    This guy is the real deal. Thank you for uploading this. I'm ashamed I have not done this after replacing over 10 speed queen blower fans and blower motors since 2015 when I purchased my mat. Thank you. Need to be careful with the fly switch on these. Very delicate.

    I just had to change a fan in one of my HTT30 dryers. When you started the dryer, it would vibrate and rattle very badly, I thought the whole fan came apart. Instead, it was only missing one blade, the fan was otherwise intact. I had cleaned the fans a few months ago, little to no wax / lint on the blades.

    Glad to see the wiring info, could you add disconnect plugs for it all ? So everything is a plug and go.

    nice but in moving all the wires you pulled the greenfield as we call it out of the relief fitting at the motor and did not put it back in properly.
    i would say if i was working for you this is not right and fix it properly:)

    Hi Keenan, I've got 5 old Speed Queen commercial dryers in my Launderette. Sometimes the dryers start but half way through a cycle will not reignite and just stays cold. Have you had this problem ?
    Thanks, Rich (UK)

    My speed queen stacked dryer won't stop spinning. Do you know what could be wrong with it?
    It only stops if I pull out the motor wire from the back.

      I would think the ice cub relay is bad. If it the model that has an ice cube relay.

    Hey Man...I have a dryer blower motor that won't start. Have you ever had one go bad? Capacitor?

    • @FollowingKeenan
      @FollowingKeenan  2 роки тому

      Yea, capacitor is 1st thing to check. Capacitors have a spot next to the two blade terminals. If poped out it bad.
      Other thing it could be is a relay. On speed queen and huebsch older dryers have ice cube relays. They wear out and do the same. If you have that type i would switch blower with dryer drum terminal and see if it starts.
      In 13 years of this i have yet to have the winding in a dryer motor go bad. Bearing ive had them go out. They still run just really noisy.
      Hope that helped!

    @FollowingKeenan I have the same dryer std32dg and am a new owner/operator I was wondering if you knew how to repair this model when it won’t heat up as hot as it should, or could direct me somewhere with more info

      Need a little more info. Is it heating up but turning on and off a lot? Compared to a good running dryer next too it?

    Just saw your video, I have the same stack dryers, had the bearing freeze and torn the shaft off the drum, do you have a video, and or where I can get a break down of the parts in gonna need for this repair?
    Thank you in advance
    Denny

    • @FollowingKeenan
      @FollowingKeenan  3 роки тому

      So the actually shaft of the drum is bad? if so I can do a video on that not that hard to do. Hardest part is putting the belt back on. Ill get a video up this weekend!!

    • @dlc8130
      @dlc8130 3 роки тому

      WOW, thank you for your reply! Never done this repair before, where is a good, reasonable place to get the parts? I am assuming I have to replace the part that attaches the shaft to the drum! Haven’t gotten it apart yet! Also do you recommend buying the tool for releasing the tensioner?
      Thank you,
      Denny

    • @FollowingKeenan
      @FollowingKeenan  3 роки тому

      I dont use any tools for taking tension off the belt. You might have to buy a used drum. Ebay is where I would start. Search for it and see what you find.

    Question if I use liquid fabric softener in the washer, does it still cause buildup in the dryer or is it just dryer sheets that do that?

    I've got one lower pocket that consistency gets 'won't dry' complaints. I've changed the blower, thermister, cabinet overtemp, & ignitor. It seems to operate normally, but it won't dry in the same time frame and the one next to it. I've even looked at the exhaust pathway, but found no obstruction. Anyone have any ideas?

    • @FollowingKeenan

      What's the flame when running look like, real blue or orange and yellow? Have you actually vended it and watch it run compared to above unit at the same time. Both units should flame on and off at about same time. Etc... That a another way to see what's going on. Using the good unit as an example of what should be happening.
