay charms are still having this glossy look. I think other than absorbing the polish, it has to do something with the quality of the nail polish. But yeah, I think it's kinda safe to use clear varnish.
From my own personal experience with that mod lodge is that it makes the clay like sticky. I tried making earrings and the only kind of glaze I had was the gloss mod podge and so I used it and it worked well I wore the earrings and such but then after a week or two he earring started to get really sticky and flint and stuff would stick to it. I really would have loved it you mentioned that in the video. I don’t know if it felt sticky to you.
