it was- despite being written ostensibly to help facilitate Mike Reid's exit, it ended up being the catalyst (excuse the pun) for a lot of characters, most notably Phil.
The young homeless man's death caused Frank's mental breakdown and Phil's alcoholism. Great writing. Then years later they have some rubbish about lying to Jay, saying he was his dad. Terrible writing. What a way to cheapen this great storyline.
It was a great writing for the 1994 car lot fire storylines. But I remember they did again in 1996 the second car lot fire but this time Phil got trapped and Barry was the one that hired a hitman to burn it but to scare frank but Phil got there mistaken I think. But surprised that Barry did it I never thought he would be capable of doing that.
@@bensmithkent22Yeah true characters undergone personality transplant like Phil, Minty, Terry, Billy. But remember when Barry first came he was a streetwise womanizer dodgy geezer confident businessman streetwise womanizer and best mate of David Wicks. You remember he was responsible for second car lot fire and gave Cindy the number of hitman to have Ian shot. When did Barry had a personality transplant changed exactly into a loveable comic bumbling clown of the square and what year exactly mate.
Brilliant acting - one of the best plot lines in Enders history.

best version of phil was 94 hard as fuck bu4 atleast he cared untill a year later he was a mess on alcohol
Yea this version i think is harder than the later fat mess that bullied his way around after say 1999 or so
@@bensmithkent22 couldnt stand phil in the 2000/2001
